Friendly staff lots of great animals looking for forever homes no charge for adopting either

Found a stray, the city told me I could take it here after I said I couldn't make an appt due to I already have dogs and couldnt risk a fight. They said it's ok just take him there. I arrive and the staff were unfriendly and unhelpful and said No. They also closed at 6, and while waiting for bernalillo county to come pick up this dog the security came out and told me to leave the property. All after being told they wouldn't accept the animal and to try calling someone else for pickup. So I'm sitting In my car outside the property with a dog that I was just trying to do the right thing.

We were able to bring home a sweet new fur-baby. Everyone at this location we delt with were fantastic in every way.

Employees were friendly and knowledgeable in regards to the pet we wanted information on. We ended up adopting our to little girl after they asked us some questions. The staff made the experience wonderful.

Super friendly and helpful... I went to have them scan the microchips on 2 doggos I found wandering near my home. They helped right away; and I was able to get the fur babies back to their home.

Got a new kitty the other day and she is just the friendliest little critter!!! I couldn't be happier ???? thanks for whoever surrendered her

I had a very bad experience today here at this place! I drove all the way out to the west side shelter almost 60-70 miles. I wanted to adopt this nice puppy. This guy named KEITH who handled the dog was quiet, he didn't say anything. I was trying to be sweet & kind to the puppy but it was very scared for som reason of everything KEITH didn't help, didn't interact KEITH got rude for some reason . I told KEITH puppy would make a nice addition with other little puppy I have named snoopy. KEITH said" not to talk about the animal being a fighting dog or guard dog or this visit would be over right this minute"! I never said mentioned or even implied anything like that! KEITH became rude and said I would be put on a do not adopt list! I told him what? I did nothing to incite a argument with KEITH yet this guy had a attitude towards me & told me off. He wasn't helpful kind or courtesy. KEITH walked off with the puppy insulting me & wanting to fight me! I wish I had recorded the whole incident & experience but I have a bad impression of this place now because of this guy I would never recommend this place to anyone and definitely never go to this place again!!!*%$^!&%

Surprisingly the animals were well taken care of.

Someone stop me! Way too many cute pets. So I take home a 13 yr old cat..lol get a pet that loves you!

This place is so sad. All the animals locked up in thier own cages. Brings a tear to you eye knowing they could be shairing a loving family. To bad people are not more receiptive to adopting a loving pet as a family member.

They are always very kind and helpful. I always appreciate their help! I wish to thank them for helping the animals!

We got two kittens no adoption fee

Both the east and west side shelters had a nice availability of cats and they appeared to be in good care. We were helped by volunteers to see the animals at both locations.

So fast to adopt a cat fast and friendly my kid was super excited

Very caring staff, with a lot of suggestions & advice on how to take care of a new pet. I only wish it had a room for its animals to run & play, and a room where I could sit & get to know my potential adopted pet.

We went here looking for 2 sibling kittens. Many kittens but we found the pair for us. Clean cages and litter boxes. No bad smell. Older and crowded facility, and due to the overcrowding of pets, adoption fees are waived. Free adoption, which I have mixed feelings about. Anyway, staff was very pleasent to interact with and we had a very pleasent visit!

I had such a good time talking to the team and the volunteers and hanging out with Nacho he is looking for a forever home. He has been at the shelter since May 2021 but he was there before. He is super active and he loves dogs!

Many furry friends needing homes. It's nice to see so many different people checking out the animals. They are a no kill shelter. These animals need a lot more time being loved, and a lot less time in a cage, so don't make them wait!
