The front desk staff needs to work on their professionalism. Especially, when money is being charged every visit. There should be no reason why receipts are getting mixed up and more. I work in admissions and couldn’t imagine myself mixing up patient’s information. Overall, the vet is not an issue but his staff. Do better.

Dr. Luckow diagnosed my 14 year old female dog with diabetes. He took blood work and urine and right away put her insulin shots. That visit cost me $400. which I paid with a credit card. He said I should come back the next day so he could teach me how to administer the shots to her. So I did. That visit was over $300. which I did not have so I was put on a credit plan. Soon after giving my dog insulin shots twice a day, 12 hours in between with no food allowed as I was told by Dr. luckow. My poor dog was starving. She now developed cataracts on both her eyes, they were completely white. My dog was now blind. I took her back to Dr. Luckow and he told me that happened because of the diabetes. Also, he revealed to me that her pancreas was completely destroyed because of the diabetes. I said if her pancreas was destroyed what was the purpose of giving her insulin shots. He said that they could possibly help her. This visit was also over $300. which they put on the credit plan. When I got home I was very upset because I felt that Dr. Luckow was keeping my dog on insulin so he could keep me paying him money which I did not have. I am a Senior citizen living on disability. I felt so bad for my poor dog because she was really suffering. Instead of him telling me the truth that she had diabetes and that her pancreas was destroyed, I would have just put her down to keep her from suffering. So I just made an appointment with another Veternarian and had her put down, ending her suffering.

I have known Doctor Luckow since our first family cat back in 1975. He's a staple in the Kingsbridge/Riverdale/Marble Hill area and well trusted. He's my crazy cat (Monk) doctor now, 46 years later. Keeps my cat calm and at ease throughout the entire visit and the staff are a pleasure as well.

Dr. Luckow is very patient & knowledgeable. The staff makes going to the vet with our 2 cats manageable.

Phenomenal veterinarian, great facility. Our dog has been going to him for years.

I don't usually write reviews but, I had to for this animal hospital. I called to make an appointment for my dog concerning about his health issue. And, the receptionist was really rude over the phone. She was very aggressive and cold. It wasn't a pleasant experience while I'm looking to get an appointment for my dog's health issue. I didn't even get the appointment because she said I should go back to the vet I had. when I said I called you because they didn't have an available spot. then, she said "yeah!" with a sarcastic tone. I would not go to this animal hospital.

I have been taking my dogs to Dr.Luckow now for over 10 years . I will continue to take my dogs and future pets to Dr. Luckow, he is amazing he cares about your pets he is always there to answer your questions and concerns and his prices are fair. His staff is great , his family is great and I can't say enough great things about him. He is the best. ❤️

Dr Luchow and his staff took care of our first dog for 16 years and our current 2 for a year and half. Very knowledgeable and accessible. He believes in educating his patients’ owners so that the owner is in the best position to take care of their pets. His staff is first rate. They go out of their way to be helpful. I highly recommend this practice.

So first off I never ever give reviews, feedback, surveys etc but today July 21,2021 I could not believe how I was treated over the phone. Customer service is definitely poorly practiced, no assistance what so ever then rudely says "I'll see if I can send those papers later but I can't now" like word for word it wasn't exact due to the back and forth and constant repeating I can't stay on the phone long I have other people to attend to, basically the receptionist energy over the phone basically meant I'm busy and I can't help you, when all I ask as a customer is to be treated fairly and respected, Then I immediately went to the clinic and of course attitudes changes except that I noticed that there was a young caucasian female that works at the front desk rolling her eyes and still tried being rude and yes I did defend my rights as a animal owner patient, a paying customer that she shouldn't speak to people like that over the phone. Overalll I know I wrote a lot AND AGAIN I NEEEEEEVER DO THIS BUT THIS ANIMAL CLINIC IS NOT THE ONE BELIEVE MEEE AND IF YOUR THERE STILL THINKING OF GOING GOOOOOOOOD LUUUUCK

To start off, Dr Luckow is an excellent Vet, but unfortunately the people who work in the office are defensive and rude if they make a mistake and you point it out. This is after a couple of years of dealing with frustrations at this point. I took my dog to get a shot, had an appointment, showed up on time. 20 minutes after being asked to wait I call again to find out they 'squeezed in' another appointment 15 minutes before mine. After another 25 minutes I'm finally in, which is when they tell me it's only been 12 days since the previous shot, so it's too soon. Keep in mind the Dr discussed with me when to come back and gave me the date so I scheduled this appointment on the day of my previous visit. To find that out after waiting for nearly an hour and not receiving any apologies, is very disrespectful! This is not the first time we've experienced the disorganization there. During the snow storm the office called to say they need to cancel the appointment and will call back to reschedule. I asked to schedule it then and she said the only available appointments are too far away so it's better if she calls me after they reopen to schedule it for sooner. Of course I never got a phone call and when I called to reschedule they only had availability 2 weeks away. Just the disregard for patients time and overall unapologetic attitude about everything is the reason we are never going back.

Dr. Lucknow is an excellent and caring vet. He is very knowledgeable and explains everything in detail. He won't run a lot of unnecessary tests. Dr. Lucknow is the best.

This is my second attempt at scheduling an appointment and the first time i was turned away and had to go to the humane society. Now that I am trying to schedule another appointment she will not even let me. These are very difficult times and they should have more understanding when we are trying to take care of our pets. Get a new gate keeper!. So disappointed with the customer service.

Dr. Luckow is possibly one of the most caring vets I have ever had the pleasure interacting with. He is the ultimate professional he's compassionate, selfless and absolutely loves the pets he attents. Dr. Luckow has been taking care of my doggie Ling-Ling for many years and I consider myself lucky to have him take care of my dog. The entire staff at the Broadway Animal Hospital deserve awards for how they take care of and handle each and every pet that walks into the clinic.
