My wife and I have been bringing our Cavalier Spaniel “Lyla” to the Bedford Animal Hospital since she was born nine years ago. During those years, whenever we needed to bring Lyla over for any reason, I was always impressed with each of the doctors’ immediate familiarity with both Lyla’s background of specific conditions and past treatments, etc., as well as with the peculiarities of her particular breed. I always felt that she was getting the best possible care, which also includes the care provided by the clerical and assistant staff, who always have a welcoming, patient, and concerned attitude despite how busy they might be. Since we used to board our dog there over vacation times, we’re also hoping that circumstances will allow for the resumption of that service as well. In any event, we give Bedford Animal Hospital our highest recommendation.

We’ve been taking dogs to the Bedford Animal Hospital for approximately for 40 years and have consistently experienced excellent quality, professionalism, and reasonable rates. It is obvious the staff truly cares and loves the animals they treat.

My bud has not received any bad care from these folks but their processes need work. Granted, this has been during “COVID times” as they say. I’ve had my corgi for 7 months, all of his vaccinations and a neuter with these guys and I’ve been allowed in the building exactly one time. I get it, but also I don’t. It is a giant hassle trying to accomplish everything over the phone in the parking lot with the “card number, wait was that a 5 or 7, can we start over…” etc etc etc. A quick in and out for heart worm prevention turns into a 30 minute ordeal. The last straw was recently, when they declined to fulfill the order for heart worm prevention through Chewy.com out of concern for his weight change (despite him being within ~5lbs at every recent visit and the dosages being given on a (xyz lb to zyx lb scale) ????. If I can’t interact with the people taking care of my pup to walk in and out and buy the monthly dose in a 3 minute visit vs. spending 30 minutes on the phone in the parking lot repeating my credit card information, the least they could do is make mail order and easy process and now that is a no-go as well. It’s easier to get into my medical office and interact with a human than it as the vet. For these reasons, I’ve chosen to take my business elsewhere.

My dog Maggie has been a Patient at Bedford Animal Hospital for 15 years. She recently got very sick, and even with the Vet shortage, and being booked out for weeks, I called them, and they told me to bring her in that day. They were very compassionate, of both Maggie and my family. The outcome was not good, but I truly appreciate the way cared about my beautiful baby.

Dr Sofield is an awesome DR. We moved away from the area and have gone to other Vets but were not as happy. We decided to drive all the way back to him for a second opinion. We got the best complete diagnosis for our older dog and he is ALWAYS very thorough. Our dog also likes and trusts him because of his great demeanour. Thank You very much Bill!

I am very happy with the medical care, grooming, and boarding services that my dog has received from Bedford Animal Hospital since I adopted him in 2013. The doctors and vet assistants provide high quality, professional care and do a good job answering my questions. My dog actually likes going to the vet because everyone is so friendly and caring!

Dr. Scofield and his entire team have treated my dogs for over 15 years. I have noting but positive things to say about this amazing team. They are kind, considerate, up-front, caring, knowledgeable and so professional. They love my dogs like I love them. I would highly recommend!!!

Dr. Scofield and the crew at Bedford Animal Hospital have always been nothing and I mean NOTHING! But, the BEST to me and Fiona (and Jake my previous pup). He (they) have always taken good care of my dogs and never tried to over sell me on something. Even when I wanted something that I thought could help. Dr. Scofield talked me out of it because it wasn't needed. With the pandemic they still have a good system in place to see all their patients and talk to us! This place is the best!

As directed, called when I arrived because of covid19 I was not allowed in but they immediately responded and came to get my dog for her check up. The Dr. Called me shortly after and informed me of the details of her visit and asked me of my concerns. All went well and they walked her back out to my car. Well done!!

The Bedford Animal Hospital has provided animal health care to our four dogs for 35 years. During examinations, they identified 3 life threatening conditions in two of our pets and took immediate action which saved both of there lives (one twice). I don't think one could find diagnosticians and care givers anywhere than those professional at Bedford Animal Hospital, Bedford, NH USA. Richard & Sandra Tessier

I wouldn’t go any where else! My parents used to take our animals here when I was growing up; now, I have been taking my own animals here over the years. The staff is friendly, patient and extremely helpful with any questions one may have. When I recently brought my 2 year old husky mix in for her 6 month f/u visit, she was extremely scared and unsure; especially in today’s world with people wearing masks; but, the vet tech game out to the car was very gentle with her and took her inside for her visit. She was extremely patient, gentle and caring with her. The visit was over in no time with positive feedback of how my dog did while inside. I would recommend Bedford Animal Hospital to anyone I know.

Got appointment same day. Very thorough explanation from vet about the situation. Was reasonable on cost. Treatment was very effective. What else do you want?

Have been using BAH for over 20 years. The last few years my experiences were not the greatest. Matter of fact if it wasn’t for their location I would have changed. But after this past visit on 1/23/20 I feel the old BAH is back. Look forward once again using their services.

Paisly has been a client at BAH since we brought her home in 2019. ALL are compassionate and take time to listen to the furry parents. She is in excellent health—many thanks to the caring team and MD. At BAH. Her groomer, Bonnie, is amazing. Paisly seems excited to see her. Paisly has a stubborn personality and Bonnie manages to groom her. I have recommended BAH to new furry parents and they are very happy with this veterinary service
