Dr. Pope and her team provided exceptional care for Motley. With both her eastern and western expertise she allowed my family to have 14 extra months with my rottweiler what was battling 2 very different types of cancer. I will be forever grateful for her and her team. Stephanie Lorenzen

My dog was diagnosed with cancer. I already had a doctor providing his chemotherapy, but Dr Pope provided additional treatments to support his immune system so he stayed healthy during his treatments.

Dr. Kendra Pope loved our sweet Tucker like he was her own dog. She sat on the floor with him and played with him till he felt comfortable. Her entire staff is just truly amazing. Unfortunately, despite all of Dr. Pope’s effort our boy did not beat his cancer. I received such a beautiful sympathy card signed by everyone in the office. It wasn’t just a signature, each staff member took the time to write a sweet little note. I strongly recommend Dr. Pope and her staff.

Dr. Pope and each member of her staff are exceptional. The kindness and caring shown to us right from the start assured us that everything that could be done was being done. This knowledge helped us through a very difficult time. We would not hesitate to use Dr. Pope again.

Hi! This is the kind of service you kind of hope you never need as it does mean you pet has a cancer diagnosis, but it's the kind of place if you do need it you are so very happy and thankful it's there. Dr. Pope and all of her staff are so wonderful and caring. Dr. Pope will take her time in explaining everything to you and all of your options and assist you in trying everything you can to give your pet the longest and most comfortable time left as possible. I am so very thankful Dr. Pop and her staff where there for me and my dog and he made it more than year after his diagnoses and she made that time as comfortable for him as possible.

would highly recommend Dr Pope and her staff to anyone looking to care for their pet in any form. They're incredibly kind and go out of their way to make my little lady feel better after she dislocated her elbow.

I had heard Dr. Pope speak a couple of times on different dog health platforms and remember thinking if my dogs were ever dealing with cancer Dr. Pope is who I would want to have on their team. Fast forward several months later and one of my pups developed a mast cell tumor. We decided to have it surgically removed by our local veterinarian but then made the trip from NC (where we live) to NJ to see Dr. Pope to set up the best protocol for my dog moving forward to hopefully prevent other tumors in the future. From our perspective it was well worth the time and expense to make the trip. We have so much more peace of mind knowing that we are being coached by someone with Dr. Pope's knowledge and expertise.

I highly recommend Dr. Pope for anyone who has a dog with cancer and even for pet owners that want to provide their dog with a holistic care approach. Dr. Pope and her entire staff have been a pleasure to work with under such unfortunate circumstances. Cancer is a terrible thing but the entire office is so upbeat and kind that it makes the awful diagnoses more tolerable. Her knowledge in this field is so specialized and truly remarkable. My dog has recurrent hemangiosarcoma and my only regret is not meeting with her the first time he was diagnosed. We have been extremely happy with our experience with Dr. Pope.

UPDATE 11/2021- this review was originally submitted 23 months after Dr. Pope started treating my dog after a pancreatic cancer diagnosis with a prognosis of just 3-6 months. Now it has been 37 months and he is still active, happy, and dare I say mostly healthy! His treatments and supplements are modified based on his needs and tolerance, and Dr. Pope and her team continue to treat us both with such hope and compassion. ************* ORIGINAL In August 2018, my Golden Retriever, Strider, was diagnosed with a malignant pancreatic tumor. Surgery was attempted but aborted due to the complexity of attachment and pathology showed that it was not able to be treated with the standard chemotherapy or radiation. Pancreatic Cancer is rare in dogs, and all I was initially provided by his diagnosing oncologist was instruction on palliative care options and a 3 month life span prediction. But, I couldn't accept the option of doing nothing for a dog who was still active, alert, vibrant! One doctor recommended Dr. Kendra Pope so I did the 3 hour drive from Maryland to Red Bank NJ for a consult. I was impressed by the education, options, and hope I received during this consult. I learned of alternative treatments, supplements that stimulate the immune system, and current clinical trials. I was given options that at a minimum would improve quality of life. I was hopeful that the clinical and biological plausibility of some treatments offered would result in more time with my heart dog. 23 months later, I am still making a monthly run to Dr. Kendra Pope for high dose IV vitamin C infusion, supporting supplements, and continued monitoring of a immuno-modulating mistletoe trial! Strider is still asymptomatic and continues training/competing in retriever events! Dr. Pope and her team are amazing to work with. Dr. Pope's manner of communication is excellent. She explains options, the science behind them, and even the gaps in the science. She keeps current in related research and shares new options/thoughts. She treats the pet parent as a partner in treatment! The veterinary staff, are all so kind and encouraging; friendly, eager to help, and routinely go the extra mile. The office is decorated and outfitted to be calming and beautiful, a wonderful counterbalance to the stressful reasons that bring people there and the long days that some treatments require. I appreciate the partnership in treating my dog and am so grateful for all these good days with him! Highly recommend, not just for cancer patients, but for a holistic look at overall wellness options too!

I can not say enough great things or recommend Dr. Pope and her tremendous team enough. Especially as a long distance pet patient and parent, we are so grateful to have her a part of our care team for my ten-year-old Shih-Poo and his complex case. Dr. Pope is not only extremely detailed and thorough from the very beginning, but she is one of the few in the country with her credentials and certifications to understand and help with the most complex cases. Additionally, she is very compassionate and passionate about what she does, and you know that she genuinely cares and truly wants to do everything possible both for the pet patient and parent going through challenging times. Despite our reason for wanting to work with her, she is someone I will want to work with again for any and all future pets.

Dr. Pope and her staff are remarkable. They treated my dog, Bacchus, as their own. They did everything in their knowledge and power to keep him alive as long as possible, while giving him a quality of life. If it wasn't for them, he wouldn't have lasted as long as he did while still feeling good. He, really, did very well, until the last 24 hours of his life. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Pope and her staff for them.

Dr. Pope was absolutely wonderful! My dog, Sully, had a cancerous tumor in his mouth. Since I didn’t want any aggressive surgeries, I decided to drive an hour to see Dr. Pope to help Sully feel more comfortable in his last few weeks. Dr. Pope and her staff were so welcoming and comforting during a very difficult time. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Pope for a holistic approach to your pet’s care. Bonus: Her office by no means feels like a veterinarian office! It’s the cutest office and is by far the most welcoming space to bring your pet. It almost feels like you’re walking into a pet spa, and not a veterinarian office.

I brought my7 year old German Shepherd in for treatment, in hopes of either a cure or maybe remission of his Cancer. Unfortunately my boy succumbed to this hideous disease, but he was treated very special while he was there for treatment, and that I am grateful for all the love he was given by Dr Pope and her staff!

I have been a client of Dr. Kendra Pope for several years with different dogs ,one requiring acupuncture and cold laser therapy ,the other with aftercare following cancer surgery and chemotherapy. Her expertise of different infusion procedures along with supplements to maintain my dog's health and well being is impeccable. We love and appreciate the care given to us

Dr. Pope and her team are very caring and thoughtful. Our Shih Tzu girl Nala had pancreatic cancer and there were not many options for us. Dr. Pope took the time to educate us and help us through our difficult times. The cancer did end up taking over but if not for Dr. Pope’s holistic approach I believe we would of seen it take over sooner. I just wish we found Dr. Pope sooner. Nala was diagnosed July 4th and passed Feb 2nd.

Dr. Pope is an amazing Vet and an equally wonderful human being. We saw her when our senior Samoyed "Maddie" was literally on her last legs. Maddie had every inflammatory disease imaginable - Cushings, Diabetes, LarPar, and a severe spinal disorder. Dr. Pope and her staff were extremely caring and compassionate. Walking into her zen-like office immediately put all of us at ease. Dr. Pope then spent the next 90 minutes or so reviewing Maddie's records, examining her, and developing an integrative treatment plan that combined our prescription pharmaceuticals with supplements to reduce inflammation. She gave us hope, which was the most important part of the visit. Afterward we were thrilled when we started seeing results. Within a few weeks, Maddie needed less insulin to ensure good blood sugar control. So if you have a pet with a chronic disease, or if you want to optimize nutrition for a healthy dog, I highly recommend Dr. Pope for your all your pets.
