We were referred by Salem Animal Hospital - unfortunately our 13 year old Lab had to be put to sleep. We were treated with the outmost care. The Vet technicians came into the room and our dog was treated to a meal of donuts, chips and little chocolates for his last meal. The treatment we received was beyond professional. Highly recommend.

I wanted to share my recent experience with Rockingham Vet. When I brought my dog in for medical attention on Christmas Eve the doctor was amazing, but unfortunately I can not say the same for the admitting nurse. She was more worried about the payment process and estimate versus the well being of my dog. My dog wasn’t treated until they had payment in full. After only one day of stay I had to bring my dog to another hospital to get other treatment that they were not able to complete. Thankfully this hospital was worried more about my dog than the payment. Totally different experience.

My senior dog unfortunately quickly declined with a sickness and my flat very was closed. I had to put my dog down and they made the experience as smooth and easy as it could be. It was also a nice surprise to get a handmade card that a school age child drew a picture as a away for them to express their sympathy. It was unexpected and very much appreciated. They were extremely professional and helped me very quickly which really helped me cope with a very difficult situation. I would definitely return if I ever have another pet emergency.

If I could give them zero stars I would. Refused to help me fix my cat who had a urinary blockage during Covid simply because I did g have 3500 up front. They basically are the reason my cat died considering it took me 24 hours to even find another vet that would take him in since everyone is so short staffed!

Walking in the door to put my 14 year old pit was the most horrific thing I’ve had to do. The drs, the front desk, the staff were all so kind and genuine. You could tell they were sad for our guy too. We filled out all the paper work, paid our bill, and we were able to go snuggle and cuddle and spoil him for almost an hour.. so his last memories were him being doted on.it was nice to be driving home knowing I never had to do that ever again.. until the next time a furbaby steals my heart, just to crush it ❤️???? they’re all worth it too.

We took our dog in Sunday night who was having pains in his side and had stopped eating and drinking. He had been showing signs of having a UTI so we asked them specifically to test for that so we could get him on antibiotics. After blood work, x-rays, and keeping him overnight to monitor him the best they could guess was "bad gas." 1800$ later they gave us some muscle relaxers to ease his pain which only further dampened his appetite. We called two days later after seeing no improvement and they said "yeah we tested him for a UTI but I don't see his results let us call you back." Hours later they called and admitted they did not test him for a UTI and would have to charge us more for that. We're at another emergency vet in another town now that his infection has had time to get worse to the point of him panting heavily and shaking uncontrollably, where they are certain he has an infection and needs to be treated immediately. I'll never go back here. What a joke. Their incompetence nearly killed my dog.

Thank you to Dr. Eric Franson and Team. From my initial phone call to the decision to come in to have my dog seen you all made me feel comfortable with asking questions, offered guidance, and provided a good experience in a stressful situation. I appreciate your caring and honesty and will definitely come back if ever needed.

This was our first emergency vet experience and I cannot say enough good things about the staff and this animal hospital. My poor pup had a badly hurt knee, and everyone within a 30 mile radius couldn’t get us in for 12+ hours. Rockingham said it would be a 4 hour wait so we decided to go with them. We were triaged immediately by the nurse, got X-rays shortly after, and within another 30-40 minutes I saw the doctor and had a diagnosis, pain meds on board, along with a treatment plan and recommendations. Everybody was so kind and compassionate both towards our dog as well as me, as I had to be alone due to COVID-19 restrictions. I absolutely would recommend to any pet parent!

They were extremely professional and friendly! The stress of not knowing what was wrong and how much the cost was were quickly relieved. The veterinarian Dr. K Patti discussed treatment options and the costs of each after examining my pet, and talked about the pros and cons—while remaining upbeat and speaking to you genuinely. If I have another immediate issue, I will be going back! The little bag with the animal heart logo to hold medications was also cute on the way out.

I called around 5 different emergency vets today and all were too busy or had up to 8 hr. waits. REVH was able to see my cat after a very short wait for a blockage. Friendly, informative, and caring. Dr. Eric Franson was very kind, didn’t seem rushed and was very informative, answering all my questions. I highly recommend him. I would definitely use them again. Thanks!

Awful Awful Awful place. All they care is MONEY. Impersonal crew from the reception all way to the Drs.

Yesterday I brought my 18 year old cat in as we suspected it was his time. The staff and the Dr. (I forget her name due to my state) were incredibly professional and patient with us the whole time. They made sure he passed peacefully and I cannot thank them enough for it. Thank you all for what you do.

I had my first experience with REVH on Saturday after frantically reaching out to my vet for hours for an ER visit. As a healthcare worker I am completely understanding of most establishments being at capacity especially during a pandemic. I want to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Eric, Tamara and Sam for their caring nature and compassion on one of my most traumatic and life altering visits I have ever experienced with one of my animals. Dr. Eric made me feel validated with my decision making. He was caring and compassionate. I am forever grateful for the staff at REVH, even if my outcome was to put my sweet cat LuLu to sleep. In a world right now where people are not so kind, I think it's important for you all to know you made a significant difference that night and I would like to thank you again for caring for my sweet (maybe a little bit nasty) girl.

I brought my dog here the other day because we were nervous about him vomiting and staggering. Rockingham Emergency Vet was amazing! The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. I was stressing out and every person I spoke to was calm and knowledgeable. Sirius was a bit nervous at first and has a history of snapping at the vet techs. He didn’t snap once and was so excited to meet everyone in the back! I am floored because my current vet office makes him come in on medications and will muzzle him, mind you he’s a little chihuahua. REVH staff took the time to build a little rapport with Sirius and he was a whole different pup. The vet was able to make a diagnosis and even explained everything throughly to me about the diagnosis! REVH made me really question who I see for my typical vet because of how positive this experience was. Thank you to all the staff for making Sirius and I feel so comfortable and safe!

Recently I had a medical emergency with one of my cats, my overall experience was not the best, I had Dr. Morris and from the first moment she just seemed annoyed, would roll her eyes whenever you asked a question. She just doesn't make you feel at ease. Patients are stressed the last thing they need is an attitude from a doctor who we are trusting our animal with. Also, whenever I asked a technician about my cats health or a general question they could never give me any answers. Overall I would not recommend this hospital. Do your research reviews don't lie.

We had to put our 20 year old cat down today. They made sure we could get in right away. And the staff was very caring and nice to us. We gratefully appreciate this.

I contacted REVC regarding an urgent care issue I was having with my dog. The receptionist was very polite and accommodating and told us to come right along. We arrived within 20 minutes, and called from the parking lot as instructed. I was put on a brief hold and then told to meet the tech at the door. The tech brought us right into a room. She was very friendly, polite, and professional. She was also completely understanding of my worry and concerns. The tech was able to exam my dogs injured paw and was able to get the bleeding to finally stop. Her calm yet spunky demeanor was helpful in keeping my dog relaxed through the whole ordeal. The tech cleaned and wrapped the paw and sent us on our way. I was so thankful for her kindness and her help that I could have hugged her! I am disappointed that I had forgotten the techs name by the time I got home. She was absolutely wonderful and deserves so much praise. This was my second time using REVC, the first visit was with my cat who was suffering from a urinary blockage. I was just as satisfied with the wonderful doctors and staff for the treatment and care we received at this visit as well. I highly recommend Rockingham Emergency Vet to anyone in need of emergency care for their pet!

We brought our cat here for euthanasia when our usual vet couldn't take him for a few days. He wasn't doing well and we preferred to spare him further pain and suffering. The appt. was quick, everything was taken care of up front and we were allowed as much time as we needed. They were as respectful as could be during such a difficult time. Their care was appreciated.

I work in a veterinary clinic and send clients here all the time. Yesterday I came here myself with my golden, ellie. They were absolutely wonderful. Got me in right away. Gave my girl so much love, and she loved them right back. I would reccomend this place to absolutely everyone.

I am so thankful for the staff at REVH! I brought my dog in for an x-ray, I was able to get right in, no 6 hour wait like other emergency clinics in the area. My dog was x-rayed and examined and the staff took the time to explain his condition to me and answer all my questions. They are quick, efficient, knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. Highly recommend!!

Many other emergency hospitals declined to see our dog because of high load. Rockingham’s vets took us within an hour after the call. All tests were done within an hour. They promptly shared the findings with our vet. Price tag is high and comparable with Angell and Mass Referral, but this is emergency hospital with high quality of care. Some people complained in reviews about Pay Before the Service policy, but honestly, it became a standard in COVID time — you should not blame Rockingham for this. Last but not least: they do care about pets.

We brought our cat to this location as he was dying. They took him in and discovered he had a stroke. We had to make a quick decision of what to do. They told me he was in a lot of pain I said ok can I decide after whether cremation or bring him home so my kids can say bye yes but we need payment. Continued to allow my cat to suffer so payment went through. I signed a paper for paw print. I call Today and ask about it well unfortunately we don’t have any laying around without a name if you want to dig him up and bring him back we can do it. Are you kidding me. But don’t worry you got your payment off that same page I signed for paw print. Your compassion and caring is horrendous. You are in the wrong business. Don’t bring your pets here.

Care more about the money than the well being of your animal and your emotions. Telling us our pet is in pain then immediately asking about payment options and not doing anything until they get that figured out. All while we are just waiting to say goodbye for the LAST time so our pet isn’t suffering anymore. Also to add on that it’s $160 to walk into the place and that’s not including anything else. Highly don’t recommend bringing your pet to this establishment.

The most horrible experience I have ever had with an Vet hospital. They were non stop asking for the payment, even though my families cat was dieing. Very unprofessional and clearly doesn’t care for the families that come in. Also we had signed off for a paw print of our cat and SHOCKER they didn’t get the paw print. This place is terrible I do not recommend anyone bringing there animals here.

Can't say enough good things about Dr. Franson and Nurse Caitlin, and Denise who answered the phone and handled my initials calls. Everyone I came in contact with were caring, compassionate, so patient. The final cost came nowhere near the estimate proposed. Dr. Franson suggested taking a stepped approach meaning check X first and if it's not that, go to the next step and so on. An unreputable office may have taken advantage of that, Rockingham Emerg. Vet. Hosp. did not! Oh and by the way, unfortunately this was not the first time I have used Rockingham Emerg. Vet. Hospital, the care and compassion was the same then as it was now. So glad they are there when they are needed!
