Last week I adopted a young orange tabby cat named Kurt, He is doing terrific and is a nice addition to the family.

Great people who care about the animals and help you with adoption. Well managed!

The place was crowded during the weekend but the staffs were so nice. They tried to spend time with everyone. If they were too busy, they would apologize. They treat the animals gently. The staffs gave food and water to the animals slowly. We finally adopted Mae and June. With all the paperwork needed to be done, we stayed way past the closing hour but the staffs were nice and helped us get it done. Thank you all for your valuable time. Mae and June are doing great.

Great shelter! Amazing staff and volunteers! All the animals are incredibly well taken care of and loved! I was very impressed by how clean the whole facility is, it did not smell like a kennel.

We were looking to Adopt a kitten. We had a wonderful experience. The process was quick. Friendly staff. We adopted Dasher January 9th and couldn't be happier. I've called in a few occasions to have been greeted on the other end by a friendly staff members that is always willing to answer my questions. Thank you All!!

My wife and I visited Somerset Regional Animal Shelter in hopes to adopt a dog to join our family. We checked out their website ahead of time, so we had a particular dog in mind. We filled out the application, e-mailed it to the shelter, then were contacted to make an appointment. When we arrived, we met with Linda who was super helpful! She brought the dog out, and we chatted while walking the dog. We ended up adopting the dog on the spot, and couldn't be happier. Thanks so much to SRAS and Linda for making the experience a memorable one.

We recently fostered two kittens from SRAS and then adopted them. The staff was really kind and helpful through they whole process. They were gracious in letting us keep the things we used for fostering, and even insisted on giving us extra food and toys once we adopted the kittens. Thank you so much!

Great place. Low pressure high quality staff. This shelter obviously cared about the animals and the people that visit. I've never had a bad trip here in my time looking for the right new member of my furfamily. Other shelters have been high pressure "selling" animals or made me feel like I was a bad person for their animals. Somerset let me take my time and gave me space to visit different animals during my visit AND gave me alone time with them to see how we could interact. They even sent me home with toys, some things with her scent & lots of food to help her adjust to her new home.(after I found the right furbaby there) Lots of respect and thanks to the great people that work here. Only wish that it could be bigger so that they could help more animals/people. I plan on donating in the future (& they welcome donated items with a smile and true gratitude. Seen first hand)

Great friendly staff and volunteers. They do their best with what they have... it's amazing to see their passion and commitment show up in caring for abandoned ones.

They take care of there critters. Loving, Friendly in need of donation. Unfortunely all shelters are in need. I was dropping off blankets when a young man was walking an old dog. This old dog was adopted from somerset reg. The owners returned this old dog with cancer bk to somerset reg. Reginal shelter took this old sick pup back. There giving him love and long walks during his final days ❤️

I cannot stress how much of an ANGEL Dan is. Today he came to my house and rescued an adult squirrel who wasn't doing very well. Dan was super patient and gentle with the capture. I've never in my life seen a capture go so smoothly. I may be emotional, but this brought tears to my eyes. Dan seems like he was born to be around animals. You can tell he has the utmost respect for all creatures. After the capture, and the squirrel was safely in the crate, Dan explained what would happen next and even told me that I could call tomorrow for an update! It truly warms my heart to know there are good people out there who love all animals as much as I do. Thank you so very much Dan and Somerset Regional Animal Shelter. Friendly, caring staff. They took me on a full tour and explained how they worked as well as how the adoptions worked. The animals are all in good shape, and the staff spends a lot of time socializing the future pets. And they made me feel like a superstar when I dropped off a load of food for them (we had just lost one of our elderly cats and no longer needed the special food.)

Awesome people and clean facility

Adopted a cat . They were very careful with covid-19 procedures . He was brought outside to us in a carrier. They explained everything well.

Volunteer staff is fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the animals. Would highly recommend this shelter.

Had a wonderful experience adopting or little girl. Facility was clean and staff extremely helpful. Gave info on wonderful resources in the area for training/ boarding ect. and made sure she came home with all her favorite toys and bed ????

Puppies and kitties, dogs and cats! All seemed healthy and well taken care of. Looking for forever homes though.
