Liz consistently displayed patience throughout our training sessions and is committed to best practices in dog training. If you recently got a dog, even if your dog overall behaves pretty well, I recommend Liz to at least show you the basic techniques that your dog will understand. If you've had a dog previously and think you understand training based on that experience, I still recommend hiring Paws First because training techniques have evolved over time!

We have used Paws First for over a decade. Liz is wonderful. She has trained two of our dogs since they were pups. Both of our dogs have loved the training and boarding.

Liz is exceptional, and has always been our go-to pet sitter. Caring, responsive and responsible, we feel confident that our dogs are well cared for. She is a pleasure to work with and is always willing to share her knowledge and expertise around training and caring for pets. Liz is the best.

Paws First is AMAZING. I recommend Liz and Paws First to all my neighbors and friends with new pups/dogs!! I adopted my pup, Ella, 3 1/2 months ago at the age of 10 months, and I really needed help with leash pulling, reactiveness, approaching and meeting other dogs, and overall obedience training to build trust between me and Ella, as she was already shaped by previous owners and fosters. I felt overwhelmed and unprepared to take care of Ella, but after the 8 training sessions, she is TRANSFORMED! I cannot stress how grateful I am to Liz and how important it is to have personalized doggie training. Liz breaks it down, starting in the home to gradually open dogs up to the world and all the stimulating factors, and it was extremely helpful as an owner to understand how their minds work in this way. She has great handouts, checks up on progress, and really made me realize "Oh, that totally makes sense, I'll do this to make it more understandable for my pup to achieve the task I want". Training is not easy by any means, but Liz gives you the tools and confidence to set you and your pup up for success to establish trust while you train your furbaby!

Paws First is an excellent service. I feel 100% confident that Liz and her team are taking care of my fur babies like they were their own. The online software make it’s convenient to request visits my my pets. I would definitely recommend Paws First for dog walking, pet sitting, and behavior training. Paws First and Liz are the absolute best. We did puppy obedience training with Liz and she is so patient and knowledgeable - she gave us such great insight into positive reinforcement and tips on how to instill basic obedience skills and beyond. We also use Paws First for dog walking and the whole team is so great, punctual and caring. Liz has most recently worked with us on helping to desensitize our dog of separation anxiety and he has made major progress in just a week or two. We know Quinn is always in great hands with Paws First!

I've used Paws First for more than four years and have found them professional and reliable. Sometimes the walkers would come twice a day when I had a long work day in the city. My dog loved all her "people" from Paws First. They take pictures of your pet and mention any issues--they really got to know her as an individual. I've also employed them for grocery runs and farmers' market runs since I don't have a car. Highly recommended!

Liz does a tremendous job with the dogs and treats them like a member of the family. We have used her services for many years and have always felt 100 percent comfortable leaving them with her for whatever amount of time we gone and during the days she and her service would walk them.

Trusting, well-organized, and my dog loves his friend time. They update you during the walk via your portal through email with pictures, which helps if you worry about your pet during the day when away or at work. Love to see him happy and enjoying his walk outside!
