The Grooming Shop Forked River, New Jersey

They won me over today with a simple nail clip and file for my almost 2 y/o GSP. Friendly and professional groomers up in the front of the establishment that take the time to get to know your pet before just rushing into a monetary transaction. I usually do the grooming and nails of my own pup, (my first dog) but despise nail filing, and when in a jam, would go to another local groomer, because I thought they were the only groomer in the area to take walk-ins. Turns out, The Grooming Shop takes last minute walk-ins too. After seeing what a professional nail clip and file actually looks like, this Is my new go-to groomer. My wood floors will be better off for it, and I only wish I had discovered them sooner. Happy dog, fast and great service, and reasonably priced. This is THE GROOMER to use in Forked River.

This place is absolutely terrible. My dog has never hated a place so much. She pulled so hard to not go here a second time and she couldn't get out of the door fast enough. My dog loves going to the groomers but hated this place. I have since heard similar stories and am baffled that they have a 5* review. I would absolutely question everything. This is also the only place I have ever heard complain about my dog not being goin. Every place I have taken her has always said she is a pleasure to groom but not here. Trust your dogs sixth sense.

I bring Brody and Delilah here to get groomed as well as to get their nails cut there place has really changed since the new owner took over it's very clean very friendly they have a lot to offer in their little store and if I call that day they get Brody and Delilah in to get their nails done

Our first visit to the Grooming Shop this morning was a wonderful experience. Our Shih Tzu puppy was groomed by Jasmine and I highly recommend her. She did an amazing job! We are so happy with Oscar’s hair cut. He smells wonderful and his little holiday themed bandanna is adorable. The staff is friendly, professional and caring. We’re already booked for our next visit.

We are so very pleased with the grooming services and care taken to our pet. The staff is friendly and talented and very client oriented. Our previous groomer moved out of state; their set up had our dogs at the shop for usually 3-4hours. The Grooming Shop has excelled in time management and our dog (Portuguese Water Dog) is bathed and groomed and ready to come home in 60-90 minutes. Less stress on the dog !!!!

They are all lovely there! I have three dogs, American Bully, Pitbull/Dalmatian and Pitbull/St Bernard puppy and they were all genuinely kind to my dogs and very sweet. They all came out looking great and happy. I couldn’t be happier finding a place that doesn’t have any issues with my dogs breeds and so close to where I live. I highly recommend this establishment for all dogs.

Only shop in town for Casie !!!! We have been going here since we brought Casie home at 4 months he is now over a year old and we would not have it any other way...He is not afraid to go and they do a perfect job every time !!! I know he is safe here and we are in and out in about an hour...Would not trust anyone else...

Vicky is the absolute best, I will never trust another groomer with my goldendoodle Teddi!! Every single time she does an absolutely perfect job and he looks better than the last. All the ladies are the shop are the sweetest.

Overall Great experience This was my dogs first experience ever at groomer. I had a great experience over the phone with Gab. She got me right in for an appointment. As for the service, I was greeted by front desk girl and the groomer. When expressing my concerns regarding my dogs wound she throughly listened to my concerns. The appointment took as long as I was told it was going to be. My dog came back a happy clam and had a very wonderful experience for her first time at the groomers. She even got the cutest bandana. I can’t wait to bring her back!

I took my two large dogs to their shop for the first time the other day. I was so happy with the outcome. They were all very welcoming and kind. They also took the time to talk with us about our dogs before grooming them. Everyone was professional, kind and made me feel like my dogs were safe in their care. We will definitely be back, love it there!

I can’t say enough good things about The Grooming Shop! The place is extremely clean, the staff is FANTASTIC, and the cage free is my favorite!!! Melissa is behind AMAZING with my pup as well, he loooooves going there and seeing her every month! It’s like a vacation for him every time! Truly the best place to take your animal for a spa day and I will always take mine there no matter where I live!! Thank you guys SO much for taking the best care of my animals!

Brought my Havanese puppy in for her first 'spa day' and was VERY happy with the results. The staff was efficient and polite, they are adhering to Covid safety precautions (masks, etc) and my pup looked fantastic! I think we'll be happy clients for many more years to come. We've been taking our pup Raven to the Grooming Shop for awhile now and we absolutely love that they are cage free! All the groomers do an excellent job and Gabby is always so sweet at the front desk. Definitely recommend!!

Im very protective of my Spike and I feel very comfortable dropping him off and leaving him there. Jerree is great with him. She does a great job. Everybody is very nice and they are very flexible. Highly recommend

We love the Grooming Shop! They take great care of our boy Rylo every time we go in and he always comes out smelling fresh (and it last for weeks). The girls are all so professional and personable! Highly recommend them!
