Bernie Sanders loves this place. The dog watchers clearly care about him and take lots of care. Bernie comes home and passes out for hours after a day here, it is worth every penny!

My two crazy Aussie girls were in desperate need of professional grooming. I dropped the ball on getting them used to grooming from someone else other than my boyfriend and I, so I was very nervous on how they would behave or if they would feel stressed! Hailey did AMAZING, not only did she groom them beautifully, she checked in with me throughout their appointments and booked out enough time to give them extra attention incase they struggled at all. My two girls are a handful but Hailey handled their high energy like a true professional. We will be back!

When I got my puppy, I knew I was going to need help with her care during the workweek. Downtown Hound has been a lifesaver from the beginning! You can tell they really care for the dogs and understand pet parents too. Indie is growing up so well adjusted and calm. I know it is in large part to her days at daycare. She gets socialization with other dogs and is so happy to go to daycare each day. A couple of weeks ago Indie vomited several times at daycare. (I believe she may have gotten into something at home.) The staff immediately let me know, put her in a separate room and kept a vigilant eye on her. Within the next couple of hours they sent me numerous texts with updates and pictures. Their reassurance and experience helped ease my mind. If she had needed vet care, I would have known immediately. Whereas if she had been sick at home, I may have come home to a very different situation. Indie was right as rain when I picked her up after work. I am so thankful and 100% confident in the staff at Downtown Hound!

My Wesley(2 year old golden lab mix 60lbs) was so excited going in and coming out , he didn’t show any stress. He was as happy as can be!! they did a great job bathing him and trimming his nails!(he can be a bit rambunctious). I’m so happy this was his first ever groom…I will definitely come back next season or maybe for a day to play! Also price (48.00$)was cheaper then I had initially thought.

We were in a bind when our regular daycare closes. We were nervous to start our pup at a new place (she can be very timid). But everyone at Downtown Hound is so friendly and helpful. They knew Zhaan (our pup) by sight on the second day. Drop off and pick up is a breeze.

I started taking my Shiba Inu Takashi here because he was destroying my house and tormenting my cats. He loves it. He is always so happy to see everyone and he hasn't destroyed anything since.

The staff were friendly, but the area where the dogs were was so loud you needed earplugs. There are no outdoor areas for the dogs, so they do their business inside, which causes a foul odor as soon as you walk into the facility. This is not a place for my dog.

I like this place very much because of their convenience and my dog's happiness level. He seems to really enjoy himself here and is now pretty well known by staff. Yet, it distresses me that one of my complaints about bringing my dog here is that he seems to get kennel cough after spending the day. It usually only last two to three days. He coughs and vomits so he loses his appetite. I do intend to to keep bringing my best bud here. I just hope that he doesn't catch anything that will make him terminally ill.

Traveling through the area and needed daycare for our two IrishDoodles. Downtown Hound was close to our activity and accepted our four legged family. This place is great if we lived in the area they would be our go to place.

We were only here for a training class. I can't speak for the boarding.

I brought my dog "Chyna" there yesterday for her first day and she came home wiped out! I just love downtown hound... we definitely will keep coming back. I really like that the place is so clean it does look like a palace! You guys are amazing!

Great Place for your Pet! I always take my dog Kaiser when I come to Omaha to visit.

Used DTH for our first dog in 2017 and 2018, and despite our 6 month old dog coming home with swollen lump the size of a golf ball on his face once, for which they had no idea what happened or explanation for why it went unnoticed. We were pretty upset but he seemed to love playing there and it seemed good for him to run and socialize instead of being locked up at home. So now, with 2 dogs, we went back (after moving and using other services in 2019). In 2020, every time I come to pick up my two young, friendly, and highly socialized dogs, they are not out playing. If I ask how they did that day I get very vague responses, “good” “just fine”. They are in “time out” I’m told or “playing too rough” or once I was told there was a small fight, but my dog was not the instigator but he was in the back to separate them. There are no cameras to check on them throughout the day, and no way of knowing what they did or didn’t do or where they are, and responses to my questions are “good” and “no problems”. If there were problems, which I doubt, but I would take their word for it and find another alternative. But if my dogs are truly so rowdy, it would be in the best interest of my dogs and the other dogs that we find an alternative. The best interest of the dogs is not important to Downtown Hound. Please understand my dogs are high socialized and friendly, and I have observed them play in group settings many, many times, in addition to cameras and actual feedback from other daycares. 2 dogs, 2 years, ZERO issues. I understand how they could get very excited to start, considering how many dogs they sometimes pack into the play area. (The overcrowding and cleanliness issues not addressed in this review). This behavior was never a problem in 2017-18, or at any of the other dog daycares and dog parks we frequent. But last time, in September 2020, I was told both my dogs were in the back because they were “too wild” or something to that effect, but NOT kenneled, just in a smaller group. This was an outright lie. My 2 year old Husky was drooling profusely, a sign he is very stressed. His front legs were soaked in his own saliva, because he had been laying down, stressing out, for a long period of time. This is the 3rd or 4th time in a row I have PAID $58 A DAY for them to play and be supervised and they are kenneled in the back with no explanation except lies as to why and how long they were like that. I can kennel them at home, save $60, and my poor Husky won’t be sad and stressed. Will never go back.

My pup started going to daycare here a few months ago and it is his favorite place to be! I can barely hold him back when we get out of the car-he's trying to get inside so fast. Staff is very friendly and I can tell how much they care for the dogs. Love this place!

I can not express how much my Bart and I love this place. Every time we pull-up Bart goes crazy because he is going to play all day with his friends furry and none furry. The staff is so friendly and very kind. My pup loves hanging out with them! I am definitely getting my money worth! If you have a pup and are looking for a day care TRY DOWNTOWN HOUND!

Great experience, they groomed my dog, like a champ. Especially since I wasn't quite sure how I wanted him done. This was my first time going there and I will definitely will be a return customer.

I have now used their grooming, daycare, and overnight boarding services and I can honestly say that I love this place and so does my dog! He is always so happy going in and coming out and the groomer always does an amazing job!

Best place in the metro area to take your pups for daycare or day spa! Our beagles love the place and just speaking the words “Downtown Hound” send them to the garage door. Staff are always friendly and make scheduling a visit convenient.

My dogs are seniors, and have been babied since I rescued/adopted them. I don’t know what kind of life they had before, but they’ve always been nervous of other dogs and people... Downtown Hound has cared for them numerous times over the last 5 years, and they always come back happy. I always feel guilty leaving my dogs, they’re like kids, but they seem happy every time I’ve picked them up. The prices here are nice too, and the people that work here seem to really enjoy animals. They also keep the place clean, so important for my old dogs to not catch illnesses.

It needed a little more shaving on the left side of his mouth. Other than that I was happy with my Midnight.
