I had to take my little dog in for a checkup because she was coughing and hacking and coughing for almost 3 weeks with no let up .. I was full of fear thinking the worst thinking that she may have cancer. she's also a 15-year-old terrier mix. They explained everything to me step by step what they were going to do to her and made sure that I understood everything that they were doing and what they were talking about. After I spoke to the doctors my anxiety lessoned tremendously. I guess what I'm trying to say is they really care because they know that your pet is your life ..your family.. your best friend.. and it's hard to find veterinarians that have so much compassion and kindness for what you are going through with your pet. I've been to many in my years growing up and may I say I've never found one like this. I tell everybody I know about this place and to try them out for yourself and see the results you will not be disappointed.

My cat has been on-and-off having urinary issues for the past month or so. After his symptoms worsened over the weekend, I called early Monday morning and they were able to get me in right away to get him looked at. I was worried that because bookings have been extending out, he wouldn't be able to get an appointment, but they were able to see him right away, which I'm really grateful for. The whole staff and the doctors are extremely wonderful to work with, and I can't thank them enough for their professionalism and assistance. Thank you, Chelmsford Animal Hospital!

Been taking my dog here since we moved 4 years now and had a good experience until this last visit. Chelmsford Vet Hospital would rather have a customer leave their practice losing hundreds potentially thousands of dollars over 9 dollars and something cents. When I was there for my dogs annual visit, I bought some more heartgard. Which I knew the one they gave me didn’t look right. I asked in question a couple of times and was told they go by weight. They didn’t bother Looking in her chart to see what her weight has been and what she had befor. Her weight is 24.8 which is in the middle of the two different doses of boxes. Mind you in the winter my dog gains weight less walks. So the inconvenience of me going back taking 30+ minutes of my time to switch out a box of heartgard which the receptionist said to just come by and we can just switch it and apologized over the phone. Didn’t mention I had to pay more for the box she had before. I explained that the woman made it sound like over the phone that it was their mistake and to just come on by and we’ll switch it out. It is the principle. I asked that this practice would rather lose a costumer over $9. Sad! Wish I could stay to be a customer but obviously they don’t value their customers. Doing my business elsewhere:-)

My geriatric dog was introduced to Dr. Meagan Merinder.....and we could not be any happier ! Willow is petrified of Doctor's... Dr. Merinder actually got down to Willow's level on the floor. She listened intently to the problems we have been encountering and offered comparable events happen ing with one of her own elderly dogs. She really seemed very interested in getting to know Willow. We left feeling really good,,.

Very pleasant staff, they really seem enthusiastic to see your pets, waiting room is always clean. During Covid they had a great setup helping keeps folks safe. Would recommend to any pet owner.

Have been with Chelmsford Animal Hospital for years. The veterinarians are very good. Unfortunately I just had to go elsewhere as they have taken too many clients and are booked out almost 5 months for an annual exam and vaccinations. Best not to get into this office where you cannot get an annual exam for that long out. This happened without warning, I was always able to book an appointment within a few weeks max. Disappointing, it’s just mismanagement, or maybe not caring, when they can no longer offer care of long term existing clients because they took on too many. When it comes to our furry family member, I’d like to know it’s not all about the money, money, money - anyway!

So sweet my kitty that I had to put down. The Dr was very nice and explained everything that was going on with her and made my very hard decision easier to make. ????

My dog just had a cyst rupture an hour before closing. They found a way to fit her in, suggested two types of care and ultimately found the best one that works for my family. I cannot thank them enough for turning a bad situation into a manageable one.

I have been using Chelmsford Animal Hospital for a few years. As of late, they have: 1. Attempted to put a stop on my cats necessary medicated food because he hasn't been seen since his last shots. This would be fine except they said they don't have appointments for another 2 months and still wouldn't put in the food order until I called twice. 2. When I called to ask if my cat should be brought to an emergency appointment after ingesting medication, were extremely rude and transferred me to multiple receptionists who asked me the same questions without giving any answers. The answer they eventually gave directly contradicts more sound advice I got from a better vet office. Officially taking all 3 of my animals elsewhere from now on. Update: my cat ended up in the emergency animal hospital after the more competent animal hospital advised me to contact pet poison control. If I had trusted the advice given to me by Chelmsford Animal Hospital, my cat would have died. They are absolutely negligent.

Love this office, and have been bringing our pets here even before the new building (maaany years ago). I live about 40 min away, and still think it is well worth the drive!

Chelmsford Animal Hospital came highly recommended to me and they did not disappoint. Everyone here was so wonderful when I brought my pupper for his first appointment. It was a little weird, since I didn't actually get to meet the vet due to the social distancing measures, but everything was great.

The group has been very understanding with the pandemic. They call as you wait outside, take info and payment over the phone, and were very effective at social distancing while providing a service.

I worked there for about a week last summer. Most of the staff are very friendly and kind to the animals. However, I quit after reporting an incident to the office manager that went over her head. Two employees, a blonde man with glasses and a dark haired girl with a septum piercing, screamed at a beagle and mocked it saying “this is why they test on these ones”. Everyone there witnessed it. This included doctors. No one seemed to care. The manager said she’d look into it but told me that those two employees “loved animals”. I figured she’d handle the situation and fire the employees involved but looking back I wish I had reported the entire office. I’m still disgusted by their behavior.

It feels wrong to rate it five stars when my cat was sick but they did their job well and she's on the mend
