Oakhurst Vets have taken such good care of all our fur babies. We know that our animals can expect very competent and compassionate care. The kindness of the staff has helped our family through some very recent tragic times.

They did an awesome job of keeping our boy safe overnight. They called to follow up on his care.

First visit with my Doberman. Front desk was very pleasant, signing in was relatively quick. Met with Dr Campbell, he looked over Riley's history prior to the exam. Nice guy, didn't complicate anything, got right to it and that was that. But Oakhurst VH will be my new primary vet.

Hospital and Emergencies should go hand in hand. Ive lived across from this place for years and its gone down hill every year. Now we dont do emergency visits for pets. Let your pet die, or be smart and take them to Red Bank Veterinary Hospital. Which is an actual hospital that takrs Emergencies.

They have been taking fantastic care of my senior dog. I was very nervous about putting her through surgery but Dr. Schock and crew took fantastic care of Patsy. I am grateful for their level of care.

I tend to be very emotional about leaving my pets for procedures, making it very difficult for me. In spite of that, I never hesitate to leave my pets in the care of Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital. The staff is extremely friendly, efficient and professional. The doctors are outstanding. I totally trust them, especially Dr. Levinson. She treats my cats like they're her own and I observed how the cats take to her immediately. My cats were feral, so that's amazing. It takes so much of the fear out of having a procedure done. I highly recommend them.

Once again our visit to OVH with one of our cats was very warm, caring, and professional. Cyrus was diagnosed with dental disease and Dr. Campbell patiently explained all the treatments needed, possible outcomes, and prescribed pain medication and an antibiotic until he can have surgery. Dr. Campbell is very gentle with pets and always shows compassion. That is one of the most important things we look for in a vet. We will always recommend OVH. If you care about your pet's wellbeing there is no other veterinary facility you should go to.

Take all our animals here. We use Dr. Campbell. Professional facility and staff. Very friendly, efficient and effective. Never any real waiting.

I had to change vets a few years back. My boyfriend referred me to Dr. Campbell. Great doctors and our dogs board at their pet hotel when we are away. I am able to relax on vacation because I know they are in good hands.

I called for an urgent care visit and got appointment right away. I was treated with kindness and compassion. And my Jordan is on his way to good health

My kitty Bandit (a feral) cat had a problem I noticed on her side and I wasn't sure what it was. She kept licking it which seems normal for a cat so I ignored it. Eventually she showed up one morning and had pulled her fur out and was bleeding. Being feral it seemed impossible to capture her but Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital said as soon as I get her "bring her in" Well after many failed attempts I eventually captured her and brought her in having no appointment. I was seen quickly by Dr. Matthew Schiffman. He was so gentle and kind to Bandit. I was extremely stressed out. They cleaned her up, took care of her and took a biopsy of the area. They gave her the proper medication and shots she needed. I thought the bill was going to be outrageous but it was not. I am very grateful to him and his staff. I'm waiting for the results of the test. Bandit is resting comfortably now. Thank you Dr. Schiffman.

Outstanding veterinary hospital. Dr. Rawlins is outstanding and while my dog does not trust her, I do completely. Have now been with Oakhurst Vet and Dr. Rawlins for 10+ years. Just had another physical and shot update. My dog is doing better than I am thanks to her.

Caring staff that ensure my cat stays in good health.

Dr Schroeder is the best! He was so gentle and caring when my older Maltese, Candy became very sick. He made himself available and took the time to explain everything thoroughly. He made the most difficult time a little easier. I now take my newly adopted Maltese, Maddie and she is so calm and comfortable. You can sense he genuinely cares. I cannot recommend him enough!

One year ago we made the switch to Oakhurst and it’s been the best decision we ever made. My dog suffers from anxiety (only when going to the vet.) Last year we saw Dr. Thomas and he was AMAZING! He let our dog first get acclimated to the new environment before attempting to do anything. After many treats he still saw that our dog was nervous and said he didn’t wanna push him that day. Two weeks later we picked up the comfort package which is medicine to relax our dog before attempting anything at the vet and brought him back. This time Dr. Thomas was able to get some of the shots he needed to get done. However, it was still a struggle with our dog he was fighting to get out of the muzzle even on all the medicine. Dr. Thomas suggested to fully sedate him for his next visit to ensure Kenny (our dog) is less stressed . Today, I gave him the comfort package medicine before going and he was good. When we arrived his nerves kicked in and he was shaking up a storm. The staff brought us in and went through standard procedure questions before seeing the doctor. Dr Thomas came in and suggested we bring Kenny in another room to make him think he’s going somewhere else and he’d do the sedation in there. To be honest, I was nervous he would come back and say it didn’t work. Instead, he came back in the room and said it was a success! I can’t tell you how happy I was that he was able to sedate my dog and get everything he needed done done. I’ve been raving all day about Dr. Thomas and the whole staff! I hope this helps anyone in making a decision! They’re the best and truly care for your animal ! Thank you a MILLION !!

My cat needed an appointment ASAP. I emailed on a Friday night not knowing if I’d even get a reply but I woke up to a reply by 7 am Saturday morning. Asked me to call and ask for Katie which I did. Phone was answered quickly unlike RBVH and I got an appointment for the following Tuesday. Upon arrival I got in quickly also unlike RBVH. My cat had the best exam ever! Dr. Thomasey is excellent! My fur baby was in the best hands. All tests were done quickly too. I’m very impressed!

Our cat June, swallowed a piece of cloth and needed to have it removed surgically. The team of doctors led by Dr. Schroeder did an amazing job with our kitty. I’d recommend this to any pet owner. I cannot thank you enough.

I live out of state and visit my parents 2-3 times a year. My dog, Chewy, has a habit of either getting sick or eating something he’s not supposed to on our visits. Oakhurst has always been kind, patient and accommodating. Recently, Chewy ate a bed sheet and it was a stressful week to say the least. Dr. Thomasey was amazing! He calmed me down, was so gentle and sweet with Chewy, and prescribed all the right medicines to get that bed sheet out. He took X-rays to make sure nothing was left behind and gave me all the right symptoms to look out for at home, even checking in every day between appointments. Honestly, love this hospital more than our home location, and trust these doctors to take great care of my baby! Thank you Oakhurst!

I've been using this vet for probably 20 years. They are always pleasant and professional. I have a "difficult" dog, but you would never know it by the way they interact and care for him. The place is always clean and well maintained.
