This is the worst place ever i dont use them if it was up to them they woukd let my chihuahua dog(my baby) die of eclampcia i give them -100 stars

My dog started getting sick on Monday memorial weekend. I called around to many vets getting emergency numbers to get my dog in somewhere. The man who answered the phone was very rude, let me know it is a holiday and that he takes care of his patients only not other people..and basically said good luck and hung up.

Worst experience I’ve ever had. Was calling to get information on an appointment and had to call the other vet to cancel my appointment and I let the rude vet know that, and he told me not to bother calling back if I was calling for prices. And hung up Terrible manners. Terrible customer service. And doesn’t listen to anything. Had some God complex. I would NEVER recommend them. No wonder they’re the only vet in town with openings!

Today was our first visit to Dr. Esterly and we have decided to stay with Dr. Esterly as our pets veterinarian. He is professional, knowledgeable, gentle with animals and extremely personable. It was refreshing to find someone with such an upbeat personality and positive attitude. Will definitely keep him ????

Always get treated with respect and my dogs love the people there. Vet is very gentle and fully explained each procedure and care of my dogs. Prices are reasonable and I’ve always been able to get in when there was an emergency.

Got me in the same day when my dog was needing treatment. Quick, friendly service and affordable!

Was very rude to me and hardly explained anything. They practically ignored me the whole time, and got irritated that my dog barked. Ended the appointment quickly and just overall I would only go there if I had no other option.

I take both of my fur babies there. I'm extremely happy with the service and the vets knowledge. He's direct, has a big heart and explains things well.

Brought in my sick cat and the vet was able to figure out what was wrong pretty quickly. Seems to have a pretty good knack with the fur babies too.

Just a warning! Don't EVER take your dog here- Not only were we customers for 5+ years, but the vaccine certificates we were given had missing information (expiration date, and batch number) This is a standard policy for vets to include on the certificate (so that others know when the animals vaccine will expire) After attempting to contact Dr. Esterling (more than 5 times) from another state, he called my number back on a Saturday- he not only yelled at me on the phone telling me to "BE QUIET" but was rude, unhelpful, and unwilling to rewrite a new certificate after the vet here in UTAH had to contact him for the correct information. Why would you call a customer back, yell at them to "BE QUIET" , and then continue to say " I won't help you until Monday " You would think that a vet of 5 years would be, more patient, helpful, kind, polite, etc. His practice is outdated, clearly has never dealt with pet travel so if you ever want to fly out and need the correct documents- You're at the wrong place. As a customer that paid to have my dog vaccinated, a vet that is unwilling to re-write the certificate (after incorrectly writing it) and SCAN it in an email- and then gets frustrated with me, a customer, because he couldn't fulfill his duties as a vet. Save your time, money, and energy going to the worst place in Jefferson City. If you're in a pinch and need the correct documents, a vet that can only respond with "Well if they need more information they can call me" and then not even be available, or willing to help on a "weekend" (I called before they closed on Saturday) because it's too much work to to re-write a vaccine record correctly and scan it. He never even scanned the document, sent a blurry picture taken off of a phone. (What kind of vet practice can't scan and email a copy?) And in the end, was still of little to no help. I moved to a different state and upon my first appointment my vet in Utah has done more for me than he has ever done. It's nice when you can tell that a Vet is a Vet for the right reasons. As another review stated on here, there are 5 star vets in Jefferson City- going to a place that hasn't been updated within the past 30 years (SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY). Worst vet experience ever

Excellent care for my cat.

As soon as I walked in it smelled like cat pee but I thought I can get passed it and then we walk to the back I put my dog on the table and she’s a little dog so I expected him to take care of her but when we got there he was supposed to give her shots and cut her nails but whenever he gave her shots she got all of her vaccines he grabbed her fat and just stuck her with the needles really rough and then when he got to her nails he was doing OK and then all of a sudden he clipped one and it started to bleed which I figured oh my goodness but it could happen because my Chihuahua was moving but then he end up cutting six nails and making six nails bleed and only four nails didn’t bleed at that time I was not really happy and then when I told him that my vet that I usually go to is Woodland animal hospital they give her peanut butter while they cut her nails so that way she’s not moving around and he didn’t listen and he went ahead and clip her toenails and then he said when I told him that they were bleeding and it shouldn’t have bled that much he said I cannot clip toenails perfectly with a moving target well and my personal Opinion I don’t think he should be able do you practice on animals anymore I’m not trying to be rude or anything but I would not trust bringing my dog back here they are cheaper than Woodland vet but I would rather pay $200 for my dog to get The same thing done then paying $136 on this so my dog can be hurt I would not come back here if I was you but that’s my personal opinion

This place is GREAT! The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and they can help when money may be some of an issue. I've had 2 males cats fixed here. One of them has had an abscess this year and last. The first only required antibiotics, the second was actually 2 next to eachother and required surgery (it was a little pricey, but nothing compared to other vets I have seen). He is completely fine now. They also have flea and tick medications for cats and dogs that actually work!!!

Dr. Esterly is amazing! We recently had a minor emergency and out of six places I called, he was the only one who could see our dog that morning. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and got us in and out quickly, not to mention his very reasonable rates. They greatly care for the well being of the animals. He offers a low cost spay and neuter as well! I couldn't recommend him enough, and we will be seeing him with all of our pets from now on. Thanks again, Dr. Esterly for taking care of our pup when she was hurt. She is back to her normal self already.

Dr. Esterly is the best. He took care of my Kibbles for 13 years. She would not allow anyone else to touch her. His prices are more than fair, he explains what is going on, and he cares. Best place around! I would drive from Columbia for her to receive the best care!

Everyone you encounter here is kind and helpful. Dr Esterly is so compassionate and makes sure you understand what is going on. He has neutered our kittens and now our momma cat, very reasonable cost and gives you confidence that you are doing right thing!

He is an honest man and doesn't try to push anything unnecessary on you or your pet. He explains everything really well and I'm very happy with the service. Prices are very good too!
