We have been using this animal hospital for 25+ years for all of our 10 pets. I absolutely love this place and cannot imagine going anywhere else. Dr. Duhr is the best!

There is nothing you could have done to make the experience better. I drove 1 hr and 20 mins to see Dr. Duhr, as I moved from Mahwah to Central Jersey. I had seen 2 different local vets and I just didn't feel comfortable with what they had to say about my cat and their solutions to the problems I was coming to them with. Dr. Duhr and the whole staff at Ramapo Valley animal Hospital proved that they were night and day from the other vets. You all truly care ! The long trip is definitely worth my time! Thank you!

Dr's. Duhr and Katara always take their time when examining my cats and dog. They are thorough and answer any questions I may have whether it's a well or sick visit. The tech staff is attentive and the receptionists are friendly and attentive as well. They are well stocked with meds, food and holisitc items as well. The office is clean and welcoming. We’ve been with RVAH for 21 years. The entire staff along with Dr. Duhr have always taken the best care of our fur babies. From new puppies to end of life decisions, RVAH gives the best care and I always feel like a valued customer. I always feel that I am billed fairly and never feel pushed into services or products for another up charge. Highly, highly recommended!

My appointment was excellent from making the appointment for Shoshoni's exam and shots, to the professional and friendly team at the desk and the technicians, to Dr. Duhr taking great care of her. His assistant was so nice and didn't even mind being covered in her white fur as he held her for her procedures. Dr. Duhr and his team are keeping me informed about any follow up needed to take the best care of Shoshoni. Thank you RVAH team!

Great staff, really caring, very professional

I have been going to Ramapo Valley Animal Hospital since 1993. They have taken the most AMAZING care of my past 3 fur-babies. Our last fur-baby passed on a Saturday evening and Dr. Gary Duhr opened his office just for us at 8pm after moving all day just so our “child” can be put to rest in a familiar place. All Dr. Duhr cared about was the comfort of our baby-boy! I can’t thank this office enough for all of the compassion, empathy, sympathy, professionalism, and care they showed to all of my pups; they truly treated my pups as if they were their own. I would continue going to them if I didn’t have to move. If you are new to Oakland, NJ, or are looking for a new vet, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GROUP! Not only have they become family to me, but they have become family to my fur-babies! Thank you all for everything you had done for my “babies”. YOU ARE THE BEST!!!

Haven't had the best experience - took our pet in with potential crystals in urine & waited 6 days for a response EVEN THOUGH we called every day. Even then all we got partial info - found out from web there many types of crystals & treatment was based on type, so we called back again slowing down treatment. Had a 2nd similar incident another time & choose to take pet to another facility, so not impressed. Like the Dr & love the Techs but FOLLOWUP IS VERY FLAWED.
