We live NMAH and wouldn't take our babies anywhere else

I’ve been so happy with North Main, I wouldn’t dream of taking my animals anywhere else. I trust them completely with my pets.

Just spoke to a Veterinarian at NMAH who cited, and I quote, "I cannot see your dog over the phone"! in an extremely unprofessional manner. She then continued to try to over-talk me as I tried to discuss the issue we have with our dog which has been an ongoing issue for years which NMAH has not been able to get a handle on. We agreed on a method of treatment. We will update this review upon today's treatment of our pet and us personally by the staff of North Main. UPDATE: Vet. Jennifer Ruble gave us three options, one of which was that she outsourced us to another facility in Wentzville in a manner that she did not care about our pet or our business. This person has no business with contact with the public given her attitude. We choose the option of an antibiotic and continue on the steroid that our dog has been on. This being said, we took our dog for his annual check up in March, he's had blood work, he's had two injections of Cytopoint. Given that Ruble cited "I cannot see your dog over the phone" as cited above, she apparently cannot treat a pet with the pet being in her presence either given that our dog has been seen at NMAH a handful of times since March. The issue our pet has has been ongoing which begs the question of are the Vets not well trained, do they treat pets to evoke future office visits, i.e. shenanigans? Seems they have been in our pockets with no interest in helping the quality and longevity of our pet's life. We will try this course of rxs, if no improvement how stupid would we be to continue patronizing this seemingly inept facility. Andrea who answered the phone was kind and professional. UPDATE 2: What a devious, inept animal hospital. Pursuant to the above and the options we were given which we selected an option, we received in the mail yesterday, December 28, a letter and our pet's records from NMAH citing that they will no longer treat our pet and to seek another vet. We haven't spoken to them since our pet's last need. People love their pets and want the very best care for them which this facility is unable to provide and does not seem to care. We were initially stunned when we opened our mail then realized this is a blessing in disguise. NMAH is not remotely the only animal hospital in the area. This facility behaves in an unacceptable manner then takes issue with their poor treatment of a living being which evokes a review albeit a poor review. If they did not behave in an unethical manner, we would not have reviewed in this manner. We feel empathy for those pets who are seen by NMAH.

They are great with my dogs!

My family has been going to this vet for 11 years now. After a few bad experiences we called the vet to ask some questions. My mother was met with a hateful veterinarian and we didn’t have the best interaction. Still we continued to go to them. Going back literally the next day to get my 11 year old dog medicine for his allergies. We got an apology from the amazing front receptionists. My Mom was displeased and wrote a negative review summarizing the whole ordeal. We don’t hear anything for months. Randomly out of the blue we get a letter stating that they will no longer be seeing our dog due to the negative review and what it in stated. I was shocked because we have been going here for years with no problems. Now we write a negative review and they now refuse to serve us. I would’ve understood if they had called us and tried to talk to us and make light out of the situation but instead have just cut us off.Absolutely horrendous business practices. This is a very upsetting series of events.

My 2 bull dogs have had to have surgery here our veterinarian, well HES SIMPLE AMAZING TAKES THE TIME TO CALL AFTER PROCEDURE, NEVER IN A HURRY AND TAKES THE TIME TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING SO ANYONE CAN UNDERSTAND and will personally call you back in a reasonable time if you have questions.

Wonderful staff and lots of great vets! My puppy loves them all.

Very caring and saved my family pet

You couldn’t have made it better... the staff here is totally awesome. I would never go anywhere else!

We brought in three cats, one deaf, and all nervous. Andrea was kind enough to help us carry in on a cool day, and the doctor was personable and thorough, amongst the chaos. Hated that the room, though roomy, smelled very much like a dog. If we were bothered by it, the cats must've been! BUT maybe that's just unavoidable, and maybe it, with all the barking, etc., it puts our cats into a state that allowed the examinations to proceed without injuring the doctor and assistant LOL. Anyway, we love this place and though we don't go often, they are thorough, even though they called it a 1 1/2 hour visit, and it only lasted 45 min. I felt they cared. PS - that russian siberian on the counter was the icing on the cake!!!!

I have been using North Main for many years and I love the care they give to our dogs. I moved further away but I still bring my pets back to North Main. The staff is excellent and very caring and I have never been unhappy with any of the Veterinarians that took care of us. I particularly like Dr H

Dr. Schulte is the best vet a pet owner could ask for.

Staff is outstanding and personable. You can tell they really love every animal and treats them all the same. Highly recommended North Main Animal Hospital.

Never had one bad experience in the many years my pets have been seen here! Very responsive staff. Always feel my pet is important and not just another animal they see. Always always always explain everything thoroughly. Never push for any tests - just offer the full care plan and then the choice is ours with no pressure. Receive follow up calls after a surgery or sick visit. Amazing!

There is nothing that could have made our experience better. The receptionist was wonderful. My absolute favorite is Megan. She was so knowledgeable about cats and gave us some very useful information. She was so happy and fun. You can tell she LOVES her job! The doctors were great! Thank you all so much ♥️

Don't feel like I'm paying out the wazoo for services. Just as important or more so, Maui is treated like a member of the family - they care about her well-being.

Very disappointed trying to set up an appointment. I had been going to Dr Schulte since he opened his place up for years. But, because we moved out of the area five years ago, I am considered a new client and need to fill out an application. Many of my pets have been there. Ginger, Mykee, Casey, Phoenix and others. But I’m considered a new client. Very disappointed.

I have been taking my fur babies to these folks for a few years now and I have to say they are very caring and extremely professional as to how they treat my pets. Doesn't matter if it's just a routine yearly exam or an intricate leg surgery they are the best folks to deal with. I really like the fact that they don't try to oversell you on services, they lay it all out and make sure you understand all your options and then they let you make an informed decision as to what is best for your pets health and well being.

This clinic is amazing! When you vet remembers the names and stories about each of your pets - that tells you something! Never felt like we were just another client. The staff is very nice, polite and attentive to every little detail. Thank you North Main Animal Hospital for loving and taking care of our pets.

We started bringing our 2 dogs to North Main at the beginning of the pandemic so it was nice to go in with CC and interact with the vet this last visit. All of the personnel are so nice and accommodating. CC had an issue a few months before her annual checkup. When we called the office to make an appointment to have her looked at, the person we spoke to gave us some great suggestions that worked. We so appreciate having a good relationship with this team!!

I cannot express how much the kindness and competence of the team at North Main put us at ease when faced with an unexpected surgery for our senior gal Mya. I was worried, but knew she was in great hands, which made leaving her there for a few overnights a little easier. She is now home and one the mend, with all the thanks for that going to this amazing staff.

This hospital was recommended to me years ago and it has been wonderful. Fair prices and they try really hard to fit in short notice problems. Always helpful and keep me up to date on my dogs needs!

Best vet in ofallon! They treat our two dogs with the up most care and respect and always helpful with questions and answers! They are very well managed and the staff is so nice to everyone and treats our pets as of they were their own. I love that we are always kept in the know of when our next appointments are and how gracious they are with scheduling.
