My family started with this office when we had guinea pigs. No one else in this area took "exotics". We were able to get in and have our guineas seen for all kinds of things. They were well cared for. We have a habit of adopting strays in need. The next pet was a very tiny black cat. I wasnt sure what kind of health he was in and they let me bring him in immediately. They checked him over, and the we scheduled shots and neuter. This office knows their stuff. The next animal was a lost older dog that happened to show up in my carport. I took the doggy there and they treated him. The officer who came with me assisted in paying for the bill. We found his family. The vet clinic said he was overheated and had a skin infection. they treated him, and sent him home. Our last pet is a pug. He has never been to the vet. This month he got shots, nail trims, and nueter. We couldnt be happier with how professional and caring they are. They always treat our pets with love and respect. They always call to check. anytime I want to talk to the dr. she calls and we chat. 11/10 would recommend. OH and they are super cheap compared to most places!

Absolutely love this veterinarian and staff. Would highly recommend, if you love your pet, to take them here!

Could be better they do make a lot of mistakes

My very first visit was AMAZING, they are now my EXCLUSIVE facility!! Lilly Munster seemed quite at ease & received EXCELLENT care!! ????

Editing my review after having to use this vet for other services while my regular vet was too busy. I've had better experiences since my old review. The good and the BAD: The Good: Best prices around. Great for getting shots, and the usual. Neutral: Had a male dog neutered and there are 2 very different kinds of neutering. They used a more invasive procedure than my other male had with my regular vet. I will mention that this male was older and more mature than the male that had the less invasive procedure, perhaps it was necessary. They did a great job with the tattoo. Had a cherry eye removal on one of my dogs. It looked no different after surgery, they said the swelling would go down, but it only got worse after. She also had a big hot spot or burn mark on her back after surgery. They said it was from her itching that spot, but it was a location I felt she couldn't reach. They did at least give me free powder for it, that took care of it quickly. The BAD: Not good for emergency services. I brought my dog in one day that was very lethargic and vomiting. She was sent home with antibiotic pills (which she couldn't hold down), misdiagnosed with a small ailment, when in fact she had a bowel obstruction/infection, and passed just a few hours later in my living room. I don't blame them for her death. Even if they had operated, the infection was severe. I just feel like they shouldn't have missed what was going on entirely. ------

Best vet by far!! Im new to the area and so many veterinarians turned me away. Heartland was welcoming.

Very fast clean and excellent service

They saved our furbaby Shy when she got really bad sick. And months later they spayed her and each time she has been there they called us to let us know how she was doing. Best veterinarians we could ask for for our Shy.

Really helpful and cheap on nails getting trimmed.

A wonderful experience. Had my dog neutered and they called twice to make sure he was ok. I have 3 dogs and will be taking them to heartland in the near future.

This is the only place I will take my husky for vet care. They are so patient with him. They even added a post of my dog who passed away about the Rainbow Bridge.

I had an emergency with my dog. I called my normal vet and they could not get me in until the next day. I started calling down the list of clinics. The other vet in Farmington suggested I take her to St. Louis, instead of suggesting this or other local vets in Farmington. When I reached Heartland I was getting very emotional because I couldn’t get her in anywhere. In addition we are currently on shut down due to COVID so many places are operating differently. They were very compassionate and caring, they got her in immediately. They assessed her, assured me it was something very minor. They did not push for any extra testing, just let me know if there was problems to call them and they would see her again. Which tells me they are not just out for $$. I requested lab work just to be sure. They did the testing, and thank goodness everything was good. The doctor was very friendly and answered all of my questions. The whole visit took less than an hour. Very impressed. We will be using them from now on as our regular veterinarian.

My wife and I have been going to heartland for a couple years now and have never had anything but the best experience. Dr. Barton and her staff are extremely kind and caring. You can tell that they truly care about your animals and it's not just a formality. Also on top of that the price is a steal and is unmatched by any others in the area. I cant recommend them enough.
