Like others, I applied for one of their dogs several weeks ago and have heard nothing. The dog is still up on Petfinder. I find it hard to believe that they are so busy that they can't even send a courtesy email with some kind of update. I would be happy to show them how to do this quickly to all adopters, but I guess that is not possible either since they won't respond to anybody. If they are really getting "hundreds" of inquiries for each dog, then why are the same dogs listed as up for adoption for weeks and months? This is shameful. Those dogs could have already been in a loving home but this group is too inept to handle that. They should just shut down - I am certain other rescues would love to be able to help these poor dogs. The canned response that everybody is getting is terrible too. A rescue dedicated to finding dogs new homes that can't follow through should be taking every step possible to change.

I adopted the most amazing puppy who had a VERY bad condition of mites not only in his ears but all over his body. They said they gave him a shot and he would be better within a couple of days but he kept getting worse (his eyes were swollen shut, he couldn’t even tell when I threw his toy down the hall) but I took him to my vet who prescribed him medication and he’s been better than he’s ever been! I’ve been trying to contact the adoption center because unfortunately I’m not able to keep up with taking care of such a young puppy due to my busy schedule. I’ve been trying to get ahold of them for a week and a half now by email and I’m getting nothing. I’m sending my last email tomorrow (and leaving it on my review) that I’m going to find a forever home for him. I should have every right to at this point since I’m getting no response, and I want what’s best for him and it’s not sitting in those kennels????????‍♀️

Adopted my baby girl here over 2 years ago. She’s my whole world. Her name was Aurora but I changed it to Skye. I thank Judys Forgotten Jewells because they helped me find my best friend. Quick meet up, got to play with her and her sisters but I knew she was the one.

Sent first email on 10/06 and a few more following up over the next week or 2 but never received a response. Tried to call but they said you can only communicate with them via email. It’s been over a month now. We moved on and adopted from another shelter.

i emailed about wanting to adopt a puppy over two weeks ago and never got a response. i am not the only customer that has experienced this. the only response i got was that they aren’t able to answer emails quickly due to covid and the “hundred of applications per dogs” i understand they may be busy but you can’t have people adopt dogs if you’re not responding. to me the business seems unrealistic and unprofessional.

We adopted Jasper (formerly Jackson) back in October of 2019... He is a little brown Shih Tzu with alot of personality!! The adoption process was as easy as it could be! He was a great addition to our family.. We would definitely deal with them again and would consider his adoption a very good experience!!

I was interested in a puppy and sent an email like the website said. I got back an automatic response saying if they didn’t reach out to me on 48 hours I should send another email. My first email was sent July 28th. I have now sent a total of 4 email over the passed two weeks with zero response.

Phone number listed goes to the animal hospital and not adoption center. Sent 4 emails, two Facebook messages and several inquiries through petfinder.... ZERO communication back. It’s a shame that lack of communication is what drove us away form this rescue.

I’ve emailed them about 3-4 times over the past couple of weeks and I’ve gotten no response. Their website says to email them and not to call because it goes to their animal hospital, so I did so. I’ve been interested in 2 of their dogs and have gotten absolutely no response. I’m not sure if it’s because of COVID-19 or what but they said to wait 24-48 hours. It has been weeks.

The absolute WORST experience. Olivia, the tech responsible, was rude and did not return calls or emails. We applied for a cute and lovable 8 week old mix and were denied adoption on the grounds that our current dog was not up to date on his shots. I sent 3 separate emails showing my dog was up to date on all vaccinations and prevention meds. Olivia is the absolute worst and would not recommend anyone to use this operation for pet adoption.

I'm not sure how any of the reviewers on here were actually successful in adopting a pet from here? I tried contacting "Judy's Forgotten Jewels" for each of 8 pups they had posted to every local shelter imaginable—sending only one email per their strict instructions. After a full week I assumed they were not available (and was so disappointed). But then I still saw most of the pups up on *every* rescue site near me. So I emailed her a personal message, politely asking if any of them were still available since the dogs were still showing as "adoptable" on her website and every local rescue website. I also sent a Facebook message per their instruction. Nothing. Never heard a word back from them. They state "they get so many emails they can't respond to all"...if they maintained their "inventory" and removed pets already adopted or pulled them once they received "3" applications as stated in the auto-reply, maybe they wouldn't have an overabundance of emails...??? Every other shelter responded promptly that the pet was either available or already adopted. They have many poor reviews on Google of the same complaint. This sounds more like a business taking advantage of free advertising by mass-posting on every local animal rescue's website for the purpose of driving traffic to their website for donations, rather than a shelter with the interests of the animals and people who desperately want to adopt those animals in mind. Not sure how else to explain why the pets remain on all the search portals for weeks if they claim "they have so many inquiries, they can't keep up"? The APA and Humane Society update their website hourly. I would not recommend Judy's Forgotten Jewels to anyone. Seems more like a business exploiting rescue shelters by preying on people who want to adopt by keeping them checking their website (good for SEO) and asking for donations. Maybe I'm wrong, but they reply to every positive post in reviews and crickets to anyone asking for answers. Seems like planted posts. Unfortunate. I did however find my forever pet through APA (Animal Protection Association of MO)...they called me back within 20 minutes, and I had my sweet Lyla in my arms within the hour! :)

Very cute animals and I'm sure they love them but couldn't get a response, social media is dead, not very responsive.

Was interested in adopting a dog they had available for adoption and I emailed them like they asked on the website. I emailed on wednesday of last week and asked about a dog my family was interested in adopting. It is now monday with no response so I decided it would be best to call. On google, it said animal rescue so I call and the lady who answered the phone was very rude to me referring to me as "hun" and "honey" in a belittling way. Told me that I should wait longer and gave me no information on the dogs. If they want these dogs adopted then maybe they need to figure out a better system and actually get back to people in a timely manner.

I tried to contact them via email about multiple dogs they had listed. Website says email only and to email again after 48 hours so you don't get lost in the shuffle. So I sent an email every 2 days for several days only to get a curt response saying every time I emailed I got knocked down to the bottom of their contact list. The dogs I had inquired about sat on the website for 3 weeks! Don't hold your breath waiting on a response.

We reached out to Judy's Forgotten Jewell's twice in early August. The inquiries to schedule an appointment were sent from different email addresses 8 days apart. We have not received a reply 4 weeks later. We have contacted a different shelter to adopt our next family dog.
