We adopted a beautiful cat from here the staff was so helpful and the cat is so beautiful, I just want to thank everyone and I wanted to show you a picture of how she's doing, I know that you guys loved her as much as we do we did change your name to Lil girl instead of lil cat. She is adjusting well and could not be more loved thank you.

I have had nothing but positive interactions with this facility and their staff. They are truly caring and strive to make the best possible matches. You can see the love and admiration they have for each and every animal.

Managed to snag our sweet pup in March 2020 from MPAS. Everyone there was friendly, helpful, and caring to the animals and made the adoption process easy, while at the same time being thorough and practicing due diligence. If you find a pet that you want to give a forever home, show up EARLY!!

Great staff, very informative and caring. Adopted this lovely kitten , all medical records were up to date and will probably be back soon to get him a buddy since he’s super playful and sweet!

We called the shelter because we were interested in adopting a pet. We asked if we could come in and see some pets. We were told unless were coming in to take a pet right away they wouldn’t allow us in. Just broke my daughters heart because she really wanted to adopt a shelter pet. I guess will have to go somewhere else now.

Wonderful shelter located right behind the PetSmart. So many friendly animals that need nothing but a home and someone to love them. Come take a look and see the good work the team here is doing. There's no need to buy a pet when the newest member of your family is waiting here for you to pick them up!

Such great and caring staff! We have fostered several times and have been delighted with the experience. All staff were very polite and clearly loved all of their animals! Highly recommend.

I adopted my lovely Boo from there. The cages are clean and they are fed well. Most of the cats are playful and mild mannered. People were kind of friendly maybe because they were so busy. There is an adoption fee of 150 but you get the 1st vet visit free and 1st nail clipping free. So that made up for it. You also get a free bag of cat food at the petsmart next door and coupons for expensive food that I'll never buy. But my cat is wonderful.

I’d give 0 starts if i could. We are looking to adopt a dog and find a dog we like at MPAS. We call and set up an appointment to meet with him in a week, we’re told to call closer to the date we meet him to make sure he’s still available. Ok. So we call, and we’re told hes still there available. The day comes, I leave work early, we bring our current dog to come meet this dog. We get there, go inside, and are told he was just adopted by someone. The person at the desk had not the slightest clue about this. The person at the desk is who adopters SPEAK TO THAT IS THE FIRST AND ONLY CHANEL OF COMMUNICATION. This person was clueless to what was happening with the animals in the shelter. The person in the back clued her in that the dog we had an appointment to see today was already adopted. They tried to make it our fault, and say that we didn’t give them a contact number to let us know we didn’t need to come today to see him... I had called this morning 10 minutes prior to arriving when we left the house and got no answer. Amazing service. Great way to treat people looking to give good homes to your dogs.

My 16 years old daughter volunteered there, and she had so much fun, and the people treated her very well.

The very best for pet adoption. Caring volunteers, invaluable service they only euthanize for violence or illness. We have a great American blue healer mix, adopted here, wonderful experience.

Got my two adorable cats from here they mad it quick and easy and gave us a ton of discounts at the pet smart

Have lovely animals to adopt! Try to get out in the community more but could use a little bit of a clean up on their appearance, NOT THE ANIMALS, they seem clean & well cared for. Very nice staff, but seemed overwhelmed. I’d highly recommend adopting from here.

This is one shelter that really put a smile upon your face. I used to work there as a Vet Tech..they make me so proud .it is indeed the place that really cares.

Am looking to foster/adopt a pet, and figured working from home full time, right now would be the best time. This shelter has been, unfortunately, non communicative. I've left voice mails, sent a couple of emails and no response. I understand we're going through difficult times. I'm trying to help out and make it better, but have had zero contact from any of the avenues I've gone through. Slightly disappointed as I want to help, but am being handicapped by this organization.

After my furbaby passed away from cancer i went there the staff was very sympathetic to my grief and they helped me find my beautiful baby xena. They are a great organization and would highly recommend.

Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter provides an outstanding adoption experience. Their Staff and Volunteers are amazing! All the animals are temperament tested to make sure they are a.perfect match. All dogs are neutered and microchiped. The staff at the Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter truly care and take such good care of the animals waiting for their furever home!

We brought a cat because owner passed & couldnt bring it to new resodence. they gave some excuse that the person in charge of cats wasnt there.
