Nice clean facility, great people!!

I don’t normally leave reviews but I hope this review is taken seriously if you love your fur babies. IF YOU TRULY LOVE YOUR FUR BABY DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE. We took our healthy 1year 3month old fur baby here for a routine spay and tail dock and she didn’t make it home. Well at least not the way she should have. She didn’t act right when we went to pick her up two different times that evening of her morning procedure. When talking to one of the techs (Dr wife) the first time, I asked what happens if my she doesn’t get better will they keep her, her response was “we don’t do 24 hour care and I’m tired and really want to go home.” They seemed clueless as to why she was acting the way she was and they said the way she was acting “is not normal” but it didn’t seem like much was being done to help her other than just fill her full of antibiotics; which she had already been taking one for about a week for something else. They also didn’t have much information from that morning to that evening of how many times anyone would actually check on her besides just walking by. The dr said they would stay with her even though they don’t do that; which made us feel better thinking we are leaving her in good hands and that they would be able to help he better than we could if something bad were to happen; but the tech left for 45min to an hour to go to the store and when she came back our fur baby had already passed. Their stories and excuses just didn’t add up to us. They did refund our money, they didn’t seem to thrilled about it and we requested they pay for the cremation as well which the dr wife (same tech) threw up her hands and said “well I guess we will just eat that too” We will not be taking any of our other fur babies there not even for shots. We heard later that someone else lost their fur baby after a simple procedure at this same facility. RIP MY BEAUTIFUL FUR BABY.

WARNING!!! Dr Placke does not vaccinate for the most common and fatal illness, leptospirosis.My vet said it's negligent not to. My parents dog died from it(he didn't even recognize the signs when they brought her in. He said to take her home and let her sleep it off. She became paralyzed and slowly died in their arms that night), my aunts dog almost died. I've heard of others who have lost their dogs from lepto and he still won't vaccinate them. If you go to him. DEMAND him to give the lepto vaccine.

Great vets. A bit pricey but for me and my dogs, the level of care they get.is worth it.

Look - we tried to give this place a fair shot. If I could give them zero stars I would. After my male lab got a shot and had a bad reaction for A YEAR - we were weary of this facility. We decided, ok, could've been the shot - lets give it a try. But they knew of the adverse side effects we had and yet continued to push the shot again. We recently went out of town and boarded our dogs here for a week. PLEASE - IF YOU LOVE YOUR ANIMALS DO NOT BOARD THEM HERE. My oldest dog (6 yo) has never had an issue after being brought home from boarding and we got a new puppy that had been boarded with him. They each came home lethargic and couldn't even go up the stairs. This has never happened previously. The first few hours of them being home consisted of diarrhea, vomiting, continuous water drinking as if they hadn't had access to it in forever and they were starving. Called the vet after the first 15 minutes being home, they couldn't tell me the last time my dog had been fed or given water for that matter. Told me that the vet could check them out if I was concerned but I would never bring my dogs back to this facility. I hate leaving reviews like this but honestly, if you care about your dogs like family, avoid this place at absolutely all costs.

We are dog people, and so is Dr Placke and his staff. They take amazing care of our pets. Would recommend this vet to anyone!

Dr. Waltz and the team at Raintree are phenomenal. I was referred by someone I trust to go and it is worth the 45 minute drive for the excellent care the girls receive there.

We took our bunny there to be neutered. They did a goog job. Staff was friendly.

We have been with Raintree Animal since they have opened. They are very willing to always help and in fact saved our first puppy’s life who is now 10 years old. We are very grateful for them and especially the Placke’s. They are a wonderful asset to Lee’s Summit.

I can't say enough good things about this clinic and their staff. Through one of the most difficult days, they were so kind, compassionate and patient as we brought in our Luna on an emergent basis, and made one of the toughest decisions we've ever faced. Dr. Placke and his team were so thorough and transparent through the whole process. The after care Luna received was top notch, she was treated as if she was one of their own. From the bottom of our hearts, we are beyond thankful. I would highly recommend Dr. Placke or Dr. Ellis and their team here at Raintree. Wonderful, caring place to bring your pets.

Dr Waltz is awesome! Good veterinary care for bunnies is hard to find so I really appreciate their clinic.

Great music and food venue. If you want to step away from the show and chat, there's an area for that too! Good pup grub that's reasonably priced and a great drink selection!

Love them service. They show that care all the animals. They also see bunnies too, that is a plus for me!

We are here visiting for the summer and our little Maltese Charlie got sick. I called 2 vets and they weren’t taking new clients. Called Raintree and they were able to see Charlie the next morning. The staff was great! And Dr Carpenter was wonderful! You could tell she really loves animals. Great experience and Charlie is back to normal.

I've taken my dog here since she was a puppy and they have taken great care of her. Staff is also very friendly!

Amy waltz is my fur babies vet for life. I won't go to anyone else. Treats them as her own.

They know my Dobermans pretty well

Very friendly, also has grooming and boarding options for your pets as well as the normal vet stuff.
