Compassionate attention to my pet's various needs and ailments from staff members of all positions kept our best friend Jojo with us for longer than expected. Both veterinarians are of highest caliber, empathic and highly skilled.

I went here with my moms elderly kitty to put her to sleep ????. Everyone from the front desk ladies to the Vet Techs were extremely kind and considerate. This was not my moms vet, yet they treated me as if they knew me and Snickers our whole lives. The Vet was amazing! There aren't enough kind words to say about him. We loved on Snickers for a very long time. So many lovable words and caressing for Snickers from everyone. The Vet actually gathered a little bit of Snickers Blanket to put under her head as a pillow. The kindness that everyone showed Snickers and I will never be forgotten. A Big HUGZ to all at Sandia Animal Clinic. Thank you Dr. Maurer and staff from the bottom, middle and top of my heart for giving Snickers the tender and loving goodbye that she so deserved.

I'd give nor stars if allowed. Dr. Schott knew my dog had severe kidney issues and still prescribed him Buprenorphine. Buprenorphine shows cautious use for dogs with kidney issues. She never mentioned this. When I contacted her about it she couldn't care less. And with the initial visit which was just for dental work she was using verbage trying to scare me into thinking my dog had cancer and he did not as VCA confirmed Sandia didn't even take a biopsy. Told me to come back for lab work for more $. But that she'd inly seen it that type if cancer once and she was sure that I should go home have wine and cope with it he didn't have much time left. The scans would tells us more . I went for another clinic for my follow up...I suggest VCA for accurate explanations and actual concern.

They take very good care of your pets! They are thorough, genuinely care and listen to health concerns, and give very high quality care while being very reasonably priced with good promotions and discounted care "packages," such as their "Puppy Package" which includes comprehensive testing and first year vet services such as vaccinations for a nice, reasonable, all in one price.

I have been utilizing Sandia Animal Clinic for approximately a decade. The service use to be considerate and helpful in addressing my past and current dogs needs.. My wife and I have been attempting to get our dog seen for about a couple of days at Sandia. However, we find ourselves on this pace where we have to call early hoping for her to be seen, then told to go somewhere else. I believed, its the receptions/vet techs' attitude that I find unacceptable being a long-time client. What happened to being a valued customer for the number of years! I find it sad because I have always valued their service for my animal's needs. Customer service is poor and again its sad. I was told to go somewhere else, which I did . I contacted Aztec Clinic who felt that my dog warranted to be seen right away. I appreciated their compassion in seeing my dog right away. Although, I am not their client they provided consideration to me and my dog. Again, it is sad to have depended on Sandia for my animal's needs and to be relegated in such a way. Thank you for allowing me to share my thoughts. Dr. Greene

Highly recommended! They care for each and every animal that walks through their doors, as if they were their own. I've been taking my babes here for over 10 years. Thanks for always taking care of my fur babies through the good and bad times.

I've been there a few times, vets are always spendy so it has to be almost life or death before I will even call. Nobody had any appointments available that day and they were all booked for atleast a week and my situation was pretty severe. My eldest dog has gotten a little bit clumsy and when he tried to jump off the bed he hit something, I was in another part of the room but I heard it and it didn't sound good. But as usual he bounced back up and went about his business, (he will be 16 in September). So the next day I noticed a very large lump on the side of his throat and I didn't want to panic so I calmly googled it and researched all the things it could be and found that he had hit his Salvatorey glands and read on and then I panicked, it could be very serious and very expensive. So after I decided that I couldn't afford the surgery that it said most often is always the outcome because of the swelling over parts of his throat that could result in him not breathing, not being able to eat, or maybe not even be able to drink. So I did the only thing I could do and researched all the information that maybe would help me make him comfortable in the event that the ending might be tragic. And I'm please to say after playing medicine woman and I still am he's doing very well. I gathered ALL the information on how I might be able to save his life, and I was so amazed at the household things and some antibiotics I aquired from my own doctor ( i was desperate) that could make the results that he is experiencing now. He still has a little bit of the lump and I wake up several times a night to make sure he's still breathing and let him sleep right next to me at all times, I make him lick my hand everytime I think about it to make sure he hasn't dehydrated himself and he is doing better than I ever thought he would I was prepared for him to pass away because I didn't have between $300 to $5000 for the surgery that might or might not of saved his life. So God Bless Google it has done a few life saving miracles for me and I could not live without it!!

Terrible service. I had an appointment at 8am. Stood outside my car with my dog for over an hour. More than one employee walked past me without a word. Other guests that showed up after me were helped. At 9:10 I left. Will never go to Sandia Animal Clinic again.

Very caring. They love my baby girl. Was a bit surprised that I was charged an office visit when we took her back in for a booster shot a month after the first shot and office visit.

They care SO MUCH for both their patients and their patient's owners! My cats have been getting their routine care (and occasional mishaps treated) there for years. Sandia Animal Clinic carries the prescription food one of them needs, and even has a convenient online refill site on their webpage. The providers and staff are all really nice and very well-versed in what they do. Your pet will be in good hands with them!
