Dr. Rueb is amazing! He is knowledgeable, kind and always willing to help. He has been amazing taking care of my aging dog.

One of our dogs had an emergency need and we were new to the area so had yet to find a new vet. The folks at Southside were extremely helpful in getting us an appointment that morning. After some blood work and X-rays we felt confident measures were taken to help diagnose our little rescue pups illness. Very thorough and took time to give options and we are very appreciative for Mindy and our new doctor (sorry I forgot her name but she was excellent). Thank you all for the great and friendly service!

i have been taking my pets 1 dog and a kitty here for over 20 yrs. They started out in south olathe and are now on the west side. Great Dr's and front end are excellent too! They love your pets and care about their welfare.

Southside Pet Hospital is absolutely AMAZING! When my regular vet wouldn’t make the time to get my dog in, Southside graciously got us in, the same day and took excellent care of us! My dog came in with an ear infection and Dr. Plass was so good with him! I honestly cannot say enough good things about Southside! The staff is so wonderful and extremely thorough! I am switching both of my pups over to Southside!

Having our first dog we decided to find a Vet who was close to home. We located Southside shortly after getting our new puppy & we couldn't be more happy! Great team of caring people . They really explain things well for first time pet owners & really care about your pet!

I was very impressed with the knowledge of Dr. Winkley and her true concern she had for my sick boy. She shared some immediate info with me as well as following up with more info as she said she would. The following procedure was handled very well and she kept in contact with me throughout the day. Highly recommend.

Dr McDermott has been so great with all of our pets over the years…kitten with chronic digestive issues that we eventually resolved, currently a dog with trauma (former puppy mill breeding female), both dog & cat dental care, aging pets and end of life decisions. She is attentive, curious, thoughtful, kind and an absolute professional who works to find solutions.

This was truly the best experience I could’ve possibly asked for they saved my cats life and kept me updated every step of the way!

We have a new puppy that was having diarrhea. Southside got us in the day we called. The doctor was professional and caring. He was knowledgeable, gave us options and told us all prices upfront, so we could decide what we wanted to do. We’ll continue to take our puppy there!

The staff here is absolutely amazing. We called this morning and they got us in as soon as possible, the same day. We ended up having to put down my best friend (Aura) of 12 years today and as you could imagine we completely broke down but I could sense that the entire staff was genuinely caring and compassionate. From Dr. Winkley (who is the kindest vet I have ever encountered), to the front desk (who kindly helped walk us through payment options), to the vet tech(who was so gentle and kind with our fur baby), and to the Dr (who wasn’t even ours) but still stepped into action immediately when we called for help. Considering the circumstances, you guys tried your hardest to make this process as easy on us as possible and I truly thank you. I really hope this amazing team gets the appreciation you all deserve!

Brought my anxious dog to see Dr.McDermott and she was so wonderful with her. My dog doesn’t really like strangers or vets and even though Kali was rude by barking, Dr.McDermott and her staff handled it with ease and poise. So glad we found a vet so close to home that is this great!

I've taken my pets to Southside Pet Hospital for years. I love all the Vets and Vet Techs I've been able to see during our visits. My dog recently had a dental cleaning and tooth removal with Dr. Winkler. She kept me informed every step of the way. She also checked his paws, which have given him issues in the past. She really cares about my sweet doggy, and that is the experience I've had with everyone at Southside. I also love that during the pandemic they allow me to check in and stay in my car so I can minimize exposure.

This was my first visit to Southside and it was a very positive experience, everyone was very friendly and did their best to make our anxious puppy feel comfortable. Would highly recommend to anyone dealing with an anxious pet.

Southside Pet Hospital is the best! The receptionist’s are polite and efficient; the veterinarian technicians are loving and considerate of my canine Zeke’s needs; the PAW insurance offered by Southside Pet Hospital and the staff Doctor’s are professional, responsive and have expertise in the various areas of veterinarian medicine. We recently moved from Olathe to Lawrence however, we will remain loyal to Southside Pet Hospital because of the outstanding service they provide and have provide for the last four years. Zeke is a healthy happy canine. Thank you Southside!!

Dr. Winkley was very thorough and nice. She made my scared pup feel at ease. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing a vet.

My dog has been taken care of and on a short notice too. I am happy with good doctors and staff. I never take my pets anywhere else.

My guinea pig surprised me with a newborn baby and I could tell she was still pregnant and struggling to give birth to another baby. Southside was able to get her in, examine her and get her into surgery. Sadly, the unborn baby didn't make it but they spayed mama and gave us little paw print cards they made of the babies feet. They were caring and compassionate. I love that there is a place I can take my small animals too. Thank you!

I recently had to make a very hard decision for my dog and Dr Wrinkley was amazing she comforted us through the process and we are very thankful for her companion during that time.
