I am so grateful how the Drs take their time and fully explain everything. The staff is so friendly and everyone is amazing. You feel like family when you come here!

Maybe try them after the pandemic. I got to my appointment early, checked in, Then 15 mins after the appointment time, had to call again to get seen. They came out, took my dog in, called to charge my cc $400, then gave my dog back. No call from the doctor, no apology for being late, no explanation about how my dog is doing.

I have just started with this clinic. All of the staff were responsive, and Denisha and Dr. Gustavson took great care of my dog Amato on this first visit, giving him two shots and eyedrops, holding him firmly on the table. I am glad to have joined this animal hospital!

Essex Animal Hospital is great. Not only is the service excellent and efficient but the staff is extremely friendly as well. I love that they love there jobs whole heartedly because it makes for a pleasurable experience. My dog hates the doctor but by time she realizes what’s happening we’re walking out the door.

I bring both my cats here and the best recommendation is the reaction of my cats! They are always calm, never struggle or resist any of the doctors snd even rub against them to be scratched behind the ears! If your animal likes them you are in good hands.

The People at Essex Animal are the best. They will ALWAYS have your pets health first! Dr. Ann, Dr G, Patti and the whole staff will always take the best of care for your pet! Love you Guys & Shiloh says woof!

Wonderful and caring staff who treat your pets as if they were their own. Cannot recommend this place enough!

My husband and I used to bring our boy Bubba here when we lived in Bloomfield. He was 8 weeks old, 9 lbs. when we first got him and he just loooved coming here. We boarded him here many times due to his cherry eye. At other doggie daycare places we’d pick him up and his eyes were always scratched out and I’d be so upset. At Essex we’d hand him off and one second later he forgot all about us! He cheerfully walked in and the staff would allow him to walk around and play behind the desk. Not sure they remember us (Bubba is almost 6 now) but we remember you!

Essex Animal hospital is a great office. I’ve been bringing my pet here for care and annual visits for years. The doctors and office staff are all caring people. The office is always very clean. The doctors always address & answer any of my concerns. They have provided excellent care for my cat. I thank all of them for their continued assistance and care of my cat through the years. I recently had to say goodbye to my kitty Francis and I did it via an at home vet. I was offered the option of picking his ashes up from my regular vet. I had requested Essex Animal Hospital. They don't hold ashes (totally understandable) and did not do his end of life care, but regardless I received the sweetest hand signed sympathy card from the staff there. That was really above and beyond, and so kind.

This family business takes the time to listen, care, and communicate. They become an extended part of your pet's family. I trust them with my dog & value how they care for her. Dr. "Gus" (Gustafson) is gentle & very good with my dog Brooklyn. The team members in the office are friendly & take the time to acknowledge your pet AND you. Office manager Patty knows how to make anyone feel at home & comfortable. Her customer service skills are amazing. Thank you, Essex Animal Hospital, for being awesome. I'll continue to bring g my pets to you for years to come.

The staff was great and Dr. Dolin was very helpful & thorough.

This place is a JOKE. Apparently they have a policy where you have to confirm the appointment that you yourself make ????. Or else they cancel your appointment that very day. Which I didn’t know as a new client because they never TOLD me. They did this after toying with my calendar for 2 months. First they said the one out of 3 vets in the office had a family emergency and would be gone and they didn’t know how long he’d be gone. And they wouldn’t have another appointment available with the other vets for over a month because they were going to be on vacation. The day of my appointment comes and I moved heaven and earth as a single working person to make the time to take my pet in and they canceled because I never confirmed. Even though I never expressed any desire to cancel....horrible waste of time.

Staff is always friendly and accommodating

I took my dog here for the first time and it was a pleasant experience. The vet tech, office staff, and doctors were very caring and considerate. The doctor actually took his time to talk to me about my dog's health and it was helpful. I will definitely return.

I’ve been taking my 3 year old Goldendoodle, Alfred, to Essex Animal Hospital since he was about a year old. I absolutely love the staff here, especially Patty (who loves to spoil my guy with treats!) Dr. Dolin is a wonderful vet who takes a lot of time to answer any questions you have, and gives you confidence that your pet is in good hands. We just had a visit today, and even in a pandemic world where you need to wait outside to social distance, the dr still takes his time to clearly explain everything over the phone with you before proceeding with the appointment. Can’t say enough good things about them!

Love the service here. Quick pick up of my poor Brooklyn's medicine. Folks are great, but not looking forward to scratching as we make her take it!

Awesome organized thanks Essex Animal Hospital

You make an appointment, drive up, call the vet number, tell them which parking spot you are in and they eill come out to your car and get your animal. When dine, they will bring your animal back to your car. Couldn't be any easier!

They always take such great care of my pets.

Are dogs have now passed???? But they were taken very good care of at Essex.
