Had to bring a little girl Sparkys somewhere because she was not gonna make it another day or so. We drove up to the building and Were taken care of right away, Without hesitation they were sweet kind and generous with their time. Very much appreciated.

My first time here. This place is no good. The doctor overwrites a prescription of trazodone (which I still have) for my dog, so he can sit still for a general shots Appointment. My lil guy is a chiweenie and very friendly so he cried and I asked to hold him. That’s when the Veterinarian told me he only cares about the money, that if he get his hand bit he can’t do surgery tomorrow. It was so off putting of a statement that I had to leave. Hey guys from a local business owners perspective this guy has no integrity and he only cares about the money. Which means he’s probably doing the wrong thing. Be careful and find another place to do business. He has no passion.

DISGUSTING CARE! I do not have words to explain the disgusting behavior for Gabby the front office person. And Mr Heidrick. Mr Heidrick is far from a compassionate veterinarian. I have a 12 year old Maltipoo that suddenly started seizing this morning. I called and was able to get in. Although that should have been my first red flag as they almost refused to see us because I did have a concern about the cost as I am on a very tight budget. My husband and I brought our dog in to be seen. She seized a total of 3 times while Mr Heidrick was in the exam room. When I informed him that my dog was seizing, he responded with “I see that.” She continued to seize for 5-7 minutes with no help from Mr Heidrick. We were then given two options: 1.) attempt extensive measures or 2.) euthanasia. When the vet tech came in with the euthanasia estimate, she proceeded to try to sell us the add ons for the cremation. We did ask the vet tech to not explain any further as we had not decided the route of care we would take. The vet tech ignored our request and continued to try to sell us the add-ons for services. We had to explain an additional 3 times before the vet tech stopped. Laughed at my family and gave us a thumbs up. Ummm excuse me!? As the vet tech left we sat and began the discussion of what needed to be done. It was then Mr Heidrick came into the room very aggressive and told us not to abuse his staff. No where was the staff abused we were calm and polite and then mocked by the vet tech. We tried to explain the situation to Mr Heidrick whom responded “I understand you are upset, but this is my house not yours and you can’t abuse my staff”. Very confused at the point my family and I looked at eachother. Truly confused. Mr Heidrick then proceeded to say “okay well figure out what you want to do. He then laughed and gave us a thumbs up”. At this point I was flabbergasted I am holding my now limp dog. And the vet is mocking us!? Needless to say we left and were continued to be mocked by Mr Heidrick. We were able to get our dog seen by another vet. Unfortunately by that time it was too late. We had to put her down today 09/21/2021 @ 1145. Unfortunately we won’t know if Ventana Animal Clinic was negligent at this point. But we lost our baby. And the way Ventana Animal Clinic treated us was disgusting.

After several years with this clinic, I am looking for a different one. Unfortunately this clinic was purchased by VCA. The last several weeks two of the three vets left leaving only Dr. Sean Jennett , who I will not use or trust. My vet was Dr Contos, then Dr Heidrich after her retirement. I've recommended this clinic to everyone looking for a reliable, caring veterinarian. Unfortunately that has changed recently. There are a dozen clinics closer to me but I always went to Ventana. My leaving this clinic was caused by a mistake made by Gabby on 8-20-21. I made an appointment with Dr Heydrich for yesterday 8-20-21. Gabby (receptionist) lied to me and tried to con me into seeing the only doctor left (Sean). I had brought one of my dogs stool and urine sample for Dr Heydrich to run tests on. When I refused to see the back up doctor, I asked for a tech to draw blood like I have done dozens of times in the past. But the back up doctor said I have to have him examine my dog first. This is not their practice until yesterday. Even after asking if I could leave the two samples for Dr Heidrich as discussed prior to the appointment, I was told that a new exam must be done ! I no longer recommend this clinic. It's sad to see all the recent negative reviews. Most concern Dr. Sean Jennett. I never met Dr Velasquez, but she too has left this clinic.

I have to stop using this vet clinic, my vet left, quit? New vet is not liked by my dog. Very expensive now, no choice of doctor. Going to a vet on 528 maybe in Rio Rancho instead. My cousin left this vet also

We recently had to put our beloved dog down. We went to vca animal clinic because it was the only place open at 1:00am, the kind staff helped us and treated us very kindly. A couple weeks later a sweet card came and a stamp of her paw which was very nice. The compassion showed from the first call to the letter made all of the difference during this time. Thank you guys so much.

Dr Sean and team were amazing !! Took my 13 year old boy (Titan) in for a mass removal on his hind leg. Dr Sean is a true professional. I felt very comfortable putting my best bud in his care. Dr Sean went above and beyond. His passion for veterinarian care and knowledge is 5 star ⭐️. A genuine person who cares. ???? I really appreciate the waiting system from the parking lot, so much easier, less stress on me and prevents my boy from acting a fool with other dogs ... one good thing out of Corona time ????. I hope they keep doing this long after Corona time is over. Thank you Dr Sean and team !!!

The staff here is so kind, they really were the sweetest to my kitten and they were pretty quick to have my pet seen and taken care of. They were also fairly inexpensive compared to other vets. Overall I am so happy with their service!

I have been taking my dog Upea (OOO-pay-ah) to VCA since she was a pup. Everything I have had to get done from shots, antibiotics and being spayed has been a wonderful experience. The love and care they show the animals and their owners is second to none. I highly recommend their veterinary services, you will not be disappointed.

Absolutely amazing service! I have never been here before. My daughter's female poodle was having a long difficult labor. It was coming up to 4:30pm mind you they close at 6pm and we needed to make a quick decision. We called several veterinarian offices for advice and no one would see her. We were told to take her to an ER but when we called we were told it would be a 4-6 hour wait knowing what the issue was. We put my daughter's poodle and her babies in a basket and went to VCA Ventana hospital for help. The technician immediately came out to the car and took her and babies in. After an xray and speaking to the veterinarian who was extremely helpful and compassionate we had to have a c-section performed on her poodle. Let's just say mom is doing well and the 6th puppy was saved. Thank you to all the staff that helped us in our time of need. We truly appreciate you all for what you do and for caring for our babies!

The staff here are wonderful. They saw us immediately after our puppy suffered a trauma and our regular vet was unavailable to see him. VCA and Dr. Heidrich are our go to vet office now. Very professional, responsive and good with our puppy. Thank you!

The vet I worked with wasn't very kind in regards to my dogs anxiety. Even though during Covid you have to sit in the car and can't go in with your pet. The techs however were very understanding and helpful.

We have been going to Ventana animal hospital for years and years. Recently our cat had life-saving surgery and we knew he was in good hands with Doctor Heidrich. The staff is caring and professional we highly recommend Ventana Animal Hospital.

It is sad that a The only service provided is routine well dog care. If you use them as your vet and your dog is sick you have to find an emergency clinic to get help for the animal. Should advertise as a shot and routine care only.

Please tell your patients when there is a price increase on medications in advance, not when they're ordered. Luna's meds increased $42 a month, which is a significant amount.

Hardly any wait. Thorough service. Took good care of my girl without price gouging me. I'm going to bring all my fur babies there. Also, there is an app that's very informative and you can pay from wherever with it!

Took 4 animals there, spent over $1200 within the last 4 weeks in routine check ups and vaccines. When the puppy had an emergency with blood in her diarrhea they advised they don't have an appointment for 2 weeks. Super disappointed and will not recommend. Will also find another vet for care.

They were extremely kind. The Dr. gave it to me straight and came back and talked with us 3 or 4 different times as we struggled with the decision to put my 11 year old pitbull down. The diagnostics done were logical and fair, nothing that I felt was unnecessary, he didn't push me one way or the other which I appreciated.
