If I could give this place zero stars I would. The team was professional sure, but it was all about money. From the start they said they can not do anything until they get a deposit. I specifically said I don’t have a lot right now and we will just do what we can. Turns out my pup was not okay and needed blood work, IV fluids and needed to be hospitalized and other various tests. As previously stated I didn’t have a-lot of money. They wanted $3000 right then and there or they weren’t doing anything. Basically said they can send her back with me unconscious and not sure if she would make it overnight. Or I could surrender her. So I did what was right for her and surrendered her to get the care she needed. After losing my dog they still wanted $150 for “stabilizing” her. All they did was take her vitals. I had to give up my dog and they still wanted $150 for telling me my dog had a neurological problem. You would think there is a payment plan or some other option other then needing thousands of dollars at a moments notice. All in all this place was not about the animals. They only wanted money.

I’ve been taking my dog Vinny here for years and always had a great experience! Big shout out to the crew tonight and Dr. Halsey for seeing my brothers dog Scout last minute. Scout had been missing for days out in the country with my whole family looking. The sightings we had been told about said he was hit by a car on the highway. Finally after 3 nights wandering in the fields he was found. Dr. Halsey and crew were able to fit him in last minute when Scouts normal Vet wasn’t available. (They should keep taking him to here) So grateful that you were able to help my brother and Vinny’s “brother from another mother” Thank you!

My mom adopted a new kitty from NHS and had a wonderful checkup for her with Dr Halsey.. I was so pleased with the care she received, that today i Transferred my cat to the VCA on 64th and Center as well! Thank you to VCA and Dr. Halsey!

Of all the clinics I have taken my pets to over the years, this brand, the VCA, seems to be the most focused on money, and not pet care. They were always friendly, and competent, dont get me wrong, but that was during regular check ups. When it truly came down to it, it was: Pay us, or move on. Not in those words, of course, very professionally delivered but....that was the message behind it all the pretty words. They did not kill any of my pets, I am not writing this from grief or unfair bias. This is just what I've found after moving my pets to a new clinic that I watched move heaven and earth for a sick cat only 3 days ago. The VCA brand wouldnt have done the same

Dr Mix and Dani were amazing this morning with the dogs!!! I was super impressed with how they handled very rambunctious lab mixes. The dogs LOVE both of these employees!!!!

Care for dog was acceptable and the dog that received my dog were great...super friendly, kind, and great with my dog. There was a lot of confusion of when they were giving us my dog, and they took forever to check out with our dog.

My dog, Harley, LOVES them! It's because they show Harley a LOT of love. They said his teeth are perfect, his ears are wonderful, and his eyes are beautiful. Their care and advice are the wonderful reason why. I believe he would stay the night if they would let him. Needless to say, my wife and I LOVE VCA. : )

They are so sweet with my dog. We went there for emergency services and they were so kind. My dog can be pretty anxious but he didn't seem worried by the time I picked him up and actually made some friends ❤.

Great place, very reasonable prices. The technicians are caring and helpful. The Vets are knowledgeable and willing to cut to the chase without all the extra fluff. One of the few places my dog doesn't get anxiety about going.I recommend them.

We are going to continue to take our now 5 yr old pup to Dr Halsey as long as we are able. She does so well with him. The staff are stable and always very kind to her and us.

Dr. Mix is one of the absolute best veterinarians in Omaha. I appreciate her explaining everything that I need to know about my cat in terms I understand. Pike says "thank you to the staff!!"

Everyone at VCA is always so helpful and friendly! My dog can get very nervous and is not a fan of the vet. But Dr. Mix and the entire staff does a great job of calming her and understanding her needs. They always listen when I occasionally over-worry about my pet and give great advice. I really appreciate them and everything they do!

I was super concerned for my dog and called maybe 10 different vet clinics to see if we can get an appointment and all said they were booked for over a week and can not help. I then found another review talking about VCA Animal Medical Center and called them. They were super helpful and were able to get us an appointment within that very hour. The staff was very caring and gave clear instructions on what the issue was and how they can be fixed.

Dr. Mix was AMAZING!! brought my lab in after an injury. Was able to be seen immediately. Set costs were kinda high however she showed a lot of consideration toward financial limitations. Felt her care of my best firend was above and beyond. My lab is plus size it was mentioned with kindness and concern, without judgement. Highly recommend bringing in your fur person. Thank you VCA!

Great service and excellent covid safety precautions. They tested my dog very well here and they have competitive pricing.

Although right now they pick up the dog in the parking lot, the staff and vet were so nice and helpful especially since is our first puppy

Sadly we had to put our sweet dog down after years of complications after her surgery. Dr. Clemens was unbelievably thorough, intelligent, and helpful, but most importantly she showed as us an amazing amount of empathy and compassion that really made us feel confident in our decision. She is the best - and we are so thankful for her. She has a wonderful support staff and the VCA knows how good vet medicine should work. Worth every penny.

They are a high quality vet, great service and care. But comes at a high price. Its a good idea to do the care club if you have a puppy for they're first couple of years, which will balance your expenses out

Its to high a price for you pets to come here unless you are a doctor or lawyer.

We have had two dogs under their care for years and they’re friendly, accommodating, thorough and obviously love and care for animals. They also care for their families as well!

Thought I would be able to come in with pet with a mask, but had to sit in car. Left with unanswered questions because I felt rushed off....

I was initially very impressed with the care my dog was getting here. We saw Dr Byers and he is great. They are very expensive, but thorough. I’m less impressed now. My dog has cancer and needs a prescription refilled. Knowing that I better call ahead because of the holiday, I called yesterday morning (the 23rd) to request the refill. The doctor that saw my dog is off for several days so someone else has to approve the refill. It’s now Christmas Eve and they just called to tell me that they are too busy to have a vet look at my dogs information and call in the refill. I’m extremely disappointed. My dog doesn’t have a complicated case, she has cancer and I just want her to be comfortable. ???? I understand if they’re busy, but 2 days for a simple refill seems extreme.

Got in on a Sunday afternoon with no problem. They did a thorough exam and did not find anything that was urgent. Made an initial diagnosis, explained how to proceed, then agreed with my plan to follow up with my regular vet on Monday. They provided records and info to my vet on Monday, we developed a treatment plan. Good experience, reasonable charges for the service, excellent communication between me, the staff and the veterinarian. Would recommend!

Too expensive!!! I came in as a walk in for an emergency with my dog. The vet knew I was out there waiting to be seen. Instead, she went on LUNCH and left us sitting in the lobby for over 45 min. They charged me $510 to tell me my dog was internally bleeding from somewhere but couldn't tell me where, and told me she was actively dying and to prepare to euthanize her. They also treated her symptoms with the wrong medication! went to another vet to look her over, and she showed no signs of nothing vca said she did. My dog is perfectly fine she just caught a little bug. Shes healthy, shes back to her normal self, and I am happy with that. I definitely will not recommend. I am currently looking into getting my money back as we speak.

A wonderful place for your pets!!

I had my first experience at VCA today when I called them in a panic about my dogs allergic reaction. They were absolutely wonderful!! They were accommodating to my situation and helped us with great suggestions! as well as gave her the treatment she needed. VCA showed both my dog and I so much compassion! Definitely the best experience I have ever had at a vet. Nugget and I are new to Nebraska and we have definitely found our forever vet! Thank you VCA
