They are my primary care for my large dog, who is dog aggressive. They make great accommodations for him. Also I came in for an emergency, no problems at all. Quick and helpful. They even clipped his du claws when they put him under for a procedure. Great place, great people

No comment at this time except to say I have been dealing with madison animal hospital for my dog and to say the least Dr erdman and staff do everything and will do everything to keep your pet alive and they are on it with prescriptions and helping you in every way possible. They are very busy but they still give you the quality services no matter who gets back to you they do. The staff are caring and go out of their way for you. Thanks to Rebecca Alex Jenna Naomi Caroline and the rest of the staff I know my Zoey is cared about and thank you Dr. Erdman.

I have an extreme emergency with my dog and they do not take emergencies. What kind of For-Profit-at-my-conveinence are this monsters? Go anywhere else where they actually care about your animals.

Dr. Barron was great and very knowledgeable. We just recently changed vets for our pup to Madison Animal Hospital and were very pleased with how comfortable Dr. Barron made our pup during the visit.

I'm writing this from the parking lot as I leave without having my cats examined. I'm horrified by our experience today, both customer service wise as well as animal knowledge. I would suggest looking elsewhere. *I emailed per their reply. Will update after I hear back. My email is below. Hello, I left a Google review that was replied to; I was asked to email here. At first I was surprised that I was asked to email, instead of a phone call, but based on my experience the other day I'm not sure why I'm surprised. I was trying Madison VCA for the first time (9/16) and based on my experience... won't return. And I'd warn others to consider other options, especially if they are first time clients. We arrived ten minutes late, which I understand isn't OK -- but we did blow by the entrance as it was our first time there. We also received no helpful information in advance re: directions. When I called to check in, the very first thing I said was -- "We are late; I'm so sorry, first time here - got lost, hope it isn't a problem." And whomever answered the phone just said, "We'll let them know you're here." Then we waited for the vet tech to come out, they came out asked their questions and took both cats inside. Again, no mention of the 10 minute late arrival. The next call I got.... was from a very unfriendly vet.... who informed me that because we arrived 15 minutes late only one cat could be seen, so I was asked to choose a cat to be examined. I kindly and calmly explained that made no sense for me as they're bonded and I'll have to bring them both regardless. I also explained that I don't own a car so I'd need to ask the person who was driving me, as a favor, what they thought. Well the vet DID NOT like my answers, and haughitly snapped at me that I had health concerns about one cat so maybe she should examine him. She also explained that there's only strict 30 minute slots to see animals. So in my calculations that should have been an hour (60 minutes) for my two cats -- making my 10 minute late arrival not a huge deal. I've never been in a vet examine with both of them that's lasted longer than 45 minutes. We were also told that the cats were too rambunctious (fractious) to be examined in any way (or have their nails cut) and it was suggested more than once that we need to sedate them and bring them back. Not one person even asked if we were OK with that. I don't even give them catnip. What happened inside that place!? My cats have seen vets before and NEVER had an issue. What happened inside your animal hospital that's never happened before? Why do they need to be sedated to be examined at your office? Your office made copies of all their paperwork from previous vets -- wasn't it concerning to anyone that they had never needed sedation to see a vet before? Looking forward to your reply, Maureen O'Sullivan ***3/30/2021 Update: I never received a response to my email sent on 9/20/2020.

Superior Service. Personable , reliable , informative and through. If you don’t live in the area , it’s worth going the extra miles. Unmatched service. Dr Erdman and his amazing staff heart fully care about your pet and your options which are meticulously discussed. My dog has received consistent follow up calls after her initial visit. In these times of Covid they are not only safe but very accommodating. Blessing to VCA and it’s amazing team of Dr’s and staff that nurtured my dog back to good health quickly.

My little dog is very scared of strangers and the staff here was very perceptive and warmed up with him outside for some time before taking him in. Right now, because of the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic, they do not allow anyone inside. I appreciated the time they spent outside talking to me. In and out, very quick for his mani/pedi and at a good cost.

They are good and comprehensive but terribly expensive and some of the expenses may be explained as thoroughness. I would like to use them again, but I await a change in their approach. For their sake I hope they do.

Thanks for telling me my cat had just a virus and I shouldn't worry about it and not explaining that she needed to be checked further using techniques you are not capable of. She has cancer that could have been found early. If you love your pet do not bring them here.

Pet care at it's best! There are very few that care for exotic pets! Not sure which ones they care for but we couldn't be any happier that they care for our pet skunk! Care cost shouldn't matter for your loved one and care cost is amazingly affordable! Recommend a friend? Heck I recommend for everyone!

About 1 1/2 weeks ago it became clear on a Saturday afternoon that our 20+ year old cat was in pain and failing. We knew it was time to put him to sleep so he wouldn't suffer any more. Unfortunately, our regular vet was not available so I made some calls to local veterinarians. I was told " your lucky we just had a cancellation" but when they found out we were not regular patients they quickly said they had no appointments available. I decided to try Madison Animal Hospital. The woman who answered the phone was so sympathetic and accommodating and gave us an appointment for that afternoon. Everyone at the animal hospital was so nice and and seemed to truly care it made a sad day a little bit better. Imagine my surprise when about a week later we received a sympathy card signed by the entire staff and a paw print mold of Dexter's paw. Again, we were not patients of this hospital! You don't find this kind of warmth often. We will be switching to Madison Veterinary Hospital moving forward.

The staff here are professional, so caring, and patient. The doctor has spent over thirty minutes on the phone with me in the last 24 hours as my dog needed emergency surgery. They really love and care for their own and made space for her even with their packed schedule. All 3 times I've called in the last 3 weeks they have been able to see her in less than two hours. We are so appreciative and thankful to have such wonderful animal care near our home. Note: there is a handicap accessible entrance on Main Street. You will need to press the bell to gain entrance.

I can’t begin to express my appreciation for the docs at Madison animal hospital. My young cat has been very sick and diagnosed, and the vets there have been incredibly responsive and are available for me when I need them. Everyone on the staff is great as well. They are truly wonderful, special shout-out to Dr Shueck and Dr Day.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Though I did not go in to their office, I received a lot of help and information from one of the receptionists, Leslie, when my cat ran away one day. I have only heard wonderful things from my family and friends about this place and their services and staff. My experience was entirely over the phone but the receptionist was able to ease my tensions and was extremely helpful, she even made a "Lost Pet" poster for me and put it up at their facility as well as on their social media, and she even emailed me the flyer so I could use it if needed, very sweet and caring! Thank you Leslie and thank you Madison Animal Hospital!

I gave the place four stars because there are really excellent vets but then there are one or two that I would never see again. In my experience, Dr. Schuech, Dr. Anderson, and Dr. Day are great. They listen to me but more importantly, they listen to my cats. Dr. Anderson is willing to get down on the floor to coax our shy girl out and help make her less scared. Dr. Schuech goes above and beyond in ensuring that our cats are receiving the best care possible while being mindful of cost. Once you find a vet you like, stick with that person, even if that means you have to wait for an appointment. Switching back and forth between vets can be more convenient but it also increases the likelihood that things get missed. Our cat has thyroid problems and we saw several different vets over the course of two years. It turns out that over the course of a year, her blood work indicated that her thyroid was in overdrive (increasing from 50% to 500% higher than it should be). In the shuffle between docs, this problem was never flagged and brought to our attention. Once we started seeing Dr. Schuech only, our cat got the care she needed and we got her thyroid under control.
