If you have to put your animal down do not go here. They are unprofessional and rushed to get me out of there while my cat was dying. Unfortunately I had to put my cat of 13 years down. They didn’t let us have our own room when putting her down, they did it in the back room where there were a bunch of other animals and vet techs. They did not let me spend time with my cat before they put her down. They rushed the whole situation. As soon as I went back to see her, they immediately stuck the needle in her arm and gave her the meds. During this there was a machine next to me beeping non-stop. So my mom politely asked them to turn it off, and the nurse that was there gave her attitude saying she was already turning it off. The whole thing was just super unprofessional and I fully regret taking my baby there. I will never ever stop regretting not being able to spend time with her before she passed. I will NEVER bring another one of my animals here every again. They took away what meant most to me, just being able to say goodbye.

We had to go to Webster Animal hospital during the holidays. Our dog has irritable bowel disease and sometimes gets flare-ups. The specific week her flare-up was more aggressive than normal. We did an initial trip and received some medicine to start to fix it. After two days we were not seeing big improvements, so we went back for a second trip. We spoke with Dr. Bedow and he was able to provide us with the rest of the medicine we needed. After a day of being on the right medicine, our little doodle was back to normal. We were hesitant about going to Webster but after speaking with Bedow, a doodle owner himself, he helped us ease our mind and enjoy the rest of our trip. He called us the next day and wanted to check in on Ruby, he wasn’t going to be working during the weekend and wanted to ensure we did not need anything else. Very thankful for them helping us.

I called before I made the long drive with a hurt dog and asked about pricing since I would not be paid for another 4 days. I was told to be seen is $90(something) and anything extra (tests and ect.) Would be billed. Then after my appointment on during the checkout process I was told I had to pay the entire balance before I was allowed to leave. I was told if I didn't have it and couldn't get it from friends or family that they would call the police. I would not recommend this bait and switch trap of a place. In all honesty the veterinarian did seem like he genuinely cared, my issue is solely with the likes and deceptions about payment or go to jail.

We took our 9 week old pup to Webster Groves animal hospital. Upon the initial visit, we liked what we saw. However, when we went back at 15 weeks, we found out they were supposed to give us follow up instructions at our 9 wk visit to come back at 12 weeks to get vaccines. So that was the initial mess up on their part. When we were at our 15 wk appointment, I requested that all vaccines become up to date and that she get her Bordatella vaccine so we could be out of town on Christmas (this is important later on). At the 15 wk appointment, the vet said she looked like a healthy pup until my fiancé mentioned she’s been pawing at her ears. She looked in her ears again and decided “oh I need to run a culture on her ears.” Come to find out she had a UTI so we were put on antibiotics. We scheduled her spay and everything went well with that at 20 weeks. When we take her to the place we were going to board her on Christmas Eve, we can’t find anything in her vaccination paperwork that says she received the Bordatella vaccine. So I call the vet, and nope she didn’t get it. So now, due to the negligence of whomever’s job it was to listen to my request for vaccines and get it done, we will not be spending Christmas with my family out of town. We feel that this hospital is money hungry and doesn’t listen to their patients. I will NEVER bring my pup here again and I will NEVER refer anyone here. If anyone asks, I will tell them our story.

Great place. The staff is very friendly. All prescriptions were labeled with full directions. Would definitely recommend to a friend

We had to make the difficult decision to put our dog down last night. The staff was absolutely amazing. Not only did they get us in right away(which no other vet or animal hospital could do) but they were so understanding, compassionate, and accommodating. I don't understand the low rating. This place definitely deserves 5 stars.

My dog is now dead because of this abhorrent place… I don’t have enough characters to go into detail without Google deleting the review. Please avoid coming here at all costs. They don’t care about you or your pets. They’re very unprofessional.

Called and set appointment to take a dog in. Was given an appointment time of 3pm, Arrived at 3pm and checked in and told they were running a little behind but someone would be with me shortly. Sone one asked a few questions shortly after that and said someone would be with me soon., Finally at 4;30 after all the other animals had cleared from the waiting room we were the only ones left so asked receptionist when we we been seen. Said she didn't know and no one checked. So told her that is rediculus and left. A month later there is a charge on my statement for $55 for canceled appointment. I was there for the appointment but no one checked with us or let us know when we might get to see a vet or anything or what the problem was. I don't feel I should have been charged for a cancelled appointment as I was there foe the appointment but no one would see us. I have called twice to discuss this with them but was given a voice mail but my call was never returned. Bottom line I believe my $55 should be returned. Don't remember the individuals name but the voice message said that he was manager of customer relations. A job which he apparently doesn't take very seriously.

I have seen a lot of the reviews and I would like to share something. My husband and I got our puppy and not 48 hours later I thought she had parvo. I freaked out. My mother in laws diabetic cat Lucas already goes here and he loves getting attention from the staff. I checked in at the front desk. I told them I had a suspected parvo case. I filled out the paperwork and they took me to a room . Parvo test came about 30 minutes later. Vet tech saw us about 20 minutes after saying it isnt parvo. Took our Luna back to see if she had a blockage.Turns out the puppy ate through the cat food container and ate a lot of food. Vet gave us some medicine for her tummy and she was on a diet of rice and boiled chicken for a week. I have a emergency room doctor as a parent. In an urgent care or emergency facility the receptionist is there to do a certian job. They will not know about treatments because they are not vet techs. Not vets. Setting up an appointment and giving myself 4 hours to be seen because urgent care works under something called triage. Sorry but the check up for a healthy animal will have to wait. In all cases trauma and emergency care comes first according to rank of emergency. Aka a possiable uti has to wait for the dog that was attacked by a porcupine . The staff has to deal with sick pets 24/7. After a while you become numb to the emotions of others. - From a dog mom, and EMT

I’ve been taking my pets here for the last 10 years. There is steady decline in their service. It used be fine place but last couple of years it’s gone down in service.

They did a decent job treating our dog for an ear infection and sold us the meds to treat but the directions they put on the label said for two weeks but the med quantity only lasted 4 days. The vet was very good for her part. This is definitely a corporate commercial doc in the box type of place. Unrelated to the quality of care, when you call their phone system, you are forced to spend up to several minutes listing to various outbound messages, even if they have nothing to do with why you are calling. I'm sure they receive a lot of inbound traffic. Messages like this only have one purpose. To deter phone calls.

I’ve been taking my dog here for over nine years now and I can honestly say that the last two years this place has fallen apart. My dog goes in every three months so it’s safe to say that they get plenty of my money. I recently have moved and asked that my dogs prescription get moved and if it would cost more I was told no. After waiting over two weeks and ever hearing anything I went to pick it up from the pharmacy and they had put it back because no one came to pick it up. The next day once it was ready I went to pick it up and it was twice as much as what it initially is and the dosage was higher. After alerting one of the managers he told me that he was going to handle it the next day he did not return a single phone call or answer any of my calls everyone in the office gave me a bunch of attitude and said there was not much that they could do they just would send me to another voicemail. After finally getting a hold of a very nice woman named Kate she was able to get me the appropriate dosage that I needed for my dog I then had to drive over 30 miles to go and get it from there they made me return the medicine that I spent a ton of money on and pay for more no one apologized no one acknowledged the wrong in the situation and I will be taking my business elsewhere

3 years ago I went in the middle of the night to have my dog looked at who was miserable with a bad ear infection. When I pulled in the parking lot someone came out and said they only have one vet in right now and he’s doing a surgery and they are not taking anyone else. It’s an emergency vet?!? You’re turning people away? Poor staff management is all I can think of. Unacceptable no matter the reason.

My sons puppy had lesions on his body and was seen 3 times before he was correctly treated. While we understand that they were extremely busy, Dr Bovier was rude and simply unsympathetic to the situation. The office is unorganized and unprofessional! Steer clear of this practice.

I am new to town but I happen to drive past Webster Groves Animal Hospital on my work commute - I'm so glad I knew where the closest 24 hr emergency vet was. My small dog ate two huge bars of dark chocolate and was so sick he could barely stand and was convulsing. It was scary but they got us in quickly, maybe 15-20 minutes. The doctor was very sweet and professional and reassured us everything would be ok. I got periodic updates via text. They took great care of him and my quote ended up being $100 less than the original estimate. Everyone I interacted with was kind and professional. I was happy with the service and will probably return. I never write reviews but I was so surprised to see so many negative reviews I decided to post my experience.

Took my sphynx kitten in for a rash. They dismissed it and sent us on our way. A week went by and it became worse. I went to a different place and they confirmed it was feline dermatitis. Simple antibiotic shot was needed. Webster used to be the place to go, very unreliable these days. I'd like to suspend that veterinarian without pay. Refusing to return to this place until staffing is managed properly.

Used to go here for Dr. Tate and really liked them - however its been a steady decline for 10 years plus. Long wait times - terrible bedside manner with 2 of our dying pets and recently their phone doesn't even connect. I've tried calling a few times over the past few weeks to get them to transfer records to a new vet and not even their phone tree picks up - just dials to a dead silent line with nothing. Shame this has slid so badly.

Just had the worst vet experience here. Made an appointment for my dog for 7 pm. Waited for 2hrs to see a vet and then the vet wants to treat what wasn’t the issue

We came because our pet was showing signs of a UTI. The technicians focused on taking an X-ray and gave her a shot for nausea. We had to come back because as stated, she had signs of a UTI. They didn’t bother running urine or blood tests the first time around..so when we returned they confirmed that she had a UTI and hyperthyroidism. They said I needed a prescription which I said ok, but the pharmacy department was unavailable. They gave her a shot for the UTI but it’s since returned. It’s been 3 weeks of me calling daily and leaving voicemails, and I’m still unable to fill my prescription and they refuse to provide me with a paper script, or to allow Chewy approval to get her meds. So far they have gotten $900 from us and my pet is still sick. Also had to wait over 2 hours the 3 times we have been there!!! Don’t come here. First time leaving a 1 star review. I know that every business is short staffed, but when it comes to pets health, they should have better people.

They kept my dog there for a few nights to monitor my dog Zuke and not do anything but keep him hydrated and didn’t tell me anything that could help him. Got a bill for $1700 and my dog died the next day. This place is a joke

We took our cat in suspecting some sort of bladder issue. His bladder ended up being blocked and he was to be admitted into the ICU. We went in and saw Dr. Germany, and honestly she was very great. But unfortunately, that was the only good part of our experience. We got our quote. Said it would be from 1200-1400. They told us 1400 would be the max. We said that was fine. We paid 700 before we left. In the time Ty was in the ICU we had to call several times to receive any kind of update. When Ty was ready to come home and we went to get him, we were told that out new total was $2200. We never agreed to this. Whatever, we just paid. We wanted our baby back. They claim they had no records of us already paying the $700. We had to argue with the front desk until finally the realized we paid the $700 when he was admitted. They brought Ty out to us and he was covered in pee and had a bandage on. The tech informed us he was in fact covered in urine and that we need to take his bandage off because he doesn’t need it anymore. We asked why they didn’t take it off, and she scoffed and us and walked away. We got the paperwork. The front desk told us we were good to go. We told them we were supposed to receive medication to which she responded “oh, I guess I’ll get that”. She brings it out. We tell her we were also supposed to receive his new food. She asked “what kind?” as if we were the doctors and supposed to know. She eventually brought the food out and told us the amount. We told her the food was already included in what we paid. She argued with us saying it was not. We pulled out the invoice and showed her. She just said “oh okay, here.” When Ty got home, he was still urinating all over himself. We were obviously worried. We called and left a message to talk to a doctor. No one called us back. We called several more times and finally got in contact with us. We spoke to a male doctor (I don’t remember his name) and he told us that was a normal thing. It would have been nice if that would have been communicated to us upon our pets discharge. The experience here was absolutely horrific. I will never recommend the facility to anyone. Highly unprofessional, rude employees. No one seems to know what they’re doing there. We just wanted our fur baby back so I didn’t fight the additional charges. But I plan to now. Don’t bring your animals here.

From out of town and my dog got in a scuffle with another dog and had a wound I thought might need attention. They were very busy but j still got seen in a very reasonable amount of time. They took great care of my Lou and explained everything every step of the way and were all so nice. So so appreciated !!!

Waited an hour and a half while my dog is in pain. I go to check on our appointment and they never checked him in. They did nothing to try and get him seen.

We were told to come at 5:00pm. Got there at 4:50 to wait for 2 hours to be brought back! Then waited 25 minutes in the room before a doctor came in. This is not an exaggeration or out of spite. Promise you, do not schedule here. Filter the review tab to “newest” and see for yourself.

I’ve had to visit this place at least 5-6 times for my pet and I DREADED doing so ever since my first interaction with these people. Let me start off by saying, all of the VET TECHS, PHARMACISTS, etc anybody who works in the BACK are all fine. You’ll get good but EXPENSIVE service for your pet (it’s $85 just to be seen). But the receptionists? Horrible customer service. On my FIRST TIME VISITING, I called in the morning to check in and the receptionist who answered was EXTREMELY rude. I was so concerned for my pet and she kept cutting me off and responding in such a cold tone. That’s never happened to me and I’ve never been so upset after that! On my following visits, it was the same, cold, rude service. They also were very unknowlgeable about questions I had or the procedures of the actual work place to the point that they prolonged my visits to hours when it only needed to be minutes!!! On one of my visits, I was only there to pick up my pet and pay, so, naturally, after I picked her up I needed to go to the front. I asked a receptionist if I pay there and she told me she didn’t know and I should go to the back and wait for a doctor…. 1 hour later, a vet tech brought me back up to the front irate because all they needed to do was just check me out. I was totally disgusted with those receptionists. They were the worst I’ve ever communicated with in my life… we will NEVER be back so far as I can control..

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Not sure why people take their pets here. They are earning a terrible reputation for themselves.
