I've been taking my westie to Community Animal Hospital for over 10 years. The office staff and vets are amazing, especially Drs. Lorig and Cohen. You can feel how much they truly care about the animals they treat. As he's gotten older, my pup has had a few persistent infections and they have worked with me to get him back to feeling better, spend time with him and listen to my concerns. Even when they are super busy and packed with appointments, the front office staff will take the time to call you back and do whatever they can to help.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. I moved to CT and I am now still traveling back to see them because I love them so much. It’s not just their amazing drs like Adelson and Lorig, but the entire staff is just SO kind. They never make me feel bad and I’m pretty much constantly in a state of panic when I call them. I love everyone here. Thank you for taking such amazing care of my bunny and for always making me feel better.

Dr. Cohen diagnosed our dog an aggressive form of cancer. We had no idea since our previous Vet said it could have just been an infection and did not have time to do the necessary x-rays and test after visiting them for 3 months. I was recommended by a friend to visit Community Animal Hospital when our dog was not getting better. Dr. Cohen was a god send she was so very caring and presented us with all of our options. Our dog passed away but Community Animal Hospital was very helpful and caring with our dog. If we get another pet this would be the only place I would take them

What a great experience . I took my Lab for a check up as a new patient today . The staff was so friendly and professional . We saw Dr. Saunders and she was awesome! She spent a good amount of time with us and was very thorough . If your looking for a wonderful vet in the area , no need to look any further .

We've been going to community for over 11 years but recently had to bring our dog in on a Sunday during emergency hours. The vet on call was Dr. Cohen and it was the first time we'd ever met with her. She is WONDERFUL, one of the most compassionate and professional people I've ever met. Not only did she take the time to talk to us that day, she called us a few days later to check in. I am grateful for her care, concern and overall interest in the health of my animal and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a vet. She makes the experience as enjoyable as it can be under the circumstances. Thank you Dr. Cohen.

We moved into the area only a couple of years ago when we got our pup. We didn't know where to go for a good vet and a friend recommended one to me. However, it wasn't until after we had our first appointment that we realized we went to the wrong one. We ended up going to Community Animal Hospital and never once afterwards considered going to my friend's recommended vet. We were so thrilled with how kind and gentle they were with our pup. He can be a bit eccentric and nervous but he is always welcome. We found a great vet with Dr. Cohen and don't want to go to anyone else. She has been so great to us and always takes the time to thoroughly check Peyton to make sure he is in top shape. Absolutely, love Community Animal Hospital

I am a British veterinarian, but I am not eligible to practice in the US and indeed no longer do clinical work. I take both my adult Golden Retriever and my new Border Collie puppy to this practice and am very happy with the service we receive. In addition to routine health checks, vaccinations and treatment of minor conditions such as ear infections, my older dog has received surgical treatment of a mast cell tumor which was successful. Obviously things are different in these covid times, and not being able to accompany my dogs into their appointments feels strange, but care is still well managed and communication is clear and never condescending. I would happily recommend Community Animal Hospital to anyone.

I take our dogs to Dr. Lorig and I know that she cares about them just as much as I do. Staff is kind, facility is clean and it's an easy drive (close to 287 and right off route 10). With the onset of Covid they now have clearly marked parking spaces and you call when you arrive and give them your parking space number. Everyone is masked, they come to the car and get your pet and the vet calls you to go over concerns beforehand and afterwards with a report.

We have been going to Community Animal Hospital for over 15 years with our two pitbulls Georgia and Samson. The entire vet staff is wonderful especially Dr. Lorig and Dr. Cohen. They treat every animal as if it was their own, and are truly passionate about the care they provide. From the front desk staff to the vet techs, this is truly an amazing facility and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good quality vet.

I cannot say enough good things about the entire staff at Community Animal Hospital. We have been going to see Dr Lorig since 2011 with our two dogs. One of our dogs has had more medical issues than the other. The entire staff is extremely helpful and professional and kind. All of the vets and vet techs we have seen have been wonderful. I especially need to say how much I appreciate Dr Lorig, who we normally see. She takes the time to explain things clearly and has answers for all of my questions. I am so grateful to her and the entire staff. Every person I speak to on the phone is super helpful. I highly recommend Community Animal Hospital.

Dr Banks and the entire community animal Staff were absolutely wonderful in treating my puppy. They were so caring and kind- I knew my dog was in good hands to get him back to good health. I cannot thank them enough for all they did. They really do love their animals they treat and will do anything to help them and you bring home a healthy animal. Absolutely the best vet in Morris County!

We are new to the area and ran into an emergency situation with our cat suddenly not feeling well and vomiting all day. We definitely didn't expect to need a vet so soon and I was overwhelmed with having to choose one and trust them with our cat. Dr Cohen and Lorig were super pleasant and thorough in their explanation of things. Conservative in their approach to treatment but upfront about what would be helpful given my cat's situation. He recovered within a few days and I was happy with the service we received. They saw us nearly immediately and even though I waited like two hours in the parking lot it didn't matter to me. Only concern is the expense; was a bit pricier than I'm used to. I've never paid for a recheck visit, especially if I'm paying for some kind of services again on that day. But this place charges a considerable recheck visit fee. Overall would use this vet again.

I bring my chinchilla with dental problems to Dr. Adelsohn and she's amazing. She handles small animals with care and kindness, and the vet techs are also great handling the animals. Dr. A does a top quality job at trimming the teeth under anesthesia, with great results. And she always explains in detail how the teeth looked/what she had to trim, which I appreciate. She knows about pain medications and medications in general for my chinchilla. She makes sure to schedule him right away after seeing he needs a trimming, despite adding to her heavy workload. She's knowledgable and kind. I really appreciate all her expertise and kindness when dealing with the stressful and heartbreaking problem of my chinchilla's dental issues/malocclusion. I don't know what I would do without her. I highly recommend her for chinchilla teeth issues and chinchilla care in general. I went to a vet in Parsippany first, but didn't get a good feeling he knew enough to do teeth trimmings well, and he didn't handle my pet nicely, so I looked elsewhere and found Dr. A. Without question Dr. Adelsohn is the vet to see for chinchillas in this area. Putting a chinchilla under anesthesia is stressful, but she has experience with this and I trust her after having had several trimmings. My pet was very sick when he first went to her (since I didn't know the signs of malocclusion) but she brought him back to good health with teeth trimmings and pain medications to manage the pain, as well as giving tips for hand feedings with critical care since it's not always easy with a sick pet. The x-rays are expensive, but necessary when dealing with accessing dental issues, and we're lucky to have someone in this area that does it because it's procedure with any good dental care. She's just so nice to my pet and polite to me. I also like that the waiting room there is in two separate parts so that I can keep my pet away from the dogs.

A terrible hospital that overcharges their clients and failed to provide my pet with emergency care that she needed. My cat was brought in as an emergency at 9am with vomiting and distress. The hospital performed an x-ray but not an ultrasound because that wasn't the day they usually performed ultrasounds. Instead of performing the necessary diagnostic tests, I was told that she was "ok" and could wait until the next day. The veterinarian drugged her for the discomfort and they threw her in a cage with no monitoring for 8 hrs (10am - 6pm according to her chart). I called at 4:30 pm to ask how my cat was doing and I was told by the hospital administrator that she was doing ok. I then received a call at 7:10pm and was told my cat was now in an emergency situation due to likely GI obstruction and needed emergency surgery - however, they weren’t willing to do the surgery and save my cats life because they weren’t staffed for late evening. This despite the urgency of the situation and the fact that they had misdiagnosed her. From my perspective, considering the circumstances, I would have expected the veterinarians and staff would have immediately performed the surgery to save her life after realizing their mistake and made whatever arrangements to have personnel in place to provide the care my cat needed. But the hospital basically refused. Instead they called me at 7:10pm in the evening and gave me the "opportunity" to rush my now gravely ill pet to an emergency hospital over 30 miles away where she would likely die alone or in surgery. After seeing her condition at the hospital I decided to take her home as I did not think she would make it through the evening (but hoped) and had to watch her die over 3 hours. Still at the end of everything, the hospital charged me over 1000 dollars for the entire ordeal despite the misdiagnosis and failure to even attempt to save her life knowing their mistake. No one offered me an apology or an explanation as to why she wasn’t monitored more carefully as an emergency case to recognize and perform the surgery that she needed vs being drugged so heavily she couldn’t express the distress she was in for hours. Ultimately, my cat was left to sit in a cage for 9 hrs dying because she was not properly cared for or monitored and was not provided surgery she needed to save her life emergency didn’t work with the hospitals scheduling and she died as a result. Avoid this hospital - there are more capable hospitals in the area that charge significantly less and are staffed overnight for emergencies

I had only but good experiences here. I tried a closer vet to my house for awhile but due to recent events have come back and am very happy I did. They are very accommodating and have a caring staff and Dr's. I highly recommend them.

Unfortunately, my pup has had to go to the vet multiple times in the last few months for a recurring problem. Fortunately though, I found CAH. They have fit me in for urgently needed appointments, taken time with me and helped me and my pup throughout our issues. I have seen Dr. Izen, Adelson and Van Beveren and truly think all of them are excellent, compassionate, caring vets.

I have been bringing my dogs to this hospital since we moved to the area 6 years ago. I have never met such caring, professional, and excellent veterinary staff before. This is an absolutely marvelous practice and I have frequently recommended it to others. As well as being treated here, my dogs often board here too and have for as much as 3 weeks at a time. They are ancient doggies (15 and 17) so it is great to know that they are being boarded where they will be cared for if there is a problem. Whenever they arrive at the practice (whether for boarding or shots), their tails are wagging. That says a great deal as my female was terrified at her former vet’s. They were boarded there on Monday night. On Tuesday I got a phone call. When they were being visited and petted by a staff member a lump under the chin was noticed. Did I want to have it checked? Yes, I did. I’m currently awaiting results. Whenever they’ve arrived for boarding they’ve been petted and treated to a real welcome. It’s obvious that they’re also visited and petted while they’re there. That speaks volumes about the clinic and it’s staff.

If I could rate this place 100 stars, I would. This is not a fake review at all. A few days ago my yorkie had a problem walking. She woke up one day limping. The following day she couldn't bear any weight on her front legs. So I searched around for a few vets. The original vet I chose, gave me a appointment but it was in two days. Just by looking at my Lucy, I knew I couldn't wait. So I researched more and I found this hospital. They were extremely accommodating with the appointment. I called at 12 pm and they gave me a appointment for 6 Pm! I went in all nervous that this visit was going to cost me a arm and a leg. Right away, the nurses were extremely friendly. When I saw the doctor, he was extremely nice and helpful. He found out that Lucy has Lyme disease. He gave us medications, he even walked us out to the car. Now, two days later Lucy is walking normal, pretty much back to her old self. The bill was extremely reasonable and I will never go to another vet again besides this hospital. I strongly would recommend them to anyone in need of animal care.
