I could not be more happy with MVER, no matter how my situation ended. I brought my boxer, Gunner, in on 12/28 because he had randomly started having seizures that day and they were happening every 30 minutes - an hour. The receptionist (or tech) who answered the phone was so nice and so calm even though I was already a mess, once we arrived they got him into the facility quickly, and it took maybe 15 minutes to hear from the vet the first time. Once more information was found I heard from the vet immediately, sadly this news was that my boy needed to be euthanized, but she was so caring with her information. Once I arrived back, the tech came and opened the door for me, she was so so very kind, she walked me through everything and reassured me many times that I was able to take as much time as I needed with each step of the process before/during/after. Once I was ready the vet came in to administer the dose and once again, was so caring and walked me through everything slowly and with kindness and once he was gone she made it clear that I was welcome to stay with him as long as I’d like. All of that to say, on the worst night of my life so far, everyone made it was easy and seamless as possible.

I recently moved to the area. When my dog started having an issue I tried calling local vets to make an appointment. I was told by a few they weren't taking any new patients at all and other vets didn't have an available appointment for a new patient for a while. The emergency vet in Meredith was wonderful! I'm so glad they were able to help my dog so that my dog didn't have to suffer longer waiting for an available appointment Update: 12/28/21 My dog ended up having an ongoing issue and we had to bring her to the ER again a few weeks later when her new regular vet was out of town and the other vet in the office wouldn't call me back. I was able to call the emergency vet a few times in between and they remembered my dog and were so nice and helpful! They really cared and wanted to make sure my dog got the help she needed. The whole team at the ER are wonderful!

Had to take a family dog there tonight because every other Vet in town is booking at the least 3 months out so someone recommended them virses Caves they were through, kind, seemed very knowledgeable and kept me updated every step of the way on every aspect of his care. Personally I thought they were phonominal. Thank you so much for taking me on such shot notice and for all you do to help all our furry friends. ????❤

I cannot express our gratitude enough!!! We brought our lifeless dog on Labor day and I'm so glad we did!!! Although tests didn't show much, besides inflammation, the vet was 95% sure it was a tick bite, causing our dog so much pain and a very high fever. Our own vet misdiagnosed her but she knew and took us right in! They were kind, caring, professional, knowledgeable and not as expensive as I had thought. They literally saved her life! She said in 24 to 36 hours she'd feel better and 24 hours on the dot she perked up and 28 hours later she's almost her old(young) self again!! We are eternally grateful to the entire staff who were understaffed and probably exhausted! I am beyond thrilled! Especially since CAVES wouldn't take her! Appreciation doesn’t even describe the feelings we have for them seeing our Grace come back to life. If you're reading this, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!♥️

We brought our dog there after he tore his surgery stitches out while we were on vacation. They were kind, quick, efficient, informative, thorough, and just completely amazing. Our pup is in good shape now, healing well. I highly recommend this practice.

I've had two experiences with Meredith ER vet and both were great. Once I called because my dog was having a seizure and I was a terrified mess, and the woman on the other end really calmed me, helped me through it, and was very kind. And again I brought my other dog in for an infection and they got him in quickly, the process was very simple without excessive paperwork. They were very kind and helpful both times and I couldnt recommend them more. Maybe a tiny bit pricier than some places, but you get the service you pay for!

This was a very positive experience. Dr. Flag and the receptionist were both very efficient, compassionate, and calm. The price for an emergency visit was much lower than I have ever paid. Thank you for being so wonderful and reaffirming to nervous pet parents!

We brought our cat, Molly , there for treatment. She is 16 years old and had stopped eating. She was evaluated and diagnosed. We began treatment and after a day she began eating again. Today she is back to her old self. The staff and Dr Dunn were great. Very professional and caring. Thank you!

We have been here on three occasions with three different animals- 2 of our dogs and a bunny. The staff is responsive, caring and gave our babies extraordinary care. I would give 10 stars if I could.

Can't say enough good things about the team here. We've brought our dog in twice in the past five months and found them to be professional, efficient, knowledgeable and incredibly kind. They were extremely clear in their communication of the issues with our dog and we knew he was in very good hands. Highly recommend.

Meredith Place Vet ER has always been a place I feel totally confident in bringing my pets. The doctors are always very attentive to my dogs and take every detail of their health into consideration when diagnosing. The techs are very thoughtful as well and understanding of worries about your pets. I would and will continue to recommend this hospital to anyone who needs help with their pets!

UPDATE! Owner error. I want to retract my original poor review to, I am happy to report Basil is healed and doing much better thanks to the wonderful doctors and vet techs at MVER. My apologies for going temporarily off the deep end, no excuse but I was a very nervous fur mommy. with trust and persistence my Basil boy is healed and happily playing with his catnip toys. I would recommend this emergency vet to anyone in need of services. thank you MVER!

Highly recommend MVER! Had to bring in my 15 year old Dachshund after she had a seizure at home. I called first upon arrival and Michelle at the front desk was so nice and welcoming! I was in a serious state of distress while calling and she was so sweet and comforting to me. I arrived at 12am and they quickly took my baby in. Dr. Dunn did the exam quickly and called me right after. She was very kind, explained everything to me thoroughly and asked me if I had any questions at all afterwards. They treated my baby appropriately and took very good care of her. This was my first time ever needing to go to an emergency hospital but it was a very pleasant experience and it made me so happy how accommodating and nice everyone was. I highly recommend! Thank you so much ladies!

Our 3 yr old lab mix dog got into it with a porcupine for the first time at 830pm at night-quills all in her mouth and on her snout.. We called meredith place vet and rushed over (about an hr drive) and they took her right away. They took great care of our pup, keeping us informed. Our pup came out looking/acting like nothing ever happened to her- we were shocked. They truly did a great job and we are so thankful. They even followed up with us a few days later to see how she was doing. Very professional experience.

A big thank you to Dr. Flagg, Jacqui, Lindsey, and all the other staff we interacted with this week! Our pup experienced some troubling symptoms and they thoroughly evaluated him for possible issues (a fickle Berner with GI trouble). As we are new to the area, we heavily researched our options for help and are very grateful to have MVER nearby. We also appreciate their COVID protocols in place. (Side note - while waiting we witness a critical emergency patient coming in, and my goodness - the grace and skill their staff showed is so reassuring!) Tycho sends many kisses of gratitude, thanks MVER!

I was disappointed with this vet. My dog had an acute seizure on Sunday and this was the closest vet that was open. This was his first seizure and both he and I were very nervous. We got there and they took him in after about 20 minutes. He is an ESA support k9 and typically very friendly I’ve never seen him growl at anything. They stated he was being aggressive, which from my experience is a common effect during the postictal stage of seizures. They seemed annoyed at this which made me feel very sad for my terrified dog. The vet had called me from inside and told me his exam was fine and that from what I stated she doesn’t think he had a seizure because seizures can only happen when a dog is unconscious. I got my bachelors in pre-veterinary medicine and I’ve worked at several vet hospitals and I know what she stated is far from the truth. I got the bill and left. I noticed I was only charged for a physical exam after I stated at the beginning I wanted bloodwork done. From there I rushed him to Westford emergency where they did a complete blood count, general profile, and checked electrolytes. Westford vet also stated that Meredith definitely should have run bloodwork. I’m hoping that the covid protocol is just throwing them off there game and that they aren’t like this all the time but from some other reviews I read I’m not too sure. I do not trust their care and I will not be coming back here.

Brought my dog in after he ate multiple things he shouldn’t have.. he was brought right in by a cheerful tech who kept us updated at all times. The visit was quick and the staff was amazing! Thank you, MVER, for helping my pup in his time of need!

The team at Meredith Place Veterinary Emergency Hospital is truly fantastic! We have visited this location on multiple occasions and each time we've been impressed by the level of attention and care received. The Vets are knowledgeable and, no matter the time of day or night, they take the time to make sure you fully understand your pet's condition and the most appropriate treatment plans available. I appreciate the level of communication displayed and their transparency with respect to price. Overall, they are a well equipped facility and provide exceptional care. I highly recommend!

Last night my 3 year old lab Zeke had his first seizure. I called this place right away when I saw him unconscious. I felt super safe leaving my dog with them. At first I was so nervous not able to go in with him but when I saw one of the workers that gave us the paperwork I knew he would be in good hands. The Doctor called me right away and explained what she is going to do. She knew my husband and I were super nervous. She allowed us to talk as if we were in the room with her, she was super informational. I am so blessed and lucky that I was close enough to the hospital.

Do NOT take your pet here! I’ve had two extremely expensive experiences here where my first dog was misdiagnosed with an eye issue (and we were charged a fortune) luckily Plymouth Animal Hospital corrected the issue and our second dog had a simple ear infection and was given a medication that prolonged the issue instead of nipping it in the bud (again, PAH corrected the issue). I have nothing positive to say about this place. Expect to get charged a fortune with little positive outcome. My advice, WAIT and see your regular vet.

This past Sunday my husband and I had to bring our 13 week old puppy as she would not stop vomiting. This was our first experience with MVER and it was a positive one. They assisted us very quickly and were transparent with the costs. I was told exactly how much an x-ray was going to cost without even having to ask. I really appreciated this as there weren't any surprises on our bill. Each staff member we talked to was friendly and clearly passionate in what they do. They did their best to ease our worries. Later that night at 1 AM, she was having more complications, so we called to see what we should do and again were provided with exceptional service. We did not have to bring her back into the clinic thankfully, but the woman we spoke to over the phone (I wish I remembered her name) answered all our questions and once again, put our worries at ease. I am very thankful for our experience as the first visit to the emergency clinic with your new pup is already stressful enough as is. Hopefully another situation like this doesn't arise again, but if it does, she will only be going to this emergency clinic in the future.

My family and I were camping when my 4 year old boxer collapsed at our feet. (He had collapsed a week prior and when we brought him to Nashua Animal Hospital we were told he had a seizure but his lungs and heart sounded great.) We called …

I took my cat here about a year and a half ago. She had a very minor seizure, I took her there because it was the closest place that was open. The vet took bloodwork and then told me that there was nothing they could do, it just happens sometimes. I paid over $500 for that visit. They didn’t care about my cat, they just wanted our money. Just found out my sisters cat had a seizure and took her to a different emergency vet, she was only charged $99 for the exact same visit. They make their money off of worried pet owners. Crooks.

I highly suggest going to a different veterinary emergency room. I took my cat there for a blockage. They took xrays and everything was fine. I sat in the exam room for 3 1/2 hours waiting for my cat to pee but he never did. Every time the doctor came in to check on us, he kept pushing surgery that would cost over $2,000!!! My cat has not left my side since I got him as a baby and now he’s 4. The doctor didn’t care about my cat or my financial needs. He just wanted my money, I definitely don’t trust them or would allow my cat to be operated on there.
