Had to take my cat here last night. He was yelping and in a lot of pain. It was like a whole building full of Betty White's! Everyone was so sweet and kind. The vet and technicians were very informative. My Sammy is doing great and I am so thankful for such a good experience even during a stressful time.

I came home to a limping cat, and quickly called the Veterinary Emergency Center of Manchester. The woman on the phone walked me through some quick criteria, and while I was welcomed to come in, was advised it could probably wait until the next morning (especially with very long wait times at that particular moment). When we woke up the next morning the leg seemed to have gotten worse, so we headed in. We were seen relatively quickly, and truly I have never met a more compassionate and thorough veterinarian. Dr. Kevin is an excellent vet, clearly cares deeply about his patients, and took me through a step-by-step explanation of my cat's (also Kevin!) injury. The tech who walked me through discharge instructions was very clear, and overall the visit cost much less than I was anticipating for emergency services. I cannot recommend this facility enough!

No emphaty at all and poor customer service skills starting by “supervisor” Audrey. Her team are bunch of pretty much snubs teenagers with no customers service skills at all. My dog was really sick and I called to get her in whoever answer said “well be prepared to wait LONG LONG TIME” I asked like how many hours just because this is an emergency her answer “idk “ I asked what do you mean like all day her answer “YUP” when I brought up that to her sup she was like that is what we told her to say …. No wondering ….they have bad customer service. Her team leader has no skills at all … although they have really good doctors , Its a shame the bad presentation and poor quality of employee they have at front desk. I decided to go to ROCKINGHAM EMERGENCY WOW what a difference. Really PROFESSIONAL and it was not all about MONEY . Oh btw if you tell them you would do a review… the sup freaks out threats you and start screaming like she is on her period. Next time handled yourself on a professional manner. To listen a customer it’s a quality… you should practice it so maybe maybe you don’t freak out next time.

I had to bring my Wheaten Willow in for a foreign body surgery last night (New Years Eve) I called a few hours before my arrival and when I did arrive, Willow was able to been seen right away, x-rays taken, and surgery scheduled. I received a call as I was told I would when her surgery was completed. She is home with me again resting comfortably. I am so grateful to everyone at VECM. Thank you for taking great care of my heart!

I have gone to them when they were in a previous location. Always had the best care for all of my pets. 1st time here was when we had to put down my dog late at night (she was in her old age and was not holding down food or water). 2nd time was because of a porcupine incident(mom's dog decided to have some fun with a porcupine and had quilt all around his muzzle and bleeding profusely) 3rd time to help my dog pass(same dog for the porcupine incident in his old age) 4th time was because my cat had a seizure and had to let her go. She was so young but had health problems. 5th time was my mom's dog who slipped and fell on ice same dog on the 6th time who injured her leg again playing with my dog(she is still with us and in her senior years) 7th time with my dog who got into a whole sheet of cake during the day, I monitored him and at night and had to take him in. He is perfectly fine since then, still with us and is 4years old. Always had been an emergency clinic and always super helpful and always been respectful. Each time I have gone their with my pets they have been wonderful. Sometimes the wait can be long, other times it was an in and out (cases listed above is kind of obvious). I will ALWAYS have trust in them helping me care for my animals. I am so thankful that they were open late at night for my cat (4th time) and for my dog (7th time). The reason how I remember these times I was there is because it is always so scary taking your pets to a vet in a crisis, but for how my pets where cared for and how passionate they are in helping animals, they handled it professionally and quickly. Each time, they have been wonderful, and always handled with care.

We recently lost our 11 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Gatsby. When he was failing we brought him to Manchester Veterinary Emergency Center. We went early in yet morning (1am) and had to wait an incredibly long time (until about 4) before being seen because he was deemed to be stable enough to wait and there were several emergencies before us. The young woman working that night was a bit brash initially (all business in a situation that’s highly emotional for owners) but eventually warmed up. It was clear she was serious about her job and for that I am grateful. After they took him back he stayed overnight. I will say, when I saw the doctor he was so wonderful, warm, and kind. He made me feel as though Gatsby was in great hands. He informed me his colleague taking over during the following day of Gatsby’s stay would be in touch and spoke very highly of him. When the vet the next day called and gave us the news about Gatsby (which was a diagnosis that it was time to say goodbye) he was incredibly kind, intelligent, caring, and empathetic. He spent a great deal of time on the phone with my husband and I and just couldn’t have been more wonderful. He helped us come to a decision to bring Gatsby home temporarily (medicated and comfortable) before we were able to have a service come out that week at our home to let him go in the comfort of his own home. It’s such a heartbreaking process but the doctors and staff at Manchester Veterinary Emergency Hospital were wonderful and we would highly recommend them. ????

Worst emergency vet, hands down. I brought my dog here in July 2021 because his own vet diagnosed him with diabetes and he was in diabetic ketoacidosis, a life threatening illness. My vet called the clinic because my dog had to be admitted and spoke to Dr. Tiffany Major who told us to bring our dog there ASAP, which we did. Once we got there they told me my dog was not diabetic and said my vet didn't know what she was talking about but they didn't know what was wrong so they took x-rays and did bloodwork(to the tune of $2000)and said that he had a urinary tract infection and sent us home with antibiotics. That was on a Saturday morning. By Tuesday my dog's symptoms had become MUCH worse so I took him back to his regular vet and they CONFIRMED he was INDEED diabetic and still in DKA and they weren't sure if he was going to make it because he went 3 more days without treatment, plus he definitely did NOT have a UTI. My vet in turn called a different clinic in Concord that took him in right away and confirmed his diagnosis of diabetes. The Dr at the new clinic could not imagine how Dr Major got it wrong and he was LIVID that she misdiagnosed my dog and almost killed him. My dog had to stay in the new clinic for FOUR days and it was touch and go for the first three. In the end my dog survived with lots of intervention and he is now on insulin twice a day. My dog's four day stay in the other clinic cost me $12,000, yes, TWELVE THOUSAND DOLLARS. If Dr Major had done her job, my dog would never had become so sick and he most likely would have only had to spend a few hours on an IV drip instead of spending four days in the ICU. I wouldn't bring my animals to this clinic if they were the only place in the country. Just HORRIBLE!!! Dr Tiffany Major should not have a license to practice and she owes my vet an apology for saying she was "crazy" to tell me my dog was diabetic. Pathetic.

TERRIBLE… $140 dollars for 2 minute consultation for 2lb kitten after waiting 7.5hrs, with no care or consideration provided. Double charged for over the counter meds. Brought my kitten to get a physical and antibiotics for a respiratory infection. After waiting 7.5hrs… They took her vitals, felt her, looked at her for about 60 seconds maximum and prescribed 3 medications without barely looking at her. They did not check her ears, her mouth, her paws/nails, or give her any care. They barely looked for flees and didn’t offer treatment and cannot do vaccinations. When they gave her the medication they didn’t properly hold the cat like a professional would and the medicine went everywhere. The medicine we paid for didn’t even get administered, instead waisted. She didn’t think to replace it either. We got there at 11am, were not seen until 6:15pm and left at 6:30pm (7.5hrs). We tried to explain that we waited 7hrs (at that point was not treated as an emergency) Just to be seen for 60 seconds providing a rushed/missed exam and they still charged the emergency and exam fee. They did nothing. They could have seen us in the first minute we were there and given us the same exact rushed treatment and prescription we and they already knew she needed since they barely looked at her and it took no time at all anyway. They also double charged for a ointment you can get over the counter for half the price.

I would never recommend this place to anybody.I brought my dog in Sat after calling to say I was coming in.I waited 6 hours and was not seen by then.My dog was panting and shivering I knew something was wrong or I would have not brought him there in the first place. After 6 hours I had to leave I started crying in the middle of the waiting room I was so upset.Saw many dogs go in and come out in less than an hour.I took my dog home.I called the next morning and explained my situation. The woman on the phone was so rude to me I just started looking up other places.Thank God I did.My dog had emergency spinal surgery yesterday.I guess that was not severe enough for them.

Really prompt service and extraordinarily kind staff. They were very reassuring and explained everything twice over for us. Wish they weren't just an emergency clinic, as everyone we interacted with on the whole team were super resourceful and comforting, especially in a stressful situation. Couldn't recommend more highly.

I took my senior cat, knowing I was going to have to let him go. I have never been there before, but I am so glad that's where we ended up. The entire staff was so kind and respectful from the initial phone call until the very end. We were in a private, non-clinical room, (more like a living room) which calmed my little guy as well as me.

Under staffed, waiting 3+ hours. Edit because of rude reply from "owner": i never said whether or not i came in for an emergency and having ONE doctor working = UNDERSTAFFED

On October 18th I took my puppy in around 2:40 PM because he was hacking and coughing and just wasn't himself. They had informed me that he might have 'Kennel Cough' so for precautions they wanted him and I to wait outside. That day it was about 55 degrees, and we had waited until 6:40ish PM just for a nurse to check his vitals and look at him. Then a few moments later another nurse came to check his weight and temperature and was not showing any compassion to him so in result he was very scared. Finally, the actual doctor came! She was trying to check my pup but he whined out of fear when she would touch his joints. Before I go on, my puppy is very playful and active. I take him on 3 walks a day and to the dog park every weekend etc. The veterinarian without any evidence had informed me that he has a disease called 'Hypertrophic Osteodystrophy (HOD)', a rare bone disease that affects growth in larger dogs. I was very much astonished and well confused, she had asked if I wanted to do X-Rays and I said of course. About maybe half an hour later, they come back wit my dog saying he has HOD. However, they did not show me evidence, the X-Ray, or even explain how is coughing and hacking is related to his bone growth. I am no doctor or veterinarian myself, but how does the upper-respiratory system affect my dogs ability to move his legs? After seeing many veterinarians about HOD and how it will affect my puppy, they were unable to find any sign of HOD. They also prescribed pain medicine for my pup, when I gave it to him he had a reaction: his eyes were puffy, stomach had a rash, snout was puffy, his ears were puffy, and he could barely move. I had contacted the Veterinary Emergency Center in Manchester as to why he is having this reaction and they weren't sure and just advised me to give him Benadryl. I never make reviews about any of the places I go to, but the Veterinary Emergency of Manchester let me down and my puppy down. No communication and seemed to be no effort or companionship. I advise you not to take your pet to his place unless you would rather pay a $500 medical expense with false diagnosis

Still waiting for my dog to be seen after she has been vomiting, loose stool and disoriented. Not an emergency I guess, been waiting 3 1/2 hours.

Knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. The tech on the phone was great and got feedback from the vet while I was on the line. They gave me easy to follow instructions to try at home, with guidelines and a set timeline to know if an on-site visit would be needed. They saved both my dog and I from an even more stressful night. These folks are the best in the area to turn to when things don't go as planned.

The staff and doctors were absolutely wonderful when I had to bring in my cat to be put down. I was given a private room with a couch to spend time with him before the procedure. Everyone was extremely kind and compassionate and afterwards I was sent a beautiful sympathy card..

We went with our 11yr old Maltipoo, Tater at 9:30pm. I filled out the documents and was told someone would be with us. A woman came over, we explained Tater has been sick with loose stools. Vomiting and he was not eating, therefore we couldn't get his meds into him. She did a quick listen to his heart and took his temp. Then stated " He is stable, our vet is in emergency surgery and it will be several hours before Tater is seen. She suggested we bring him to his vet in the morning. So we brought him back to our place. Tater died before morning.????????

... Still waiting to be seen after an hour and 15 minutes. It's because it's early in the morning and only have 1 Vet on during night hours. Although they've been accommodating

Very caring team! I brought my cat Boots, who I have had since I was a teenager, in to the office a week or so ago. He was barely breathing. They took him in to triage immediately upon getting there. He unfortunately was passing, and my only request was that it be made as quick and painless as possible for him. Dr. Kevin did just that and was very calm, patient, and understanding with me (I was an absolute wreck) during the process. I was given as long as I needed to say goodbye to Boots in one of their private rooms as well. Also, I was sent a personally signed card by Dr. Kevin and Jordan expressing their condolences during this very difficult time. The cremation office that they work with (Final Gift) is also fantastic, I wrote them a review as well.

Our worst nightmare happened a few days ago to our beloved 2-yr old pup Piper. Dr. Phil and the staff at VECM did everything they could and their compassion and care was remarkable during this difficult ordeal. I wish we could thank each of them personally. While it was not the outcome we wanted, we are still very thankful for the fact that she was in the best place possible. Thank you for all you do day in and out to help the animals (and their humans) in their most difficult moments of life.

Literally impossible to find a more caring & loving team. I've unfortunately needed their services for emergencies twice now and I can't begin to explain how kind they are. I pass about 25 vets and animal hospitals in my way to them each time. During these emergency situations my nerves are already shot. No other animal hospitals that I've been to are this loving.

Make sure your animal is in visible distress before coming here & be prepared to wait; To the staff: ACUTE RENAL FAILURE IS DISTRESS. I did my due diligence and read the reviews before calling ahead to see if they could help my 8 year old Norwich Terrier (Milo). I was told that yes they could see my Dog, and if I filled out the online registration before arriving it would be quicker when I arrived. I was never told of LONG wait times, or animals in visible distress being seen first. I arrived within half an hour of speaking to them, and was told to take a seat, I would be assessed and it would be determined if my Dog was an emergency or not. After a short wait the tech listened to my explanation of what was transpiring listened to his heart, and determined he was not in distress. Keep in mind my dog had vomited on their floor, as well as had diarrhea on me while we were being assessed. I was not told how LONG the wait would be, just that Emergencies were seen first. So I sat and waited. I waited for 5 hours before asking how much longer and if my dog could be reevaluated. It took another hour to be reevaluated and again I was told he was not in distress that there were at least 2 people ahead of me not including emergencies that may come in. It would be AT LEAST another hour before the possibility of a vet to evaluate Milo, run bloodwork and take it from there (unless there was another emergency). It was 10pm at this point, and after being told Milo wasn’t in distress, I made the difficult decision to go home, and at least make Milo comfortable till I could get him to my vet in the morning. I waited almost 7 hours at Veterinary Emergency Center of Manchester and received little care. After a visit to my usual vet, it was discovered that Milo had acute renal failure possibly brought on by leptospirosis. RENAL FAILURE IS DISTRESS AND IF YOU HAD RUN BLOODWORK WHEN I ARRIVED YOU WOULD HAVE DISCOVERED IT. Milo was euthanized a few days later after CAVE in Concord did everything possible to save his life. I will always regret having waited those long hours, and know I made Milo suffer more than he needed to. CHANGE your assessment practices, it may save someone’s beloved pet.

Went in for an emergency call at night for my cat Lillith, knowing she was old and fearing the worst. The wait was extensive even though it seemed like there weren't many patients, even though I felt my need was urgent, there were other pets who needed care and who could be helped, the triage was correct as her time had come. Dr. Crowley was knowledgeable and professional and the nurses were compassionate. The staffing is short, as it is everywhere these days, but they did the best they could.

My dog had a minor accident this morning which wasn’t life threatening, but needed attention. From start to finish, every one of the staff members I interacted with were kind and helpful and efficient, in particular Jennifer in triage and Stephanie in reception. We waited a while, but there were plenty of other much more emergent cases that rightfully were given priority. If I am ever unlucky enough to have the pet who is rushed straight back, I’m glad that this hospital will be there for us.

The vets and technicians took excellent care of our cat who was suffering from seizures and other health problems. We were able to bring her home and enjoy several more weeks with her before she became too ill. When it was time to make the big decision, the vet who examined our cat was very kind and understanding, and provided us with the information we needed. The procedure to say goodbye to our kitty was handled so beautifully with kindness and care for our kitty and for us. We are grateful to everyone involved, including the administrative staff.

We recently had to say goodbye to our beloved boxer Forrest and the entire staff at the clinic showed so much care and compassion during the process. Although it's never easy to say goodbye to a special pet, the staff helped make the experience one of caring, compassion and dignity. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you.

My dog Apple had a bot fly. Called my vet who told me I need it taken care of right away but they couldn’t see us and basically told me good luck. I knew the emergency vet was going to be busy and overwhelmed. Was told when we walked in the wait is unknown and maybe waiting well into the night. Which I already assumed. We were seen a lot quicker than expected, they took great care of my little dog and removed that demon bot fly. As over whelmed and busy as they are here everyone was smiling and stayed professional! Everyone doing the best they can with a smile on their face.
