The Staff is friendly and professional...be sure to be VERY specific about your Breed Cut. They cut my Schnauzers skirt off.

Always love the personable and caring service they give my dog time and time again. They are probably the best groomers in town in my honest opinion. I'd definitely recommend.

The walk in nail clipping service is amazing, and they’re so wonderful with my fearful dog.

When I parked to bring my partner's Basset Hound in for a nail clipping, I debated with myself as to whether or not I should pay for parking since I didn't have change and would have to buy an entire hour with my card. I shouldn't have paid, because I was in and out of there in less than 5 minutes! $5 5-minute nail clipping, what more could we ask for?! A discount card is what more - at the end of the service I was handed a punch card which would make our 10th clipping free! I forgot to ask what the nail clipping schedule is like, but on that day they were open for walk-in clippings until 2pm.

Took my miniature poodle in for a haircut. They were professional and prompt. Lancelot came out looking like a champ, had no nicks or cuts, and did not seem fearful of the staff in any way. Looking forward to his next appointment.

Everytime I bring my dog (Terrier Australian Shepherd mix) to them they do an exceptional job and I can tell that he is very well taken care of. They know their stuff when it comes to grooming dogs as they don't just take the clippers to the animals like all the others I've gone to in the the past. It's a nice little family place and a staple of the Nob Hill area and definitely worth the drive to keep my dog happy and healthy. I'd definitely recommend this place.

Very good groomers here. They don't just "shave the dog, because it's got a few matts" These groomers actually work on the dogs the way they should. Brush work, scissor work. I love it!

My sweet dogs become feral beasts if I attempt to clip their nails. Scot's has some kind of charm to soothe the savages and does the job quickly at a reasonable price. When I have a kid strapped in a carseat, they'll come out the alley door for curb service.

The only reason I'm not shocked Scots Dog Grooming is rated so highly is because my Yorkie was given a summer cut that is absolutely adorable. Unfortunately, that (and a nail trim) is all they did for the $50 grooming. THEY DID NOT GIVE MY DOG A BATH. When they asked what I wanted done, I told them I wanted a trim, her nails cut, and a bath (since not having to bathe her myself was a priority). The woman at the counter said "Of course!" The first sign that Scots is less than professional was that they are the only groomer I have ever gone to that has not asked for a copy of the vet records. The second was that they had me pay (and tip) before I was able to see my dog. I have never been in a situation in which I was asked to tip BEFORE seeing the work for which I am tipping, but once I picked up my dog, I immediately saw that she had not been bathed. Before I left, I pointed out that she still had dandruff and hair clippings all over her body. They assured me that they gave her a bath, and I wrongly decided to believe them. Once we were at home, it became profusely clear that they hadn't because of her smell. A dog who has had a bath in the last few days DOES NOT smell the same as a dog who has not had a bath for over a month. Part of the reason I took my dog to the groomer early was to avoid the pain of giving her a bath. Thanks Scots; now I have to do that anyway. It's truly unfortunate that they did not give my dog a bath because her haircut looks so darn cute.

The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because of the short notice they were able to see my dog. Actually, I'm assuming it was short notice because they had tons of cages of dogs in the back that would not stop barking the entire time. One star. So, I had to cancel my appointment with Barking Bad because my veterinarian said my Old English Sheepdog needed a haircut as soon as possible (lots of foxtails in my area.) I drop him off to a fairly dirty building with a cluttered inside, and am told they will have him done around a certain time. They end up calling me around 30-40 minutes after the expected time. I arrive and his haircut is incredibly choppy and uneven throughout his entire body, and they cut off his bangs, which should have been parted. His privates still looked dirty. His teeth did not look cleaned (don't know if they even do that.) His nails are chopped and not filed. His feet hair is still clumpy. They did not dry his underbelly completely. They didn't find a minor hotspot he started licking on his paw, probably because he was nervous in a chaotic building in a cage. He usually comes home from groomers happy. And, now he seems depressed. I'm assuming this is because the tiny corridor of a grooming shop was crammed with at least 8 other dogs in cages that would not stop barking. Paid $100 including tip, and will never be returning again.

This is where we have taken our dogs for years, I love them. Only drawback is it's hard to find parking, but other than that, no problems. They always do a great job!

Cheap for nail cutting ($6). Nice owner. Oh yeah... parking in nob hill area sucks though.

I've been taking both our dogs to Scot's for years. One is big with short hair, one is small with long hair, and we've never had a problem. Our dogs always look great, and very happy when we pick them up. A great addition to the neighborhood!
