Aztec Animal Clinic Albuquerque, New Mexico

I am so happy I took my dog to Aztec Animal clinic. I was concerned he had a UTI or something worse. Dr. Jones and the staff was wonderful and very personable. Also, my Doberman was happy there. The people behind the desk were awesome, and Dr. Jones and the assistant were wonderful. I will most definitely bring my other dog and my Bearded Dragon to this veterinary clinic when that time come. I highly recommend this veterinary clinic to anyone who values excellent customer services on all fronts!

I have nothing but positivity and warmness with Aztec. Unfortunately, one of our babies at home has been really sick, our (Beardie). I appreciated the sincerity we were provided. I called them thinking they were my local animal clinic. But they were not, I wish they were closer. But its just the fact they answered all my questions, took the time to ask about my pets health and condition. The receptionist and veterinary were very professional. I would recommend them for your next pet check up.

We recently adopted two young dogs from the ABQ shelter, and we were delighted to see Aztec listed as providers for complimentary checkups in our adoption packet. Our veterinarian and vet tech went above and beyond for us and our two new family members. As a matter of fact, the whole crew from reception to exit was friendly, professional and efficient. Naturally, anything beyond the standard exam accrued charges; I mean the extras, such as labs and meds, but it was really nice to receive a free visit from our neighborhood provider for our new BFFs. We feel confident we have found a great veterinarian team in the neighborhood.

What an amazing practice! Although I'm a new client, they got me in within the same day when I called to let them know that my cat was sick. Although she's normally aggressive at the vet, they took their time with her, only did the exams she needed most, and let her take breaks to make sure she didn't feel too scared. As a result, she was well behaved! Aztec even called me back the day after the appointment to check in and find out how she's doing. I'm so happy with this amazing level of care!

I love the team at Aztec! Dr. Ochoa did a dental on my dog, who recovered so nicely with shiny white teeth! Dr. Ochoa listened to my concerns over his previous anesthetic event and adjusted his protocol for a smooth procedure.

Love the place and attention to detail. Our visit with with Dr Sedam and he was very patient and thorough and appreciated his time with us.

They helped me when I needed an emergency visit for my sugar glider. I called everywhere, everyone was booked but these guys where the only ones to ask for my info in case there was a cancellation. Which thank goodness they did have one so I was able to take my little dude in! Once there we were taken care of quickly and professionally. You can tell this vet understands gliders as the last time I took him elsewhere it did not go well in terms of handling. She was just plain amazing in how calmly and well she helped us. I would fully recommend you take your pets here, it’s affordable and everyone really cares a lot!

Highly recommend their puppy preschool. Their veterinarians are great. I recommend Dr. Jones. We have 3 dogs under her care. 1 geriatric pitty, 1 adult Chihuahua and this sloppy pitty puppy.

I absolutely love this place! When my dog was a puppy he got really sick and I thought that I was going to lose him and they fixed the problem and even checked up on him a few weeks after to recommend me food that might help. They are friendly and considerate and that's all I could ask for

My family has taken their pets to Aztec for years. There has never been a vet or vet tech that I haven't thought was great. I am 80 now so that covers a lot of years! Yesterday, my present dog, Willie, and I saw Dr. Love and, as usual, had we both had a terrific visit.

I couldn't say enough good things about Aztec Animal Clinic. My little puppers is a quarantine baby and she's super shy and under socialized. The staff and vet was very understanding, and were super helpful. I will always come back here.

I've absolutely loved taking my dog to Aztec Vet Clinic. I was able to bring her in to the Puppy Preschool and Socialization class, and she still loves going to the vet's office and seeing everyone there. Everyone at the clinic is great to work with, and I greatly appreciate that the veterinarians will explain/walk through different treatment options if/when needed.

Where have these people been all my life as a pet mama? New in town and got me right in when my dog developed an eye infection. Staff was friendly and caring and they obviously love their jobs. Dr. Sedam was very thorough and clear in his exam. I mentioned my pup loves cheese (only thing he would eat that morning because he felt bad) and the next thing I know, the tech has brought him some cheese to the exam room! But the best part...I have never had a vet actually talk to me about how much I am spending and giving me options on treatment while in the exam room. Usually I just get "sticker shock" once it is over. So appreciated, and the cost was very reasonable for what we had done. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Thank you, Aztec Animal Hospital. You have a client for life!

This is the only animal hospital out of 20 that we called that was not only willing to take our dog (even though we were non-existing clients), AND they all showed an amazing attitude and heart to help and make things happen on a very short term notice. Phenomenal office manager Janann even worked overtime to help with the health certificate despite approaching a day off. I can’t express how much that meant to us, because we could have otherwise not left the country with our dog. In other clinics you hear: “we don’t take new patients, next appointment is in two weeks, it’s against our protocol to squeeze you in”, etc. We know that Aztec was also fully booked out, but they still made it happen. We recommend this clinic to everyone! Also Dr. Sedam and his assistant were very kind, extremely helpful, and our dog also felt it. Thank you!

These guys are amazing! Friendly and really thorough, but you can tell they also really care about their patients and aren't just trying to sell unnecessary services to make a quick buck. Very knowledgeable and trustworthy. I love Aztec!

Regarding NAIL TRIMS : The Vet Techs at Aztec have a special way with my dog, Pacheco. For several years now, he has walked back happily with them to have his nails trimmed, then he trots right back out, feeling fine! The tech with him nearly always tells me that it went very well. Once they suggested that I wait longer before returning for the next nail trim. I appreciate their advice. No other places (ie. groomers) that I’ve tried have been able to do this for my 30 lb. strong, squirming dog.

Very overpriced, felt like the Doctor was up selling me prescriptions and procedures for my dog. My last vet charged around $50 for visit and $80 for abdominal X-ray; Aztec charges $68 for a visit and $234 for the same X-ray. Aside from this, they were professional, and the facility was clean.

I’ve been taking my cats here consistently since around 2017 and I’ve never felt more comfortable at a vet clinic as I am here! The staff is amazing and I’ve never had a bad experience here. Reception, vets and techs are always so helpful and amazing! The vets & techs are so gentle and loving with my animals and always do their absolute best! Special shout out to Dr Pease & Dr Matek! ????

I have always had positive experiences with Aztec. Every doctor that my dogs have seen has been very kind, thorough and responsible. I usually have a million questions and feel bad for asking them all but never once have I felt dismissed. Yesterday and today my chihuahua was brought in as she was not eating and very lethargic. Dr. Pease was her doctor and has been AMAZING! She is has been so empathetic (as I'm sure most of feel that our fur babies are our actual children) and has taken so much time to care my little one. The technicians have also been genuinely concerned and did not push me at all when reviewing the different treatment plan. Additionally, the receptionists have also been awesome and super friendly every time I call or come in. I'm sure it can be tough at times to put on a smiling face during a pandemic and also seeing animals in pain. I have recommended Aztec to my friends and family and will always be a patron of this wonderful establishment as long as I have fur babies!
