It's all about the animals and their parents, they treat you like family.Very comfortable when I go.The staff is outstanding!

I drive out of my way for exceptional feline care here. It's a bit pricey but the quality of care is top notch.

The vets and staff are the best....we had to put our dog down a few weeks ago , the kindness and compassion we were shown was amazing..they took such good care of our Sam his entire life...we are so grateful for their expertise and the awesome staff they employ. Jeanie Snook

This business refuses to let patrons inside supposedly due to COVID. Yet I see staff coming out of the building with no masks. I can only imagine this is being done to streamline their business operations and/or the owners have irrational fears over COVID. If you are vaccinated you have only 1 in 5,000 chance of a breakthrough infection. Every other business in town I know of lets customers in the building. I have been a customer for many years, so I don't want to find a new vet. But if this doesn't stop, I will have to.

My beloved dog presented one morning very lethargic and couldn't stand on his hind legs. I was expecting the worst. Dr. Spencer and her staff were so gentle and caring with us and our dog and were able to get him very quickly on the mend. I can't get over the respect and dignity they treated us and our beloved pet. I've been a client at Hampstead Animal Hospital for years and though we have moved a bit further away I still make the drive there. Nothing beats their professionalism, kindness, and expertise. Thank you Hampstead Animal Hospital staff and Dr's. You are all heroes.

The staff is super helpful and everyone has been especially considerate with covid. Appointments are always on time (no waiting around like the human doctors office ugh) and honestly everyone is just super pleasant. I feel like I can really trust the staff here with my beloved pets and all their needs. They even made sure to look into minor possibilities of health issues before going into surgery for one of my pets and they got back to me as soon as physically possible with the results. Highly recommend

My cat was seizing on the ground like once every ten minutes and this place wouldn’t take him and it was an emergency. We had to go all the way to Lawrence cause Hampstead wouldn’t take him. I don’t care if the worker was training or their wasn’t any appointments! My cat looked life less and we had to drive an hour away cause Hampstead which is right up the street wouldn’t take him

Since 2004 they have always done an outstanding job caring for my cat from young kitten to 18 years old. Have dealt with nearly all issues from eye infections to final days. If you can handle it, doctor would explain a treatment and show how to deal with meds or treatments at home and follow up by phone. Very accomidating...

They were highly recommend several years ago to me and I'm very happy with the staff , facility and quality of care.

Great communication. Great staff. They know what they're doing and don't take shortcuts. I take my dogs and rabbits, past and present to see them.

Nice people and nice place, just don't like the fact they don't let people inside with their pets... Not sure if this is leftover restrictions from Covid, but its over - let's get back to normal already.

I’ve been a client of Hampstead Animal Hospital for a few years now. As I sit here to write this review, I don’t even know where to begin. I’ll start by saying that I have not once had a bad experience with any of the Doctors, Techs, or any other staff—especially in situations where things become stressful, the staff is always very patient and compassionate. What I first realized about Hampstead, while speaking to the staff during a stressful situation, is that all of these people really talk to you as if they are making a decision for their own pet. There is no up-selling, nothing but genuine advice and compassion even in the most difficult times. Making treatment decisions for your pet can be especially taxing emotionally, and the cost of treatment alone can be absolutely overwhelming. Something I really like about Hampstead is that they can help you with breaking down the cost of a procedure to help you know what price range to expect. I just recently had this done for the cost of a pending tooth extraction for my pup and it made me feel much better and in control knowing what to expect. At the end of the day, the care at Hampstead Animal Hospital is top of the line and the very educated, compassionate, and understanding staff keep me coming back. It is about an hour drive from where I am and I don’t even bat an eye—for the quality of care for my dog and the compassion for the both of us, it is 1000% worth it.

The Vet tech that comforted us because of our cat being euthanized was compassionate. We needed this during this painful ordeal. The Hampstead Animal hospital is blessed to have her.

On Feb 26th we brought our gravely ill 14yr. old Pom-Chi Lexi here and it was suggested that she be euthanized and we agreed . We were asked if we wanted her to be cremated privately and her ashes kept in a nice ceramic urn we would be given . We said yes and immediately paid for it to be done . Two weeks later we were notified Lexi's remains were ready to be picked up . Upon arriving at the hospital we called to let them know we were parked out front . ( COVID rule ) and was promptly asked " did you pay for it " ? We were then told to drive to the side of the building and the box will be left on a bench for us . Still very much grief-stricken we were disgusted at their heartless , disrespectful attitude . They should have checked to verify payment was already made instead of making it an issue . Also , not having the decency to personally hand us Lexi's remains was absurd . An employee eventually did only because she saw us . When we returned home we opened the box and were devastated at what we saw . Lexi's remains were in a small plastic bag in an unlined small wooden box with a paper label stuck to it . We DID NOT recieve the " nice ceramic urn " we were told we were getting when we paid . That was not only deceitful the whole experience was unprofessional . When we called and questioned not getting an urn as promised , they had the audacity to blame it on COVID !

Very pleasant people, very competent vets. Was able to treat my dog's skin condition that other vets were not able to identify. A little pricey but not anymore than any other vet. Was willing to work with us in an emergency

We have had good experience with our dog. The Vets are great and willing to take time to explain things.

During covid, there's curbside service where your pet goes in and you remain in the car. This may seem disconcerting, but they do a good job with you and your pet.The vet will call you once he/she is done and go over everything. There's no sense of being rushed or that any question isn't important. The service and care are great. The prices are in-line with other area vets, too. I'm definitely happy with them.

Staff is awesome with my dogs. Pleasant and informative with me about my dogs health plus well being

I've been taking my cats here for 8 years now. The staff is so friendly and willing to listen to your concerns and stories, though I do try to keep mine brief (crazy cat lady talk can get carried away easily ????). They seem to be less expensive than vets we've used, and have less turnover in veterinarians because Dr. Fraysse has been taking care of my cats for majority of our time as patients here. Their procedure during the pandemic really streamlines the check in and check out process, keeping everyone safe and healthy. Keep up the great work, HAH!

Our pets love HAH! The vets and support staff are professional and take the time to be sure we are well informed after our visit. Covid protocols are excellent and have not interfered with the excellent care we receive!

This place is amazing ! I called regarding a 10 week old sick puppy not acting herself & they were able to get me in that same day. I arrived about 45 minutes early and they took her in right away. They answered all of my questions, did not rush me, were very comforting and sweet & they gave me medication to help her. Since I’m new to this they also recommend flea & tick meds & heartworm prevention for her to take monthly. I would definitely recommend this vet because they take amazing care of animals. My mother comes here all the time, she’s put down her pet here before and they made her feel as comfortable as she could have been during that time. They gave her the ashes of her pet and also a paw print. I love this place and I changed my regular vet over to this vet. Feeling very satisfied. Thank you hampstead hospital for doing such an amazing job.

Disappointed that we still can't go inside with out pets but ,rules are rules.On the other side I can't believe how wonderful the staff was.Staff was very reassuring, made multiple calls to me to keep me informed.Was my first experience and a very good one.Would highly recommend them.

I can’t say enough about Dr.Norris and the entire staff at Hampstead Animal Hospital! My dog Chloe was recently diagnosed with IBD and gastritis and it has been a tough road up until now. Dr. Norris was so professional, she took every single one of my calls, took the time to listen to my concerns and showed genuine care for my dog. Thank you to the rest of the staff for being patient with me and being so kind!!

Both or of dogs and our cat go here. Everyone is always kind and compassionate. The vets call you personally with results and make sure all of your questions are answered and they are very accommodating. The rooms and lobby are well kept and cleanliness is clearly very important.
