They took great care of my pup in pain when his regular vet couldn't fit him in! I don't know what I would have done without them. From check-in to check-out the whole team was wonderful. The follow up summary with the primary vet was prompt and thorough.

I brought in my dog with excessive bleeding. The staff responded very quickly to see my dog and quickly discuss the options. I went with medication and additional oral care to stop with the bleeding. Overall experience with the staff appeared to be great. I would recommend bringing your pet here for an emergency. The visit was a little bit more expensive then a traditional vet but not outrageous.

We ended up taking our lab in for what we thought were 2 hot spots. The medicated shampoo we were using wasn't working. We took Hersh in to be examined because she just wasnt doing well. Hersh was scared, in pain, she didnt want to be touched. They handled her aggressiveness with kindness and swiftness. They fixed her up as best ast they could...she had to bd shaved and sedated. We are blessed to have such place that treats 24 hrs. This group is amazing.

All of the vets here are extremely knowledgeable, vet techs are super caring and loving to animals, my Daisy was there for 6 days and they absolutely loved her, and she loved them. We went back today and she was super excited to walk back in. Opposite of what you’d expect from a dog going to a vet lol! I wish they would open a regular practice so my dogs can see them for their regular check ups ❤️

I was at the emergency vet hospital on Wednesday night with my cat Emily who had swallowed a transparent craft thread and they did bloodwork and X-rays on her. The vet also suggest an ultrasound but the technician who does it wasn’t coming in till the next morning. She suggested she could do it but wasn’t trained to see very detailed ultrasound but she would give it a try. I was able to be there while they did the ultra sound and the Dr first check Emily’s mouth to see if she could possibly see the string from her mouth and she did! She was also able to see it on the ultrasound as well and at that point it was official that an emergency surgery was needed. Everyone on staff was very kind and wonderful! I kept asking questions to vet techs and the Dr and they were all very helpful and understanding that I was very worried. The bill was high as it would be for any emergency but they had two ways for me to make payments and I was able to pay for the procedure Emily desperately needed. The receptionist was wonderful at explaining how these payment programs work and what to expect when I would apply for these payment plans. I was also able to visit Emily the next day. They left me alone with her in a room and told me I could stay with her as long as I want. I called a few times to check up on her too and the receptionist and Dr were very good at following up with me with details of her recovery. I can’t say enough about the staff that work there. They all work very hard with such grace and are very knowledgeable. I appreciate all the work they did to save my kitty Emily and I can’t say enough about how kind and nice they were to me! Thank You!!!

I have a 6 year old mixed breed named Mia. At 2 she was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy. I have made many trips the the ER with her specifically aera in Fairfield. Last night they recommended I take her to Clifton because they had too many critical pets. What a breath of fresh air! From the reception to the techs and the Doctors, they are the most kind, compassionate and knowledgeable experts I have encountered.

As any pet owner know, animals are our family. Yesterday we went to VEG knowing it was our 14 year old labs time. VEG staff was so friendly, gentle, and caring. They provided us with comfort during a very sad time and my family can’t thank them enough for all they do! Each vet, assistant, front desk team member made a difference.

My dog had a seizure and VEG took her in immediately and they were so caring, thoughtful, and professional. Throughout the entire visit my dog was cared for by nurses, vet techs, and were so kind. Barely any wait time and the vet spoke to me over the phone and explained throughly what happened and why and was so patient with any questions I had in person. 10/10 amazing vet hospital

This place was so helpful for my older pomeranian. I originally went to his regular vet but they couldn’t help me. When i came here, the doctor was able to figure out what was wrong right away and think of a plan to avoid surgery and it worked. They gave him great attention and they were very gentle. Also, very good communication and instructions.

Our Australian shepherd had an allergic reaction to her rabies booster vaccine on New Year’s Eve. After symptoms progressed over the day, we ended up at VEG just as the clock struck 12. I couldn’t be more grateful for their kindness, optimism and attentiveness. All of the staff and doctors made a high stress and scary experience, calm and reassuring. I am so grateful for this place and all the wonderful staff who helped us, at midnight on New Years during a rise in covid, and somehow they made everything okay and kept our girl safe! Forever grateful!

I don’t know that I’ve ever been so impressed with emergency care. I arrived in absolute panic because my dog ingested something that could have been fatal to him. The staff was very friendly, professional, quick to get him in and treat him. Such an incredible experience during a very stressful moment. Thank you so much!

We have an extremely human-aggressive dog that we needed to bring in for emergency care. Not only were the VEG staff beyond accommodating for our unique situation, they gave us a room instantly and ensured we had a clear path when we needed to take him in & out of the room. Those who are not familiar with aggressive dogs have no idea how stressful events like this can be (for dog & owner) so thank you to the staff (specifically nurse Nicole & Dr. Erin) for treating us the same way you would your other pets/patients and giving us the best care possible to save our boy, Quincy.

So, I had to take my kitten Trixxie to VEG, I had never heard of them before, but was advised to take my kitten there because the first veterinarian I called wasn't accepting new patients. Upon arrival, I was cheerfully greeted and made aware of what to expect like how long the wait will be. They gave me a 45 minute wait time. True to their word, we were called in from the car. The veterinarian was kind, knowledgeable, and funny!! The natural kind of humor, where you are not trying to be funny but you just are. She explained everything to me including the possible procedure we may have to do if my baby's lip does not heal properly. The entire staff is friendly and wonderful. I loved the experience. Thank you VEG.. There's no doubt that the staff there loves animals.

The Veterinarians to the whole staff are above and beyond Amazing! Seeing what they do first hand is nothing short of incredible. The care and compassion they show the animals put me at ease. You are kept up to date on what's going on with your pet. Everyone there are saints in my book. What I witnessed from the heartbreaking to the joyous gave me even more of an understanding of what these guys do daily. I highly recommend VEG in Clifton,NJ, they took great care of my kitty,my little boy. They should take pride in that they do it right! I tip my hat to all if you, keep doing what you do!

I am appaled at the event that transpired at this clinic today. I called at 9 in the morning to see if they could see my puppy because he had BLOOD coming out of his EAR CANAL. Upon arriving there around 930-10 (I live 30 min away from this clinic) they measured his temperature and took his heart rate. They said he was fine and we should wait in the car for 2 hours. At this point they specifically stated there was one patient in front of us. We waited. And waited. And waited and eventually called the hospital to see how much longer since it had been close to 4 hours. It was 2 pm when I called to see what's going on because it seemed they forgot about us. I understand that you can be busy and short staffed but it doesn't take much to make a phone call and keep your patients updated. The staff did a poor job at explaining their policies and procedures (if they had any at all- because everything was up in the air and there was never a sense of organization) We arrived 11 minutes after they called and when going in they said we had lost our spot and that there were 10!!! Patients in front of us?!?!? Who all had "emergencies" we had been moved to the bottom of the list?? How does this happen?? Because we arrived 11 minutes late? No one said this would happen so we thought we could go to petco and give our little guy a treat for being a trooper for waiting in the car for 3 flipping hours. This was a clear message that they did not deem the situation as an emergency and my dog would be seen anytime soon. My boyfriend and I left shocked and heartbroken with our 1 1/2 year puppy still in pain. The vets here hate their jobs and there is no sense of customer service. They were mad that we were mad we had been moved to the bottom of the list for a reason unkown. They couldn't even pretend to be the least bit empathetic and we were seen as inconvenience to them.
