My dog broke her leg in two different spots, I was stressed out about being able to afford the appointment, but they brought up carecredit, and I got approved. The staff was super nice and understanding, they were very down to earth and im pleased with my expierence. 10/10 recommend.

They took really good care of our dog. I would recommend them. The only thing is they are pretty expensive.

This group of highly trained professionals were able to save my dog’s life after he was exposed to some kind of poison while we were traveling over the holidays. He was in their care for 3 days and they were all so wonderful about keeping me in loop as to how he was handling treatments, even in the middle of the night! Thank you everyone for taking such wonderful care of Charlie! I know you can’t save them all but I had peace of mind knowing he was here for his emergency care.

Writing this review is so frustrating because I've had mixed results with this business. Earlier in the year, our 10-year-old poodle began coughing and was in distress. We brought her in in the middle of the night and this clinic was amazing. They ran tests, gave her oxygen, and thoroughly discussed options. The kept her overnight and we picked her up the next day - she's like a new puppy with her heart medication. Thanks to this outstanding experience, I chose this clinic for my 14-year old cat who began suddenly wheezing in the middle of the night (on a Sunday no less). He was in clear distress and we brought him in. Though he was gasping for air, he received no oxygen, we were given no options, and he was given back to me with amoxicillin. I brought him home and he "loafed" on the floor, still wheezing. I was instructed to give him the first round of amoxicillin with his next feeding. The vet tech had assured me that everything was fine and he was just snotty, so I left the room to prepare his food. When I returned, he was lying on the floor, not breathing. This was less than 2 hours from me bringing him home. I never got a chance to give him any medication. We rushed him back to the clinic and sat in the parking lot as instructed, and received a phone call from the attending vet (since you can't go into the place and talk to people face-to-face) that he couldn't save him and that he must have had an underlying heart condition which was stimulated by the medication they gave him during his first visit. To their credit the doctor and staff were extremely compassionate and helpful in arranging cremation, but throughout, I was devastated and didn't question why I wasn't presented the option for them to keep him and observe. And I should have. He had been to another clinic two months earlier and passed the physical with flying colors. He was running and jumping earlier that week with no issues. Why wasn't he given oxygen when it was clear he was gasping for air? I feel as though I failed my little buddy and am having a tough time healing from this loss. I'm finding that too many clinics in the Flathead don't treat cats as well as dogs. Either we don't have enough cat-friendly vets or dogs are just higher on the priority scale. I've had vets push vaccines for my indoor adult cats before knowing anything about them. I also experienced a vet who dismissed symptoms as minor when they turned out to be fatal. I think I've finally found a great cat vet and will review that clinic as time goes on, but I'm so wary now about where to bring my fur-babies. So, my final thoughts are, if you have a dog, this is a 5-star clinic. If you have a cat, you might want to explore other options.

They're good at helping and saving pets, but pretty spendy.

Got my dog right in. He had a bad ear infection and I'm from out of town. They got him fixed right up. Very friendly staff.

They got us in right away when we believe a cat we were watching had a seizure. I would have liked it if they would have kept up updated on what was going on. I completely understand though with it being a emergency clinic they probably don't have the time to update often.

Excellent emergency care when you need it most! Dr. Aldrich is very knowledgeable and excellent bedside manor with my Corgi in 2019 and was a life saver recently with my 13 year old Chihuahua.

Open during the odd hours of the night. I had been contemplating putting my dog down for awhile because of age and old injuries causing him to have issues. Midnight came around one night and he was really having a hard time. Gave FPE a call to make sure someone was available before I drove that long dreadful drive. It was nearly 2am when I finally got there. They were very professional and kind to my dog during his last moments. I had him cremated and he was back in my possession 4 days later. They provided a nice Walnut urn, and a clay paw print. It was much easier dealing with this in the middle of the night than during the busy daytime hours. I appreciated their staff. Not that this was easy but any means, but glad to have them there.

Meka needed immediate care while we were on the road from Missoula. Saturday afternoon and they were busy, but took great care of our baby girl dog after about a 30 minute wait. We were able to get treatment and medication for her and get home so she could heal and rest in a stress free environment. Very grateful for the professional attention and care she received. Thank you.

So we unfortunately lost our dog Arlo on the 20th.. before then he spent a few days here after suddenly falling Ill with IMHA. I just wanted to express my gratitude to Doctor Moore and his staff for doing everything they could for my 6 year old fur baby. It was all so sudden and they were so kind and kept me updated the few days i was going crazy and my heart hurts for this staff that have to see pets die this way and see them deteriorate before them. We made the decision to take him home and doctor Moore said he would pass in the night. He did, and i know they cared for him too even for the few days they knew him and he wasn't even himself. You can definitely trust your sick pet with this hospital and can trust thier guidance and that they will do everything in thier power to save your pet if needed and they also respect your decisions even if they're really sad and hard to make. Thank you Doctor Moore and staff for being so kind and understanding with us being so heart broken and maybe not the most pleasant to deal with.

This was a very efficiently run animal hospital. Due to Covid they have reservations. We arrived on time, they took in our pup, kept us updated by phone, and we had her back within an hour with proper medications after some X-rays that were needed. Highly recommend to out of town visitors or locals who are in a bind after hours of regular vets!

Way too expensive it's to bad they couldn't charge the same price as other vet's more people could possibly afford to use them a little more often

We had to take our dog in last night fir treatment. They were very busy but got us in as soon as they could. The doctor called and told us everything she was going to do, then texted a picture of the wound and her findings. The charge was very reasonable. I was impressed with the caring staff who interacted with us.

My dog started coughing badly, and my primary vet is closed on the weekends. Flathead Pet Emergency was a lifesaver; I could get her in on a Saturday to get looked at and set up on antibiotics. Thank you, Flathead Pet Emergency!

I never write reviews. But we took our 7 month old puppy here because he was having symptoms of something being stuck in his throat and kept vomiting. They ran useless tests and never once checked his throat. We even were sharing these concerns with them while at the vet and they weren’t acknowledged and the tech helping us had a really poor attitude. Just unfortunate and a huge waste of money and a huge bill to walk away knowing nothing. We took him to another vet who found out was was wrong within 5 minutes. He DID have something stuck in his throat and because of this vet, we just found out while our pup has been struggling. Would not bring a pup here again :(

Dr. Dean cared wonderfully for my chihuahua when she needed emergency surgery after she was attacked by a dog. He was kind, thoughtful, and diligent. He and his staff were there for me during the recovery process to answer my questions and concerns.

Last night was not our first visit to the Pet ER, my baby Cinnamon is very nervous about vets and assistant’s. But they are handling her like a champ. We won’t know her outcome until tonight. Every time I have ever had to come to the Pet ER they have taken great care of my dogs. They have always been patient and kind to me and to my pets. I spent countless times on the phone with them when my other dog was in labor while they walked me through the steps and what to watch for. The assistant spent about a half hour on the phone with me this morning talking to me about my dog that is there now and how she is doing and the possible outcomes. They are alway nice to me, comforting and knowledgeable when I talk with them. They also don’t request that I bring my dog in if they don’t feel like is urgent and instead have given me guidance as for what to be watching for so that tells me that they care about me and my animal and not just the money. I will forever be grateful for all the help that they have given me over the last 7 years. Thank you

My labrador Duke ate something he shouldn't have got real sick and we were referred to Flathead pet emergency hospital. Dr. Dean took X-rays & saw an obstruction so he had to do surgery on Duke. He was very straight forward and knowledgeable too. He is very experienced w/ this kind of thing and was able to remove the piece of corn on the cob from his intestine. They did a great job and Duke recovered well after a week of rest! I highly recommend Dr. Dean and his team Thank you!
