Everyone here is so nice, caring (which is what you would look for in a doggie daycare), and give good feedback on the dog's behavior which is good for training. They also do fun things like back to school photos.

They lost our dog. We boarded our dog with Pit Stop while we were out of town, and Pit Stop inexplicably let our dog escape. He was running around south Philly for over an hour before anyone was able to find and catch him. He could have been stolen or hit by a car or who knows what else. Also, when we finally recovered our pup, he had scrapes on his nose and the bottom of his paw. Please don’t leave your precious pets with them. To make matters worse, Pit Stop deleted my negative comments from their Instagram and blocked me from the account. It's very appalling behavior. Further, my initial google review keeps getting scrubbed from the internet, and I'm not sure why. Pit Stop did apologize for letting our dog escape, but it really doesn't matter. An apology doesn't cover this level of negligence.

The team at PitStop HQ is second to none-- the dog handlers do an incredible job taking care of the pups as if they are family. Jon at the front desk is super friendly, very helpful and wonderful with the pups. The PitStop HQ team is always available to answer any question one might have. Can't say enough good things about PitStop HQ and it's talented team.

It brings me great joy to be able to write this review. My puppy absolutely loves getting his energy out and Pit Stop has done wonders in letting him do this. Everytime we walk into the shop, the incredibly friendly staff greets us by name, and he is always excited to visit. They also have, what I believe to be, the best rates in Philly (I haven’t found another place that gives an hourly option). Most importantly, they treat my pup like a valued member of my family and are always willing to provide me with a detailed update when I call to check in on my little guy. If you need a phenomenal day care, this place is for you.

I use Pitstop as an alternative to taking my dog Nutmeg to the dog park on days when it's raining. It's super convenient that they have an hourly option and their pricing is very reasonable. Everyone I've met who works there has been super friendly and they all clearly love dogs. Nutmeg loves this place to the point that on our walks, she now guides me to Pitstop's door. When I pick her up, she is happy and tired which is perfect. I highly recommend checking this place out if you live in the neighborhood and your dog loves dogs!

I have not used Pit Stop unfortunately because our sweet dog passed away. That being said, my experience with Pit Stop was always superb. Great and caring owner. My dog was always happy to spend time at daycare and frequently stayed over night. Always was a thrill to see her pic on Facebook. Caring staff that are true dog lovers!

My dog is a little nervous around strange humans and pups but fits right in at pit stop! They make the process very easy, no daycare reservations required, and post pictures/videos on their Instagram account at the end of each day. My dog comes home exhausted whenever she’s there!

The team at Pit Stop treat my pup like their own. Whether she's there for daycare or boarding while I travel, I know she's safe, well cared for and having fun. Sheehan, Austin, and the entire team are the best.

This daycare is really great. Back in April, I brought a dog that I had rescued to Pit stop to get him more socialized with other dogs. Needless to say it was a disaster and they called me 30 minutes after dropping him off to say he was way too anxious to participate in daycare. I appreciated this, because I know some daycares will just lock a dog in a separate room to keep your money instead of letting you come pick up the dog early. Secondly, Sheehan was amazing in letting us come back a couple months later to try again once Barney was more settled in his new home with me. Despite the fact that he jumped their gate twice and broke it! Now, Barney goes to daycare about once a week. While he is still nervous when I leave him and is still getting used to the daycare atmosphere, the staff at Pit Stop has been awesome in helping him get acclimated, and I can tell he is steadily getting more comfortable with being there. I appreciate the dedicated, hands on care that pit stop provides. The only thing I wish they would do is install a camera in the back so we can watch our pup play during the day!

Can’t say enough good things about this place. Flexible hours, reasonable price, amazing staff. Bonus - they provide “back to school” photos and poop bag holder free of charge :). I leave my pittie mix here for hours while I’m at work and know she’s in great hands!

I love bringing my dog to Pit Stop for Grooming. James is the BEST! Theo leaves looking great and with some extra pep in his step. He's a tough little guy and James is world class!

PitStop is the BEST! We take our dogs here quite often. The staff is super friendly and know our dogs so well. They are very responsive and offer specialized care to my very nervous rescue dog. The owner even let him sleep in his own house once. I feel safe bringing my rescue here.

Decided to take my 1.5 year old pit mix to daycare for socialization. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. Staff is super friendly, very well priced and genuinely care. Highly suggest!

Grooming of my sweet lil pom was a disaster...

Great local doggie day care that successfully entertains and exhausts our dog whenever he goes. Can pay for the day or a very reasonable hourly rate. We have also used them for basic grooming services including nail clippings.

Cookie is always excited to come spend the day and play with her friends. We love that they have overnight stays that are crate free, as an “only child” she loves the sleepovers with her friends. They do not offer this anywhere else. Although we moved out of the city, Pit Stop is still where we bring her. We trust the staff and know she is in good hands whether it’s for a few hours or a week stay.

I’ve been taking my dog, Aster, to Pitstop for almost a year now and I can say in confidence that they are the best doggy daycare service I’ve ever brought any of my furr babies to. The people that work there are so sweet, take special care of my dog’s needs and try to work with my schedule as best as possible. Pit stop has made my work life far less stressful knowing my buddy is getting all the love, care and attention he needs. Plus! They are affordable, have a grooming service available, and a store front for any supplies you might need. I know Aster gets a workout playing with the other pups and comes home the same happy pup as he went in. I wouldn’t hesitate to just give them a call as their communication skills are super on point! Honestly we don’t even think about contacting other daycares anymore. This is the only stop we need.

Pit Stop is a life saver. What a friendly and reliable team! Can’t wait to use their grooming services soon.

I have been bringing my dog to pit stop for years and know he really loves it! He’s stayed over nights a few times when I’ve gone on vacations too and the owner Sheehan is always very responsive and informative. This is the only dog day care I will bring my dog to. I love seeing pictures of him with the other dogs and knowing he had a great time. The store at the front of the daycare has adorable stuff too, it’s very convenient to get all my pet supplies while I’m there. I also have tried their grooming services, I have a Chinese crested dog and have been disappointed with other groomers but at pit stop he comes home looking great. I highly recommend this place for all of their services.

We (and especially our 9-month old Goldendoodle @sallydoodlephilly) LOVE our friends at Pit Stop. We've been coming to daycare for a few months now and Sally comes home exhausted and happy. Alex and the team there are fantastic - friendly, funny and very involved. We are always confident Sally is in good hands, and the process of drop-off and pick-up is a breeze. Also, with flexible rates, we can drop her off for a few hours or overnight. Sally is so excited she usually starts dragging us to their front door when we are a few blocks away. Highly recommend.

Pit Stop is the best! Gizmo can often be scared in new places but she always runs in excited for the day! And everyone there knows her name as soon as she walks in!

Never had a dog NEEDING daycare nor so much socialization! She comes out from day day care so excited and energetic; nice way to tell that she's so happy and having fun here at Pit Stop! From my first impression, a phone call with Asia and conversations with her in person as well as Brian and Austin, I love knowing how much love and attention she gets here as well! I love the store too as she looks to me for a special snack for her car ride home too! No where else I'd ever trust with my rescue! Thanks to you all for what you do!

My puppy loves his days at Pit Stop. He enjoys socializing with the other dogs and I know he is being cared for in clean safe spot where the workers seem to really enjoy him. I have used Pit Stop for overnight care and drop off daycare. They keep a well-stocked little storefront and have been helpful when I have ended to try new leashes or needed treat advice.

Pit Stop HQ saved us! We were visiting Philly for the weekend & we couldn't leave our dog alone for too long at the Airbnb because he was having separation anxiety. They allowed our dog to stay at their doggy daycare on short notice and even gave us great advice on how to reduce his anxiety. We will definitely come back
