My dog had torn his dew claw and was hurting for a week (I kept him wrapped up and he had his cone of shame). When I came her I was immediately greeted by a friendly face and helped soon after I was in the system. The one thing I really appreciated was the vet told me about Manuka honey (used for healing) I'm partially black foot so this made me very happy. The vet and vet tech made sure my dog wasn't too nervous and would give him distractions like peanut butter. Our last vet visit (not here) my dog got so scared his tongue turned blue. I will definitely be coming back here for the friendly staff who went above and beyond and the reasonable prices.

Love this place! It's the only place I take my fur babies. Great staff, affordable prices and friendly people!

PLEASE PLEASE CHOOSE ANOTHER VET !! LEFT IN TEARS All in all HORRIFIC UNCOMPASSIONATE experience no understanding unprofessional service. TURNED AWAY BECAUSE I WAS USING APA GRANT FOR ADOPTED PETS. I try to stay local and support local new to area trying to adjusted. I also NEVER WRITE REVIEWS The receptionist should be fired! Went in personally to this office to use an APA grant for adopted pets for my dachshund. I also have payment I WAS PREPARED WITH I was prepared with all needed information to set up visit. The receptionist was given all info upfront and she advised me to bring it at the time of the visit. Well with my visit being tomorrow they decided they needed payment info today called repeatedly while I was driving which I explained to them while they were very confrontational talking over me ignoring what I was saying trying to explain things. She was ignoringthe fact I am driving asking me to hold asking me to talk to someone else and I was brief repeatedly asking to deal at a different time . So they canceled my appointment and told me to get services somewhere else. When I arrived in person with my phone ringing, from them, yet once again while driving in a matter of 10 min to drive across south county They offered no compassion very rude the receptionist explained today she didn't have time when I personally came in to schedule the appointment because it was almost 5 she didn't have time to write down a phone number . Well thats what she said to the office manager who stood by turning me away for no reason. The receptionist was lying to protect the inadequate job she does. At the end the office manager had no regrets once I clarified the information needed. Told there are plenty of vets All in all it was horrific. They DID make sure to tell me the vet was listening and in agreance with this awful treatment they had me in tears.

Took my cat here for conjuctivitis and they had us in and out. They're very friendly and conscious of the animals that come through. If a pet is anxious or fighting, theyll make sure you and your pet are away from the other patients so they wont get riled up. They gave me an ointment for her eyes and showed me how to apply it, and said if they werent doing better in a week, to come back for a full workup. I'm happy to say her eyes are looking much better, and the ointment cleared the inflammation right up. She seems much more comfortable and happy now that her eyes are taken care of. They even have treats and wet foods for scared pets to make them feel more comfortable during the examination. As a side bonus, they also recommended I look into joint supplements for her since shes an older kitty.

Small vet practice. Very competent & caring staff. Dr Rooney, Terri, Nikki & Lisa are so genuine, and really connect with pets. Highly recommended!!

All the staff I came in contact with were professional and caring! Appointments are gotten in a reasonable amount of time. And they answer your concerns about your beloved pets with professional knowledge! Clean atmosphere!

Absolutely love Dr. Rooney and the nurses there. They show that they absolutely love all the animals and so professional . They made me feel so welcome with an amazing energy where I feel my animal will be safe . She cares about all the little things to make your animal comfortable .

They were very compationate in our time of need with our cat Sox.

Was my first visit there today. The vet and office staff were very nice and kind. My dog was very happy and relaxed there. I would recommend.

We Love South County Vet Office!! My pup actually enjoys walking in the door! Everyone loves on her and instead of holding her down for vaccines, they distract her and she is treated so gently and kindly. This is in stark contrast to our previous vet, where my pup would start to shake immediately when we walked in. SCVO also makes getting online prescription medicine, like Bravecto a breeze, again unlike our previous vet. We are so happy to have found this gem! Thank you :)

Dr Rooney is very good with Chloe. Takes her time. The assistants help calm her the best they can. Everyone there are very kind and helpful!

Dr Rooney is wonderful and caring with all her patients. She asks about them when you come in without them, ex. To get food, medicine. The staff is always super friendly and caring!

They take great care of my fur babies. The also accept care credit credit card which is great as many places dont.

Dr Rooney and her staff took great care of our 7 year old lab and comforted us in a time when the difficult decision to put him down was made. Dr Rooney gave us every available option and walked us through the process one step at a time. When we get another dog, we will definitely be going back to see Dr Rooney.

I love this vet! Like all dogs mine are scared of the vet. I have one that is really good with everyone and one that has to be muzzled. He is always friendly and takes his time with the bad one. Both have my dogs have had knee problems at different times. With both of them he steered me away from surgery and wanted me to let them rest. I had gone to an emergency vet and they wanted to operate. I can now say that both of them are fine with just a little rest!

My cat was sick when I first went to this office. There was truthfully very little that could be done to help him, but unlike many vets I've taken animals too, he didn't immediately suggest putting him down. Instead he told us the prognosis was not good, but there were things we could try. While many vets could have then gouged us for expensive medications, he dispensed small amounts just to last a few days, making our bill much more feasible. Unfortunately my cat did not make it, but the doctor there gave him a chance and made his final days more comfortable. He and his staff were very respectful and kind to us throughout our sad journey. They went way out of their way to help us.
