We take our cat here for grooming, shots, etc. and really love the staff. They seem genuinely concerned about our little guy and we feel that he is in safe, qualified hands while there. Highly recommend to others!

We love them here! They truly care for our pets. They always take our calls. If we have to wait it isn’t long. My dogs have been boarded here and the staff truly loves them. I’ve called to check on our Pets and no problem reading off the notes me. We love the groomer, worth the wait! We had a dog pass away and they were right there to support me and my family. They truly are the best! We wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Our pup Max is well taken care of here. The staff are so friendly and gentle towards him. Taegan is the best groomer! We see Dr Weingartner. Her bedside manner is what won me over. She was understanding of us being new doggy parents. She also is fully transparent about pricing and recommends all options even at home prevention. 10/10 recommended

STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE! Called to let Blackbob Pet Hospital know I’d be 5 minutes late AND asked if that would be ok or if I should just reschedule - I was told that it would be fine and to continue on our way. Arrived at Blackbob Pet Hospital and was greeted by Maddie over the phone (previously talked with someone whose name started with a T not sure what it was, exactly) and she told me the nurse would be out shortly. Only to call back a few minutes later and tell me another appointment has arrived and my dogs time was almost up anyways so we could not be seen. Super unprofessional, had this pet hospital had better communication within themselves and their customers this could have been handled way differently to avoid wasting my time! We will not ever come back to this rude, non-communicative, unprofessional “place of business”.

Set an appointment for my pet online. Earliest they had was about two weeks out and at around 9am. Took the morning off from work and was all set to go. About 30 minutes before my appointment the receptionist calls to tell me that the Vet I had the appointment with no longer works there and hasn’t worked there in some time. I’d have to reschedule for a later date. Morning was already wasted and time was taken off of work. No thanks, taking my pet’s care somewhere a bit more reliable.

Amazing gem of a place. All the staff are always friendly while also being informative and reassuring. Fair pricing on medical treatments and boarding. Really trust my pups to get the best care here.

I've brought both my cat and dog here. When I had to put my cat down, the staff took as much time as I needed, we kind, caring, gentle, and patient. My dog had a bacterial infection from a sting and Dr. Meyer was happy to work him in even though they were swamped. She treated him with love and took the time to make sure I was well informed. She was also happy to work with my budget to find the best option for Momo.

Dr. Tina Weingartner is one of the best vets I have had. My 17 year old schipperkeke had numerous health conditions in his later years and Dr. Weingartner not only was very thorough in each appointment but she listened to all my concerns and went above and beyond making him comfortable and finding solutions that suited everyone. When it came time to say goodbye they were such a comfort for me and my dog. They're quick to call you back and everyone there was so kind. I already plan on bringing any and all future pets to them!

I just moved to the area 2 weeks ago and didn't have a local vet yet. Over the Labor Day weekend my pup developed a bad eye infection. I called Blackbob Pet Hospital at 8:10 am on Tuesday and they got him in at 11:00. Dr. Meyer came out in the rain to introduce herself and ask additional questions. She also administered the first does of medicine so it could begin working immediately. I was very pleased with my visit. A big thank you to Blackbob Pet Hospital.

Like a lot of other people, we got a new puppy in September and of course we brought her to Black Bob Pet Hospital. The team was always great with our other dogs and have provided the same great caring service with Greta. She is a bit of a frequent flyer with random stuff and the staff is always super patient in answering my questions and following to check and make sure Greta is doing well post visits. I would definitely recommend Black Bob Pet Hospital to any dog owner.

We have taken our black lab, Buddy, to Black Bob Pet Hospital since we rescued/adopted him in 2011. He loves going there. We took him to another vet for a year, and he was always scared and shivering and very anxious to get out of there. We finally figured out it was the doorbell that rang in the back, he was able to hear in the exam rooms. He hates those sounds. We brought him back and we have been so happy that we did. He is now a cardiac patient, and they follow his treatment closely with the cardiologist (Dr Shane Murphy). Dr Weingartner found he had an enlarged heart, incidentally when she did an x-ray for his cough. He saw a cardiologist the next Monday. BlackBob will do ordered blood work and when Buddy had his recent dental surgery, Dr Hughes used Buddy's latest cardiology visit report (EKG, Echocariogram) for surgery precautions. Buddy is healing well. He has seen Dr Hughes, Dr Anderson, Dr Meyers, Dr Weingartner for care. We love them all. They are thorough and listen to what you tell them is wrong with your pet. We also board Buddy there when we go on trips. He loves it there, and knows where to go when we take him there. I love that they have different levels of boarding for both cats and dogs, of all ages. Very reasonable pricing, too.

This place gave our dogs vaccines without our consent because they say it was "required" for boarding. Not to mention they got our pets shot records "prior" to boarding and said they were up to date on everything. While we were gone out of town, they called the next day and left a message saying that they gave both our dogs flu shots since it was required for boarding and to call back if we had questions. That's like giving medication to someone's child without their consent. That's a NO NO! We even filled out a form stating " Do not administer anything without speaking to us first". What's the point of filling out their form if you don't abide by it? Long story short I had to go through hoops just trying to get them to pay for the fee that they tried to make us pay for the shots! They eventually apologized and didn't make us pay but told us the flu shot does "require" a second dose so just make sure to bring them back for their 2nd dose. I made an appt for the 2nd dose since they said they needed it since they gave them the 1st one(without our consent). Not did I think they would try and make us pay for the 2nd one since it was "required" and we didn't even authorize the 1st one! I even called before the appt to verify there would be no charge because of what happened with the 1st shot. They agreed it would be NO charge! So We took them for their 2nd dose and they waited until AFTER their appts to tell us we needed to pay for the 2nd dose. This place is NOT to be trusted!! Never again! Oh, and we couldn't even pick them up when we got back because they said they were behind and had to give them their vaccines? But wait.. u called me 2 days ago saying you already gave it...?? And why are u giving it on the day we pick them up anyways? They been there 4 days already!? Couldn't even pick our dogs up when we were supposed to. Had to wait a whole extra day...but 1 good thing is they didn't charge us for the extra day. Yea go figure. Horrible business!

We had two VERY different experiences with this vets office. We took our 6 year old chocolate lab here to get her leg amputated. We saw doctor Anderson and we loved him, he literally saved our dogs life! The after hours nursing staff was amazing! They weren’t bothered by how many times I called to check on her and were so caring and compassionate with her. Stay. Away. From. Doctor Weingartner. However, because we loved the care our chocolate lab got so much we took our Pom there for allergies on a Thursday. We ended up having to take him to the ER for his cough the following Saturday where they did X-rays and heart worm tests. Both came out perfect except his throat was inflamed, they sent him home with cough tabs at the ER but advised we take him back to his regular vet the following business day. So we did. And This was a completely opposite experience, I felt I wasn’t listened to, I felt like I was pressured into more X-rays even though he had already had them elsewhere the day prior, I tried to tell them his treatment plan thus far hadn’t been helping him get better and the doctor we saw was in no way open to helping him get relief. I had them send the new X-rays to oncology where they said he came back perfect, but when I called back I got hung up on twice. I ended up just calling the ERvet back to see if he could get something to ease his cough at night so he (and we all) could finally get some sleep. She told me they could but the vet was out of town and legally couldn’t until he came back. But told us to call black bob back and tell them they strongly recommended a sedative at night. I called and got “I’ll try” and never got a call back. So now I still have a dog who’s cough isn’t any better and I’m out another 600$ And a vet. I’m so disappointed and truly felt like my dogs health didn’t matter to them which was such a stark contrast to what we experienced with our chocolate lab. So if you’re going to go to black bob REQUEST Dr. Anderson or Dr. meyers. Don’t go to anyone else.

Have followed up twice about dietary concern for our pet after a six month senior exam with bloodwork and have been told two weeks in a row the vet will follow up with us. Still haven't heard from the doctor.

I never visited this place nor have I ever set foot in Kansas, but somehow they got my email and keep sending me appointment reminders. Also, I don't have a pet. I called them about this and they are still sending me the emails. So, either my identity has been stolen and they aren't doing anything about it, they put in the wrong email and some poor person is gonna miss their appointment, or this place isn't real and its full of scammers. I am going to call them again and see if we can settle this.

Great experience. Got us in quick and checked on us the next day. Cost wasn't bad at all.

We've been there a short time and up till yesterday had no complaints. But our recent experience had some issues. We were given a quote, then told it might be twice that, then it was corrected finally. We were told we'd receive multiple texts before/after our dog's surgery.... we received NONE. We were also told we'd be notified when ready for pickup. WE had to call for a status. I was told that wasn't normal and given a sincere apology. I trust that our future experiences will by stellar as before. I'd still recommend them for a look-see.

They are so great with my fur babies. They take time to explain things and make sure we are comfortable with anything they do to our pets.
