Forced to bring my cat here, Because my vet would not see him in case he was blocked. I thought it would be a decent experience as we were triaged quickly and he was brought back very quickly to see if he was blocked. Brought right back out to me, they said the vet didn’t think he was blocked, but I had to stay and wait to be seen still. Absolutely worst attitude by front desk staff Priscilla. here for 2 hours already, attempt at getting an update and she acted as if I was bothering her. Her attempt to explain things to me was this statement “we operate like a human emergency room” I’ve never had such a cold experience in a human emergency room. In response to the generic pandemic reply from NSV: Your reply does not handle how awful your front desk staff treated me and other pet parents last night. I’m in the human medical field and even during our times of stress me and my nurses and staff remain empathetic and sympathetic to our clients

Don't bring your dog here unless you are putting them down. Hospital has terrible customer service. I sat in the waiting room from 2:30- to 6pm with no answer as to when my dog would be looked at. They took a dog ahead of mine to get Stitches removed and kept telling me it could be another hour. I finally left at 6 pm when the we vet in lakewood opened up. Horrible horrible hospital with rude front desk staff. Never coming here again. They will push you off and keep pushing you off as new patients come in

AMAZING! Very clean, front desk staff was very nice. The techs and vets were all so calming but had an urgent way of treating my 14 year old's emergency. I couldn't thank them enough for all they have done for us Saturday.

Every single staff person was professional, kind and courteous. That sounds sorta cheesy, but it's what counts when you are a nervous wreck about your pet. I fully appreciated their feedback and help from the initial phone call to the check out. 5/5 would go back, but hopefully won't have to. Note: It's a walk in Emergency Clinic. So, you may have to wait, but c'mon it's the reality of the situation. They genuinely care about their patients and it showed.

My dog was bleeding from a ruptured dangling skin on his neck. This office made us wait 2 hours and saw other dogs that weren’t as urgent before us. I went in and they told me that I would have to wait another 2 hours. This is certainly not an emergency hospital only if you regularly go there. The people were not very professional either.

Had a last minute emergency with one of my dogs. He had a small growth of some sort of growth on his paw that wouldn’t stop bleeding. They were able to do what was needed to help him out. I called around 9pm and they said come right in, even though they were very busy. Staff was awesome, would definitely recommend this place.

My dog passed away suddenly at 10:45 on a Sunday night. Totally heartbroken when I called and asked to bring him in and the only response we received was "we close at 11". Explained he was a Great Dane and it would take a few minutes to get him in the car and was told "be here by 11". No compassion whatsoever. I understand it was close to closing but the lack of any compassion or even civility was shocking! I would never, ever recommend !

Worse experience ever. Extremely rude and overcharge for everything. Even they method of which they take phone calls is unhelpful. I would never bring my dog back to this place or the one in Robbinsville

Our beloved dog passed away while we were on vacation. We took her remains to NorthStar Vets. I have never seen a more caring facility. They were extremely kind and comforting to our family. We received a beautiful card along with an impression of Bailey's paw print. Thank you NorthStar for helping us say goodbye to our Bailey in such a loving way.

The vet at Northstar VETS was amazing. She instantly knew what was wrong with our puppy and treated her quickly. We were in and out in 15 minutes. The entire staff was amazing. I will always use them in the future.

When I had to put my wonderful cat Skippy down the were living and compassionate. I was able to spend time with him prior to the shot and hold him while the administered the shot and went to sleep. Very very compassionate and I highly recommend them.

I called, explained the situation, they said to bring my dog in. She was seen right away by a tech and we were in a room within 30 minutes. The doctor was great. I was given different options for treatment. Diagnose made sense. There may be a lot of 1-2 star reviews, but I had a 5 star experience/treatment as did my pup. We have been to the Northstar in Robbinsville over the years and always had a good experience. The Brick North Star lived up to the same reputation.

Terrible service. Went to the Brick location worried about my dog who was peeing almost black with blood. Waited 4 hours to be seen waiting outside with my dog. Saw one of the doctors with a nurse walk by going for an hour and a half lunch, even took time to go to a sporting goods store while 10 dogs were waiting for ER attention. ER BS. They barely looked at my dog and gave her antibiotics. 4 hours and 300 dollars later we are still not sure what's wrong with her because they have to test the urine. Don't go here if you can help it. Very disappointing.

Brought my dog here twice for emergencies. The staff is always well aware about how the owner feels and will always ensure them that thee pet will be at its finest care, additionally, they describe specifically the medical issue the pet has, which personally as a owner makes me always feel better. There staff is always on high alert and will always rush out to further help and aid your pet. Best pet hospital I have been too!

Worst experience ever, don’t even think they recall anyone sitting there. No one has a clue, waited over 2 hours with no one in waiting room, definitely not a hospital I would never recommend to anybody! The people working the front desk have no idea what is even going on not really sure what kind of businesses this is.

I just had my pitbull put to sleep there, there only complaints I had were they don't tell u all the prices, until my dog was getting ready to go done,I was told was 149.00, it was almost 400.00 before I left. They didnt say anything about the meds they gave her for that. I assumed its was 149.00 all included. And we asked for a print of HER. and what I got today was just a card, with a generic paw pic on the from. That's not my dogs paw print! That what got my upset. It was about 1,000.000 total. Just make sure u ask for all fees and the print.not happy

I was visiting the Manchester Township area when my almost one-year-old dog, a cooker spaniel, got sick, lost his appetite, and developed severe and debilitating diarrhea. I called multiple veterinarians, and as most of them would not take new patients or attend emergencies. A few of them recommended me the NorthStar VETS Hospital in Brick Township in NJ. I called, they told me to show up, no appointment needed, and if I could complete their form online, which I did in a blink, and I headed there. The hospital can be easily found. Google Maps gets it easily. They have plenty of parking, and their sign is visible and identifiable. Because of COVID, only one person can enter with any pet. The place is clean, a large reception area and the administrative staff is prompt to greet you and ask for what brought you today. Checking is fast; you are directed to the waiting area, where a nurse will come to see you and assess your pet in a few minutes. The initial diagnosis is obtained, and you are instructed to wait for the doctor to see your pet. It took us about 20 min before the doctor called us in. Once that happened, we were directed to an office where a veterinarian doctor completed the assessment and diagnosis. She offered the treatment and obtained my consent. It did not seem that my dog had an infection but a serious gastrointestinal reaction in my dog's case. We agree to getting a digestive medication and applying IV to my dog, something that he needed urgently. I waited about 20 minutes for the doctor to call us in. The doctor conducted other assessments and finally took my dog to an authorized employee-only area where he received his IV. About 40 min after, my dog came back guided by a nurse and looking good. The checkout process was fast, the costs were reasonable, in our case, $270 for the anti-diarrhea medication, hydration IV, service, and administrative expenses. Again, I found the cost reasonable. Thank goodness my dog started to feel better 8-10 hours after starting his medication. I was pleasantly surprised by receiving a follow-up call and email from the hospital. That is above and beyond. A few more details about my visit for your knowledge: PROS: - Easy to find, 24-hour service, well equipped, well-staffed, well maintained, clean, well-organized. - Prompt attention, very good diagnosis. - Staff treat people and pets with respect. This is the utmost important detail I noticed. - Their prices are reasonable. - Staff and doctors conduct themselves very professionally. CONS: - I suggest the hospital provide treatment costs when meeting with the pet owners. This may have been skipped in my case. Timely disclosing service and costs will allow pet owners to properly assess and respond to the financial responsibilities of any treatment once completed. RECOMMENDATION: Highly recommended, by all means, when your pet's health is at risk, this is a reputable, professional, well-organized hospital that will respond to your emergency needs.

Our "emergency" visit took 4 hours. I even called ahead to be sure they could accommodate us at that time, otherwise I would have brought my cat to another hospital. Absolutely outrageous.

This vet was recommended to us when our poor eight year-old pup hurt her leg. There was a long wait but they gave my pup a pain killing shot while they were waiting so she wasn't yelping in pain. The waiting did take a while but not as much time as I expected. We left there and she was already feeling better and is on the road to full recovery. Overall good service and will come again if it happens.

Called this emergency vet hospital hoping to speak to a vet to ask a question regarding my pet. The girl who answered the phone had no issue advising me of the price for the visit but was not allowed to speak with a vet or anyone who could answer my question. If this is the type of service received they never have to worry about me nor would I refer anyone to go here. Thankfully Jersey Shore Emergency Hospital on Rt 70 was open the vet was eager to answer any questions regarding my co cerna and displayed excellent customer service a empathy to my situation. Maybe Northstar should take notes from the real professionals. If I could give Northstar zero stars I would!!!

My 12 year old dog is suffering from various health conditions. The medications he has been on has caused an awful skin condition which we could not get under control. We called all the area Hospitals with dermatologists on staff and none were able to get our dog an appointment for months. Finally we called Northstar and they got him in in less then a week. Everyone was so professional and efficient. Dr Griffeth was so knowledgeable, diagnosed our dog immediately and gave us a clear plan to hopefully help his condition. We are very grateful to Dr Griffeth and NorthStar for their help with our dog.

I can’t thank you enough for helping my little Jax after he consumed something toxic. He was in serious trouble but the staff at NorthStar attended to him immediately while I was frantically having a meltdown. Today Jax is happy and healthy thanks to your quick assistance.
