I ordered medication for my sick cat but unfortunately he died before I picked up the medication but they still charged me. When I brought it up to them they told me they understood and they'd take care of it but apparently not since they sent a letter saying they'd take legal action if I didn't pay it off.

I am from out of town and visited Lincoln for a funeral and used this business for doggie daycare for four hours. My dog is up to date on rabies, bordatella, heartworm, DHPP, and flea and tick prevention. When I arrived at their office, they said it would be necessary for them to give my dog a lepto first vaccine and a flu first vaccine for her to stay there. I had no alternative so agreed. When I picked up my dog, I was charged $16 for the requested boarding services, $58 for unwanted, unnecessary immunizations that will require a 2nd immunization in 3 weeks, and $26 for a “new patient examination “. What a rip-off!!!! I brought my dog into my hometown veterinarian for the 2nd dose of the immunizations and they don’t even stock the flu vaccine since they never give it.

If you care about your pets, DONT TAKE THEM HERE. They over vaccinate and over medicate which is extremely dangerous and harmful to our small ones.

The nurse does not know how to interact with Chows. The instant my chow saw her when she walked in he begin to bark and growl. She attempts to pick him up and he bit at her. Chows need a subtle introduction from the owner. I have not had this experience with any other vets. Also the reason for my visit was not met. It was for puppy shots . I think the Dr just didn’t want to do it because she also was not capable of working with Chows. As a first time and last time patient they both should have been introduced to my Chow first through me. The nurse just took him to the back room than after the treatment the Dr came out and spoke to me. The dogs at this location in the back rooms were barking and squealing loudly compared to other vets I have visit. Something about this location just seems off. Can’t pin point it. The front desk receptionist are great.

Great service, care about the customers and their animals. Won’t try to upsell you on things your pet doesn’t need. Good people, doing good work & make you feel valued as a customer. Highly recommend.

I would like to thank the team at Nebraska animal medical for getting me in and their knowledge in the field and care of the animals. The doctors and assistants went above and beyond, very professional, very clean facilities. Thank you.

My cat was having some litter box issues and would not urinate. I took him to NAMC and they were able to get a sample and figure out what was going on in a timely manner. They went through step-by-step what was going on and were so friendly. I will be returning for other veterinary needs in the future.

All the staff from the time I called for my appointment to the end are very friendly. During my evaluation with the Vet Technician she listened to all of my concerns and was very thorough. When the vet came in after my pups checkup she was very Good with explanation and had me involved in decisions made for treatments and options. I appreciate being able to get appointments very quickly and the full service that is offered for our pets needs is wonderful.

Dr. Cosgrove sees my girl Zoey. She has awful allergy and skin issues. We’ve struggle with this for so long with her, and no one has been able to correct it. Dr. Cosgrove is working so hard to get her to a better place. He is a wonderful, caring, kind man. I’ve never had someone treat my dog as lovingly as he does. I would recommend him very highly to anyone looking for a great vet.

Our dog Alex has been seeing Dr Cosgrove. We are happy with his professionalism and kindness. Alex is a nervous dog and everyone is understanding of this and so nice to him.

Love appointments, friendly staff and professionalism. They were very attentive to our cats and treated them with care. If you want good care you have to pay for it. We love that we can get care 24 hours a day. Our pets deserve such care. Yes there are others but convenience is important to us, we found this place to be extremely clean and pleasant.

We live an hour away and our dog was having a medical issue. We called and were given some information over the phone that helped us which many emergency vets will not do unless they have already seen your animal. We then were given appointment time for the same day and were able to see Dr. Bocon. Dr. Bocon was very nice and was able to reassure us on our pets health issue and what the options were. We will continue to us NAMC even though we are driving to them from over an hour a way, it is definitely worth it to us. Thank you!

Would not recommend. Did not treat my dog well or fairly. Would rather pay extra at Paws or Kennl Inn for far superior service, more exercise and entertainment for my pups and overall, more knowledgeable care. Both other places have on site training and it shows!

My husband took our cat in because we wasn't eating or drinking and had a cough. They were there for 15 minutes and sent home with an antibiotic! $111 for 15 minutes? We ended up at the emergency vets that night as he became even more lethargic. He was so dehydrated and needed an infusion, which should have been been done earlier that day!! I will never take an animal back there again!!!

When a person brings their pet to a professional they ought to be able to trust that the doctor has the animal's best interests in mind. I don't believe this is the case at Nebraska Animal Medical Center. I believe my experience showed them to be motivated purely by profit with no interest in the well-being of my pet. I brought my eleven-year-old cat to them because she had lost a couple front teeth and had exhibited some changes in her behavior. although she is quite content and happy it seemed like the smart thing to do. I wanted to touch base with a vet about how I should handle her aging process and find out what stage she was in. The staff at NAMC were very polite and spent about half an hour with my cat while I waited. When they arrived in the waiting room I wasn't told anything about her but, "everything is normal except her #108 tooth is very dirty. We want to schedule anesthesia, x-rays, and surgery." I asked, "is there an abscess?" Dr. Bocon responded, "we can't know without x-rays. We have a time open tomorrow. You should schedule now," She presented me with bill already made out out for about $1000. I have been in this situation before and all of the tell tale elements were there. I've been there at car dealerships, shady high-pressure sales situations of all stripes. It was the ABC mentality. Always Be Closing. They were going to put my cat under anesthesia, maybe take x-rays, maybe not. Then they say she needs surgery and ask for my consent sight unseen. I have no choice but to trust the vet and fix this supposedly dire problem that warrants ripping teeth of my cat's little skull. Does anybody think they get those x-rays and EVER say, 'nope everything's fine?' Of course they don't. NAMC is treating pets as profit with no regard for their overall health. I called the a week after my appointment because I had already paid them $105 for what seemed like nothing. They did blood work but that was just to clear her for surgery. The women I talked to on the phone was being fed answers by someone next to her and all the answers were evasive and meaningless. Again, they tried to schedule surgery. All they could say was she was normal. Not even a word of advice about her aging. This infuriated me because they were making some wage-earning employee take the brunt of my anger and lie for them. Cowards. They lied about her urine being normal even though they never took a sample. I asked specifically about he eyes and ears. The answer, "uhhh normal." If she is so normal why does she need surgery? Is she going to be normal after she wakes up missing her teeth and a giant, unnecessary wound in her mouth? Our animals are our friends and they depend on us. It is sad and infuriating the veterinarians cannot be trusted to be partners in the well-being of innocent animals.

My Maltipoo has been in twice now for relatively major work. I have also had a home visit and also a home "pick up" for two other less critical events. The service is great, they seem to have all of the latest equipment which is important as you do not have to go in and then leave to go to another place offering a higher level. We have had our first brush with diabetes , he deteriorating rapidly and when we got there he truly was almost gone. Vet Amanda Miller has done a great job both on his teeth and this time stabilizing him. All of the Vet techs are very knowledgeable and will spend as much time as need be to answer questions. I only have one irritation about the clinic. it would be nice if they would establish you as a customer and offer billing or trust. I have paid in full each time despite the fact these bills are high. I am thankful I can do that but what would I do if I couldnt? I guess my pet would have to be turned away. So it is my recommendation that you also have a vet outside of this clinic because it is a good clinic but is operating as a business.

My little dog has been very plagued by some sort of mysterious respiratory reaction. Not knowing my way around Lincoln, being sick my self and the fact that it is bitter bitter cold out all make for a very appreciative pet owner in that they provided the mobile clinic option. He is now on some meds nd I think we have bought some time to figure this thing out. The Dr and her assistant Kyle were very nice and even made a way for my meds to get delivered. We have used the clinic a number of times now and have been well treated.

Everything was going so smoothly up until they were to busy to take my cat in for an emergency. I had to take her to a different emergency vet. That vet sent over all of her paperwork to NAMC and they haven’t done anything to get her her meds. 5 days go by and finally hear from a vet that can prescribe her meds but here’s the kicker she was going to be out of office for 3 days so wouldn’t be able to actually prescribe it to me. Then 3 more days go by and they finally give me a written prescription to go somewhere else. In this time it’s been over a week I’ve called 10 times and was just out through loop holes, they told me they would call me when the prescription was ready and they never did. At first they act like they care about your animals but in the long run they 100% do not care! 0/10 do not recommend this place for any type of help. My cat can barely breathe and they don’t care.

I’ve been a client of NAMC for 15 years with three different pets. I can think of only once instance where I was slightly dissatisfied. The staff are always courteous, helpful, kind and patient. I’ve had to put down 2 dogs there and the amount of care and compassion the staff displayed was so appreciated. I think they may be a tad more costly than some other vet centers, but I have never once distrusted the care, treatment or services. Strongly recommend.

We were not able to take our cat to our vet due to the post-COVID back-up so we ended up at NAMC. It was a $400 urinary tract infection which would have been more costly if I would have spent all the $$$ on additional tests they 'highly recommended'! If you are looking for ways to part with your money, this is the place. I would HIGHLY suggest Veterinary Emergency Services instead: The office staff are consistantly kind and the Vets are not pushy.
