I brought my cat in and everything went super smoothly and everyone was very nice. I received a text checking in the next day which I really appreciated.

The receptionists were fine but had a negative experience with the doctor . She is totally uninterested in helping you figure out what is wrong with the animal . Had to call many time then finally someone else told what was going with the doctor. Then to make matter worse , we were given an open bottle of medication that made our dog very sick ! …..

I boarded both of my puppies here 4th of July weekend and they were so well taken care of while I was gone! Would definitely use them again- thanks to all the staff!

The girls that answered the phones were very pleasant. They made me feel great about coming in. My appt. was a very negative experience and was unable to accomplish what I needed.

Honestly, this is such a great place to bring your dogs. They are personable, professional and flexible! I would recommend this vet to anyone!

Edit: I have reached out to the owner and a lot of these issues seem to have been resolved! I appreciate the outreach from the owner and a readiness to solve issues. I've taken my animals here for 13 years. After Russell sold the business to VCA I decided to continue giving them a chance because I had used VCA in the past with other pets. This last time I brought in my animals I was very displeased with everything. Everyone was curt and rude, and i really didn't like the accusatory tone in the vets voice. I declined procedures that they decided to do anyway and charge me for. It was a very bad experience. I will be taking my animals elsewhere from now on. There are great doctors here. Kule is amazing with cats, I have no complaint with her. But everyone else i really don't care for their "bedside manner".

Overall the people here are nice and do good work, especially during emergencies. But the pricing for routine care is the drawback and truly unaffordable. We scheduled dental cleanings for both of our cats and a few weeks beforehand we received a cost estimate in the mail. I'm glad we did, because the estimate for a teeth cleaning for both was upwards of $2500. This is a routine, outpatient procedure so I cannot imagine why it costs so much here. We called to cancel and there was an "okay" - no offer to work with us on cost.

I had one issue here and Dr. Heitz was absolutely wonderful in resolving it. Their staff is very friendly and the place is always very clean!

My review is only of Dr Brill at Russell animal hospital. She could only keep recommending expensive tests that I later found out were completely unnecessary, and rather than working with me to take care of my sick cat, she just insisted I should return her to the shelter where I got her so she could get proper care! She was so sick when I got her from that shelter!!! I finally ended up bringing my cat to a rescue that deals with cats with medical issues. I consider a vet that tells you to get rid of your pet rather than work with you to get them treated the height of unprofessionalism.

I am so grateful to have found this vet for our dogs! Our senior dog, Max became very Ill quickly and had a lump near his tail. I called 10 different vets trying to get him in with no luck :( covid had closed our regular vet for 2 weeks and I knew we couldn't wait. Russell vca got us right in. We waited in our car during his visit, but the Doctor came out to discuss her findings (which sadly was not good news) after our visit they continue to check in on our beloved pet. We are very grateful. Thank you VCA!

Very overpriced and unreasonable. It is all about money with them not care for the animal. I called to get my dogs flea and tick medication and was told they would not sell it to me because it was just "less than a year" since his last exam and theyalso refused to clip his nails for this reason! I will be taking my dog elsewhere.

What a great place. We have used Russell as our veterinarian for many years. Their staff is knowledgeable and caring. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a vet.

We had to put our dog down during the quarantine and they went above and beyond for us. They made special accommodations so my son and I could be there together. Thank You.

Got my pup in for an emergency appointment and most likely saved her from losing her eye. Best of yet, they texted me numerous days after to check up on her. Absolutely wonderful service!

Way better than CAVES. Quick and friendly service, got my appointment in next day. The vet and assistants were all helpful and caring. Overall the best vet experience in Concord.

My dog actually gets EXCITED to come here. All the staff members are super friendly and great with animals. They are my go-to spot for boarding when I travel because I know he'll be safe and happy.

Service is great and on point. Prices for boarding are fair, vet services prices seem a touch much but certainly reasonable. I'll continue using for the great service and care.
