PetSmart Ocean, New Jersey

Just bought lots of supplies for our first puppy! They had so many options for everything we needed. I would recommend any first time pet owner start their shopping here.

(please note: last pic posted is from a previous haircut and what I showed groomer as to what I wanted! Other than my two pups coming back clean and well cared for, there’s nothing good I can say about their recent haircut. When I originally called for an appointment, I asked for an experienced groomer since I have two cocker spaniels and they require more detailed grooming. I was told I was getting the person who is in charge of that store location and has been there for years. When I dropped them off, I realized two different girls were grooming each of my pups. I had an open mind and showed them pics of their previous cut and what I wanted. Also, they were groomed 4-5 weeks earlier, so they had a great base line to follow. When I picked them up, I noticed their top knot was left long, disheveled and cut uneven.(I realize top knots are hard to perfect) but ears, face and body were also cut uneven and in shaved areas, there is different lengths of hair, where it should have been evenly shaved. I debated whether to leave this complaint, since I realize every groomer has to start somewhere to learn their craft but I also paid a lot. When all said and done, with tax and tip, I paid $230. I would return in the future for bath and blowout but unless it’s an absolute emergency, I wouldn’t have my pups groomed/cut here again.

Today was my first time using Pet Smart for my 6 year old Ragmuffin cat. I am so impressed with the job Ann did today. It was not an easy feat he was very matted! She was sweet ,,, professional... kind and patient. I did watch the other groomers there and was so impressed with them as well!!! You guys have a new and very happy customer!!!

Great place and great service!

Not a lot of choices of fish tanks for betta fish. The 1st male betta fish I bought, died 2 days later. I noticed he wasn't really eating/spitting food out. I was, however, able to return the deceased fish & got a new 1, & he so pretty. Good customer service as well. Happy 2022!

After dissatisfaction with my local groomer and inability to get an appointment at other local specialty dog grooming salons, I gave this PetSmart a go out of desperation. It worked out perfectly! Our pup is 9 years old and has been to groomers in a few different states, and I can confidently say that this was a top grooming experience. PetSmart grooming was easy to book online and also has fair pricing. We couldn't be happier with the adorable cut she received from groomer, Anne B. She was fantastic!

To make a long story short. After waiting 1/2 hr at a curbside parking spot I went into the store & the employee got nasty with me. I complained on their survey.

They need saltwater fish tank stuff

As many reasons you may have to shop at the establishment itself it’s not worth going through the whole ordeal of speaking to and dealing with the staff they make everybody feel uncomfortable during the process and you can clearly overhear them talking bad about the customers shopping and complaining about having to help certain customers but not others overall decent products just terrible management choices

Disappointed with lack of wet cat food on the shelves. Supply chain seems to be inconsistent

I'm not a fan of animals being sold in pet stores but PetSmart treats their animals very well.. Also employees are fabulous animal friendly and caring!!

Every animal needs a proper care no matter how small. They had hermit crabs in a tank with no extra shells this poor hermit crab was in a shell way too small for it with no options. Of course I bought it so that it can be given a proper home.

Good place to come pretty much all the time has all your pet needs. Friendly staff

I sent my boyfriend to buy stuff for the dogs but he left because they made him feel uncomfortable. The cashier told him "don't do something he wouldn't do because he could go to jail" .I proceeded to confront the manager on duty but she didn't seem to care. Incident occurred around 9:30 am on August 30th , 2021

Their glo fish and betta fish need to be taken care of better. Some clean containers and Epsom salt would go a long way.

So my daughter has a pet toad and she was so happy to be able to learn and purchase new things for her toads habitat very helpful and knowable stuff very clean
