The adoption process was fast and easy, and the staff were so warm and kind. After the cat I had my eye on was already adopted, a female staff member told me there was a similar kitty that had just been taken in by the shelter a few days prior to my visit. That cat is now my best friend! Since this is my first cat, staff provided me with information packets as well as verbal advice to best care for my new feline. What a great experience! If you’re considering adopting, choose Morris.

I surrendered my cat and changed my mind. The staff was very kind and professional.

I just tried calling to ask about volunteering, someone picked up the phone & hung it up. The following two times I called rang until voicemail. I could actually hear the person talking in background as they picked up phone & ended the call.

We adopted a precious kitten from here and it was a fast and easy process. I did the adoption questionnaire online ahead of time and saved some time. Everyone was so nice and professional, and all the cats looked well cared for and healthy. I would definitely adopt from there again.

Morris Animal Refuge is the gold standard of reputable and ethical animal rescues. An employee at Morris offered me late-night support and educated, professional advice during a harrowing experience with a dog I adopted through a DIFFERENT rescue. The time and energy Alisa invested in my situation- that wasn't even connected to Morris- was the pinnacle of animal advocacy and compassion. She doesn't know me, but I will forever consider her a part of our family's story. She, and the rest of Morris, are true defenders and lovers of animals in a world that can be very, very dark. I trust them inherently and unwaveringly, and I am so grateful that they exist as a resource in the animal rescue field.

I wouldn't advise anyone to volunteer there. Because I was excused for something that I didn't do. It was discrimination. Everyone was nice to me but two people. I will get a lawyer to fight this discrimination. And I didn't say anything racist. Your one employee was and one of the volunteers. They were rude to me. I don't deserve to be treated like that. I was nice to everyone. There was no reason for you to let me go. You also cause me to have an panic attack real bad. I wouldn't take the pregnant cats there either because they kill the kittens before they are born. If you try to call them they won't call back because they are jerks.

Kind people. Extraordinary animals in need of loving homes. Our nation's first organization helping homeless pets too.

Hello this is Eddie Mary fiance I just wanted to tell you that this is very unfair what you did for Mary she did a lot for you put a lot of time and hard work for you let me tell you first of all she is not racist her parents will not raise her that way second of all I want to know too inappropriate behavior that you said she did that was against your policies. If you do not give me the proper reason why you let her go I will definitely be forced to use legal action and I know many many many lawyers who are willing to take this case I think you just got rid of her because she was slow but you lied and said she did races and other things just tell me what she did that was wrong

I've heard great things about Morris Animal Rescue. I love all animals but cats are my favorite. I recently suffered a stroke and cant work anymore in my field as a Chef. I am looking to volunteer a few days a week to help take care of some cats if that is possible.

The only drawback to this awesome place is that they’re too damn good at their job and the dog we wanted to adopt from the website was already adopted. Pro tip, follow their Facebook page for all the great animals they have up for adoption ☺️

We adopted our girl from Morris just about two years ago and the support doesn't just stop when you sign the papers. The staff have been incredible and love to get updates on their alumni.

Customer service is awful ! Called many times Left message and never called back . I decided to go there myself since I was not receiving a response . I was interested In adopting a dog my friend was fostering for them and he was told the adoption fee was 300 350 , which I had no problem with donating because I’m all for helping animals when In need and all the shots and spaying was Included . And it was demanded not Suggested which was unprofessional . When my Friend was fostering he brought both brother and sister over to my Place to test it out Was great when I noticed The boy pup started acting weird And shaking and would let open its mouths or couldn’t Stand on its own which seemed like he was having a seizure which went on for a couple of hours . My friend. Brought both in the very next Morning to get checked out and the girl pup Had one as well . When I got to the shelter to find out what was wrong I wa told that the dog was fine and don’t have any seizure at all meAn while it happen right in front of my face in my apartment Then then wanted me to Sign a contract with out reading it and pay the 500 on the spot. Felt like I was basically at a puppy Mill at that point especially when. The price magically went up 200. ? ??

I volunteer at the best shelter with all who work and take care so wonderfully dogs and. Cats. I go when I can to play with pets and walk them. Feels so grateful forgiving to them all I can. One of the greatest decisions I have ever made. It brings me so much joy to be a part of these extremely fantastic animals.
