Absolutely the best vet surgeon ever, best techs, best front desk! So very compassionate and understanding of what we were going through with our "baby". I can't say enough about the brilliance and care!!!!!!

Bridger does amazing work. They were able to fit my dog in for emergency surgery very quickly when Boone else would, for much less than it would have cost elsewhere. Very communicative and the doctors explain everything well. I would recommend them to anyone with an animal in need, their team was quite literally a life saver for our family!

I am so impressed with Bridger Veterinary Specialists. I was referred here after my dog tore her CCL. Surgery turned out amazing, and she is back to using all four legs and having a fantastic quality of life. Dr. Jason Wheeler is great with people - he answered all of my questions and eased all of my concerns about the surgery process, aftercare, etc; and I never felt like any of the questions were "dumb questions". The techs/assistants took great care of my dog and were willing to let me be a part of the process before the surgery - my dog is particularly nervous being touched by strangers. The office is so quick to respond to emails, so aftercare and follow up was a breeze. Their afterhours emergency line is equally responsive and pleasant to deal with, if you need it. Thanks BVS, for fixing up my pup, and being awesome to work with!

Dr. Carlsten and her technicians treated my dog well. Unfortunately, he had an aggressive cancer diagnosis. I feel the BVS team did their very best. They were excellent at following up throughout his treatment. We were able to have an extra, healthy couple months together thanks to their care.

We could not be more impressed with Dr. Carlsten and her tech Brittni. They are both so informative while demonstrating a tremendous amount of compassion. We are navigating a very difficult diagnosis with one of our very sweet dogs. They wasted no time in getting us in so we could get all of the information to make an educated decision on what plan was best for our family. Our handsome furry dude already loves them and he would give them five stars too! If you’re on the fence, book a consult!

We need up here after two other vets were unable to diagnose why our cat had been vomiting for days and indicated there might be a tumor. The vets were very thorough and Dr. Murtaugh was very patient with us as we were panicked. If we lived in Bozeman, no doubt I would want this to be our vet.

The staff was incredibly helpful, but even more so they were kind in a moment I desperately needed it. Pricey, but for a reason.

Jackson ended up telling me it was a shame my review ruined BVS' perfect reputation. He also told me they kept my dog overnight because in his over 20 yrs of experience, he could tell what an owner could handle. When I told him later he should do what was best and necessary for my dog and not me, he said he didn't have time to explain to me that my dog was responding to physical touch with expressions of pain. In contrast, the vet tech told me he had been howling all night and was so sad so she was glad he could go home...I think Jackson should worry less about his rating and more about his ego. In the instance of the 5 min 19 sec phone call telling me my dog had cancer and asking me what I wanted to do, he said later he hadn't told me more because my dog was under anesthesia, he didn't have time to explain. I timed myself. Would've added about 3.7 seconds to the call to say "Your dog is under anesthesia so I'd like to keep this short." These are just a few examples from our experience with him. And even after I'd said I wanted his records and to transfer his care, Jackson felt the need to be the one to tell me it would be best if I sought my dog's care elsewhere. Just that...over-expressed need to be the power-holder, decision maker, I'll be the one to say what happens here. At various times, said he didn't tell me things because I wouldn't understand, he didn't have time, or there was no point in explaining. Several visits. I'd say the total time I got from Jackson was less than 20 min easy. So this wasn't because I was "extra". He prides his ego over his job, over the animals, and certainly over the humans. If he'd like to find a pedestal for self-inflation and some form of validation, he should do that elsewhere. Paying customers shouldn't be put in a position to provide Jackson a stage to establish his need for superiority or fodder for being more educated in veterinary science. I would hope that he is. That's why us plebians go to vets to begin with. His YouTube video where he laughs and says something like, "By George, I'm not good at much but I'm alright at being a vet" or some such thing is....special. I'll never forget that the phone call from BVS telling me my dog had cancer and explaining my options was only 5 minutes and 19 seconds long, which according to what I was billed for that time as a consult, roughly equals 25$ per minute. Addition: my dog was seen yesterday, it appears his vaccine site was disturbed while at the clinic, even clipped the hair to do so, then blew this morning. Mistakes happen, but ultimately, and after some professional assessments, I am seeking his care elsewhere. I read all of these positive reviews and wonder if Sitka's was just a series of unfortunate and unlucky events but also think maybe this is something owners should at least be able to read when deciding on the care choices for their animals. I'm writing my review because I decided to take him to BVS based on these amazing experiences others had. I don't think it's a best practice to use white lies to manage customer phone calls, to negate standard operating procedures in blood draw aftercare, and to fail to send his results with the justification that it wasn't done because it normally isn't requested. Again, maybe just got unlucky. But this was our experience. And it cost thousands of dollars for all but one of our 4 visits. I mention that, because part of seeking and choosing this premium care facility, was the thought that this bigger price tag was going to ensure Sitka got the best. It's hard. I keep wondering if vets consider the oath human doctors take to do no harm.

Very professional interactions with all of the vet techs. Dr Culver was very considerate and compassionate with his explanations and recommendations. The office is following strict covid protocols to protect staff and clients.

Our dog Honey broke her leg in two places in January. We were referred here from Helena. Dr. Jackson and the vet technicians were all amazing and so caring. Our pup recovered surgery quickly with great care from all the staff.

They are very kind and professional. Give you all the information you need to make decisions. Spend adequate time with you answering questions. Take very good care of your pet. I only wish you could go inside with your animal to comfort them , but thqt is not the fault of the business.

I cannot write enough good things about my experience at BVS. They were able to repair my dog's broken leg after a vet in Missoula declined to fix it (and recommended amputation). Everyone was kind and patient and, most importantly, gave my dog amazing care. I'm so grateful for everyone at BVS and especially Dr. Wheeler.

Our dog Dash tangled with a porcupine. A total of 18 quills became Moving Foreign Objects in him. 14 came out on their own and 4 went into lungs and heart. Dr. Jackson and staff to quick action to locate and surgically remove the quills that for sure saved his life. Bozeman is super fortunate to have this facility.

The staff was amazing. They were friendly, knowledgeable and very caring while working in challenging conditions with COVID. Dr. Wheeler fixed my Frenchie's soft palate and stenotic nares and the surgery was wildly successful. I can't thank them all enough for taking such terrific care of my sweet baby girl.

Long story short, it was very poor follow through and poor communication. The vet office never did return our call about tapering our dog off of his steroids. We had to call again after we ran out of meds over the weekend. Once we did get in contact there was a lot of confusion and little clarification for a plan to finish tapering the meds. Apparently we asked too many questions and who ever we spoke to was very rude and short with us, we didn't bother rescheduling with them because she was that rude!
