Just called this service to request information about in home euthanasia for our lovely 14 year old poodle. We we are distraught over having to make this decision, and the fact our vet only allows 2 people to be present at the time of her last breaths. We do not want any of her remains left with us , and due to this fact the awful woman talking to me said that they felt pets were worth more than that. What a terrible thing to say to a person who is trying to do the best for a family member. I will never consider this service and tell everyone that if she could be so uncaring at this time I can't imagine how unfeeling she would be ay the moment of a pets death.

There is so much to say here, so buckle up. I first found Ms. Cherie when my first service dog, my heart dog, my soulmate, Rascal, was dying. I have worked in vet clinics and the animal care industry for over a decade; I know how the remains of pets are handled by clinics, and while many workers try to give them kindness and dignity, the thought of my baby being wrapped up in a trash bag and put into a freezer made me sick. I was terrified of turning him over to anyone else, but I lived in a rental house and couldnt bury him, and it felt like I had no options. Then I found Cherie. She made sure my Rascal could pass, peacefully, in my home, in my arms, and she made sure his body was treated with kindness, dignity, and respect. She let us sit with him for over an hour when I couldnt bear to let him go, she made sure I was comfortable and taken care of every step of the way. She called to check in with me after, made sure I knew she was available anytime, she has always been so kind, so gentle, and so fearlessly open about death and loss and grief. She walked with me through the loss of my Rascal, through my struggles when I got my successor service dog, Ryder, when I lost my rat, Tom Nom, and my chinchilla, Dorian Grey. She was there for me when my husband died. Now, 4 years later, shes here with me while Im walking my 16 year old black lab, Husker, to the end. Im preparing to make an 8 hour drive with his body because there is literally no one else who does what she does, the way she does it. There is no one I trust more with my babies than her. There are no words that can accurately describe the level of gratitude and love I feel for this incredible woman who has, unflinchingly, unreservedly, faced Death with me so many times and held my hand and had my back and offered such solace. Her business is aptly named, because you are putting your loved ones paws into the hands of an angel. There is no one like her, and she is worth every single penny.

Cherie was so helpful in a tough time. I can’t thank her and the Paws to Angles team enough. A terrible thing losing a pet and they really helped me and my family. Thank you.

Having to lose a member of your family is never easy. In fact, it is the absolute worst part of being an animal lover. Our Gracie was such an important member of our family. When she was diagnosed with cancer it broke our hearts. Paws To Angels helped us through that difficult time. The kindness, love, and professionalism from the staff is incomparable. Being able to be with Gracie the entire time in our own home made the worst day a little more bearable. I cannot say thank you enough to these women. I wouldn’t have had it any other way. If you are unsure if the services are worth spending the extra money, I want to assure you I do not regret the time and comfort I was able to provide Grace during her last moments. It was invaluable.

Paws to Angels was a beautiful gift during a time of much pain. I contacted them for some information when we knew the time was nearing for one of our fur children and from the first interaction with them until the final arrangements were over, they were a true source of comfort that allowed us to grieve in the way we needed to without feeling embarrassed or ashamed. Saying goodbye to our beloved pets is never something we are ready for but working with Paws to Angels brought us so much peace because we were able to honor their life in the most beautiful way. We are and will always be grateful for our experience with Cherie and all the incredible staff who were there for us every inch and step of the way.

Paws to Angels is an amazing service that is available in Omaha. I couldnt stomach the thought of taking my Lola to the vet to put her down . I wanted her to be comfortable in her own home when this dreadful day came. Paws to Angels helped her transition in a more peaceful way for her and our family. It is nice to have them to talk to after it happens and to help guide you through the process. You are also able to see your pet again before they are cremated which really helped me because she looked so peaceful. Thanks again paws to angels, you helped me through this hard time in my life.

I don’t even know where to start. Paws to Angels Was there for us in an extremely difficult time. Neither of us had lost a pet before so we knew this would be hard. I was shocked what all their services offered. And I felt like I was talking and crying to a close friend. Someone who got it. Someone who valued their pets life as much as we did. Being able to visit my sweet girl was huge for me and brought so much comfort. They also called to check up on me many times throughout the next week. I can’t recommend them enough!! Thank you Paws to Angels!

I can't thank Paws to Angels enough. They are truly angels on earth to offer the kind of support they do for grieving pet parents. My dog Blaze passed away fairly suddenly while my husband was out of town and I was beside myself. Paws to Angels showed up to my house and handled everything. They made a truly horrible and traumatic day bearable. They followed up with phone calls and options and most importantly a visitation for both my husband and I to say a proper and peaceful goodbye. Thank you doesn't even begin to cover it!

Paws to Angels was phenomenal and worth every penny. My sweet 21 year old kitty Penelope was dying and taking her in the car was not a option for her. The paws to angels staff were so lovely and my sweet girl was at home with her family. Thank you Dr.Westerberg and staff for assuring us our decision was done with love and we did not want our girl to suffer. The staff provided many beautiful momentos to remember her by. She truly was our family kitty to all my daughters, she snuggled and loved on all three girls from small children to adulthood. Thank you Paws to Angel ???? for all your love and support. I have taken my three babies here, the last one just two weeks ago . The cost is nothing compared to the caring , compassionate people here and all they do. It is all personal for your pet and your family, including their cremation . I would not have it any other way . Thanks Cheri for all you and your team do.

My wife and I have posted many testimonials over the years but this one on Paws to Angels is the most important we have ever done. As many of you know, the heartbreak of losing your loving pet can be so devastating you are unsure exactly what to do. With many important decisions to be made, along with the emotional trauma you and your family may be experiencing, the event can be overwhelming. This was exactly the situation my wife and I were in when we lost our special dog Sadie Girl. Even though we knew her condition was not going to have a good outcome, we just could not get our bearings on what to do and who to contact for help. We did our search on the internet and were truly blessed to find Paws to Angels Pet Loss Center. The first thing we did was read every review we could find and after that it was clear to us that Ms. Cherie and her staff would be able to help us. The "Help" was so much more than we could have possibly imagined that words are so inadequate to define what they do. Along with their knowledge, compassion and professionalism, plus their heartfelt willingness to just listen was truly remarkable. If you and your family are in need of assistance in dealing or needing help with the loss of your special pet, we strongly recommend Paws to Angels. Ms. Cherie and her staff are ready to help you and it will be one of the best decisions you ever made. Lastly, my wife and I simply cannot imagine how we would have dealt with our loss without the good friends we have now made for life with Paws and Angels. Thank you for reading.

Cherie and her staff at Paws to Angels understand that our pet is a part of our family and that they deserve all love, care, respect, and dignity that we can give to our friend at the end of his life. I was so impressed at the care and compassion that Cherie and her staff show in the time she spent with me that went on during the grieving time. I still miss my Jack and I know that I have a solid and loving shoulder with Cherie, always - Thank you.

My family was recently devastated by the loss of our dog, Riley. He was only 5 years old and was diagnosed with metastatic cancer. There were no treatment options and Riley was declining really fast. It’s been a very hard time for us but it would have been so much harder without Paws to Angels. Riley got to pass away at home surrounded by his family. If Riley would have been euthanized at the vet, his last moments on Earth would have been full of anxiety and fear. Cherie was so calm and comforting to us during this experience. She made sure that we weren’t rushed making decisions and answered any questions we had. After Riley left us, Cherie took such good care of his body and treated him with the utmost respect. We got to see him the next day cleaned up, laying in a casket with his favorite toy and his ball. He looked so peaceful and sweet. Everything Paws to Angels has done for us has been executed perfectly. Every dog deserves this service at the end of his or her life. I cannot recommend this service enough. Thanks to Cherie and to all of the others at Paws to Angels, you have been a blessing to my family.

I will never recommend anyone else. The service Paws to Angels provides is loving, respectful, and unfortunately, necessary. They never put your friend in a bag. They are respected afterwards. They follow-up with you and offer support, and they truly help you through this process. It is hard to put into words, but they made a huge difference.

This is as an Amazing experience and done by Professionals. Totally caring about your other family members. Give you a Doctor who comes in and tells what is happening. Information is available to read at Veterinarians, some places. Yes, we have used them several times. Thanks, in Native American language, A'ho. I realize this is the place, I understand that our other Families are at the Rainbow Bridge. All Healthy and playing with all of our Family members and others. They might play with Rocky Road, the horse. His size is extraordinary and 17 hands, part Clydesdale. My Sheep Dog loved Rocky Love you all so much and hugs too. Treasure Jean Baker

I cannot say enough great things about PTA- wow. I called (and was sobbing on the phone) but Cherie was so loving and kind and understood the pain I was going through by having to make this phone call. They had appointments the next day- which I appreciated as to not delay my dogs pain. When they arrived at our house, Cherie explained the whole process to us so we knew exactly what to expect- the way she described it wasnt cold or harsh- her explanation brought so much comfort to our heavy hearts, and we knew after speaking with her we were making the right decision. The whole process was very peaceful and Im so grateful we called PTA to help our dog cross the rainbow bridge. I would 100% recommend them to anyone who need to use their services- they kind words, and loving hearts are such a relief during such a sad time for many.

It’s taken me a year to write this review. It’s hard to put into words how much this service, Cherie and Dr. Claude meant to me and my family. From the moment I knew I’d have to say goodbye to my sweet McCoy, Cherie was there for me. Her services came highly recommended from friends in my rescue group. Cherie and Claude came to my parents house in Lincoln and from the moment I met them in person, I felt a sense of calm. Claude even wiped my tears away and Cherie never rushed my time with McCoy after he passed. You can tell her love for animals in everything she does and says. The items and special touches, phone calls and after care for your precious family member and you, are so very much appreciated and helped more than she will ever know. My family was also very impressed and thankful. I highly recommend Cherie and Paws to Angels to everyone. This was a service I didn’t realize at the time just how much I needed and so thankful is available. God Bless you Cherie and your team. You were a source of comfort and strength to me during one of the most difficult times of my life. ❤️

We lost our precious Izzy on February 12th, 2019. This is the first time we have faced the lost of a pet. She passed away unexpectedly in our home. We have two small children who loved this puppy more than anything, and we had no idea where to turn or what to do. I remembered seeing the name Paws to Angels highly recommended on a Facebook group, so gave them a call. The owner, Cherie, answered and I could feel her love within the first minute or talking to her. She offered to come get Izzy right then if we wanted her too, or let us bring her when we were ready. She called us everyday to check in and make sure we were doing okay. When we went to visit Izzy for the last time, she looked beautiful and so peaceful. Izzy was our princess and Cherie made sure that’s how we would remember her. She had her in her princess blanket with roses and a tiara in her hair. The kids hugged and kissed her a million times and said she didn’t even look sick. Cherie sent home poems, a letter from Izzy to our family, a small stone with Izzy’s name on it to put in your pocket and hold on to when we miss her( our son loved that), a heart with Izzy’s name and paw print, and pieces of her fluffy hair with beautiful words to go with each one. She has a variety of memorial options to choose from. We chose a beautiful personalized photo blanket and a stone for the backyard. I can’t thank Cherie enough for the hugs, being so sweet to our kids, and loving Izzy as much as we did and still do. We will forever be grateful❤️

We had to make the difficult decision to say goodbye to our beloved Sophie. Cherie was so wonderful during this process. We are so thankful for her and the services she provides! It made things easier to deal with. She knows exactly what to say to comfort and help with the healing process!

I could not say enough good things about the Paws to Angels aftercare services. Losing our beloved dog was hard enough, but Cherie gave us comfort while we were grieving. We knew that our dog's body we treated with respect and Cherie checked on us multiple times. Cherie also enabled us to get the closure we needed by providing a visitation (I highly recommend this)!! I am beyond grateful for Paws to Angels!

On the 7th of January 2020 I had lost my heart when my little darling Clementine unexpectedly passed away at only 3 years old. I was completely shattered. Upon contacting the staff at Paws to Angels they immediately understood the difficulty I was going thru and assured me that they would go pick up my girl from the vet & take very good care of her. What they did for me is beyond what I can explain in words. They had prepared her so beautifully so that I could say my final goodbyes. I actually got to go up & see her on 2 separate days & was able to have other loved ones including her sister Kiki up there to say their final goodbyes also. I believe that it has been helping me tremendously in my grieving process to have giving her a proper funeral so to speak. We lit candles and read poems & discussed all the great times we had. The staff understood that she was my everything and treated her as such. They called me everyday for about a week to see how I was holding up & were caring & thoughtful. They took their time in discussing memorializing Clemi knowing how difficult everything had been for me. They wanted to make sure I wasn't overwhelmed & wanted to make sure I knew & understood all of my options. I am looking forward to go in there in the next couple of days to help design Clemi's memorial with them. They truly become your friends you can rely on during this time. I believe that if you are looking at these reviews then you must feel the same way about your pet as I do about my Clemi Baby. If so then there is no other option probably in the entire world as good as Paws to Angels. They understand better than anyone. They also offer services like pet hospice & pet loss meeting groups twice a month. I was in really bad shape after losing Clemi. Knowing how she was taken care of & treated as, and thought of as my baby girl. It makes me feel a little more at peace losing her. What they offer is truly remarkable & I wish them the world. I hope they continue to help people with pet loss for years to come. Thank you so much girls. You have helped me more than you'll ever now.

Paws to Angels truly made a difference in my life due to Cheri's true caring, kindness, attention to detail, and understanding. I was visiting family with my two wonderful Irish Wolfhounds when my Emmet, who had survived with aggressive cancer for 11 months, rapidly declined and passed away. He was a special boy and an inspiration/comfort for so many individuals. I would have done anything to help him and I wanted him to have all the respect he deserved even after his passing. I called Paws to Angels late in the evening just to schedule picking him up from the veterinary hospital, possibly the following day. Cheri picked up the phone immediately and said I will be there within 30 minutes. I was surprised since she did not know me or have any connection to Emmet. She arrived with her colleague and they both sat with my sister, Emmet, and I for over an hour just to comfort us following his passing. She gave me a small ceramic broken heart and I kept half the heart that night. She gently tied the other half around his neck, which she gave back to me after he was cremated. We elected to visit Emmet the next day. My sister and I burst into tears when we saw how beautiful and peaceful he looked. I attached a picture since my description cannot adequately describe how much care and attention was taken into making that last moment perfect. We stayed there a few hours talking, crying, and taking comfort that he was at peace. Cheri called me every day for at least 1 week just to check and see how I was doing. She provided so many sentiments and rememberances, which helped comfort my grief. I have cared for and owned many animals in my life, but Emmet was truly special and one of the most difficult losses. However, because of Cheri and all of her genuine care throughout this process, I was able to feel at peace sooner. I still miss Emmet every day, but I know he lived a truly special life. I would recommend Cheri to anyone before their pet's passing and/or afterward to help provide guidance through the difficult journey of losing your beloved furry family member, friend, and companion. There are truly no words to express my gratitude to Cheri at Paws to Angels. Tiffany Leach, DVM, DACVIM-Oncology

We had to put our 3 year old kitty down very unexpectedly. I contacted Cherie just a few hours before the appointment and she fit us into her schedule. I couldn't speak more highly of the professional services Paws to Angels provided. Counseling, comforting, never rushing us...it was what we needed. The range of services provided was exceptional as well. I would highly recommend Paws to Angels if you are in the unfortunate situation to be in need of their services.

Saying goodbye to our girl was the hardest decision we’ve had to make. Using Paws to Angels made the transition easier, knowing they, too, care for animals. The gentleness and delicacy Cherie and Dr. Woodward displayed, kept Lucy and us calm during this agonizing process. They showed so much respect while handling our girl as well. I would recommend this end-of-life service to everyone saying goodbye to their fur babies.
