The moment I called I knew it was going to be a great place. The lady on the phone took time and didn't seem to rush me while I asked my questions. When we walked in everyone seems so nice and so friendly. It was a great experience for us as a new puppy family from the moment we walked in from the moment we left. Plus it was open on a Saturday which was fantastic because my husband and I work during the weekdays.

Our pet rat needed immediate care from a veterinarian. Our regular vet, who doesn't treat "pocket pets" recommended My Zoo. Even though we were new clients, My Zoo was able to see us that day, handled our rat with respect and very gently, and provided the right treatment to cure her. I was extremely impressed with Dr. Debbie and all of her staff and I'd happily endorse them to anyone seeking care for their pets. Thank you, My Zoo!

My lab got a bottle of liquid children's ibuprofen and in the process of chewing it up ingested who know how much. I spent nearly 45 minutes on the phone trying to find ANYONE who could actually help me. MyZoo was the Only place that was able to help. I called the two emergency clinics in town, MU was very full and sent me to Horton and they didn't show any interest in helping me. So when I called MyZoo and they instantly told me that they were going to figure out how quickly they could see me it ment so much. They said they would call me back in 5 minutes, they called me in 2, and told me to come in right away. If I ever have another emergency I will be calling MyZoo first. And I am considering moving all my animals here for their primary care. Thank you so much MyZoo for working with us to help keep Charcoal healthy and happy!

I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Debbie and team for over 10 years. They are wonderful with my pets. Highly Recommend!

Don’t board your dog here. I used to work here and whenever they ran out of kennel space/runs, they set up crates in the back of the building that had VERY LITTLE ROOM. You might as well be well of boarding somewhere else on the holidays.

My Zoo is the greatest. Everyone is so nice and understanding of the pet's needs, even when that pet is an overly excitable 10 month old, 92 lb puppy with abandonment fears that is too smart for his own good. (He's a handful, but they treat him with the utmost love and always seem happy and excited to see him.) My Zoo has been our first choice for a while, and will continue to be into the future!

My dog is a huge baby with the Vet. They are always so patient and helpful. You know they love your pet as much as you do. I recently lost my dog of 17 years, every single staff memeber was amazing. From making the hard phone call, to saying our final goodbyes. The entire staff at My Zoo goes above and beyond at every step of your family member's journey. Dr. Debbie is the best!!!!

All of the employees were professional and very easy to talk to. I had just adopted a kitten from the humane society and had no clue how to care for her. The vet and vet tech answered all of my questions and put my mind at ease. I highly recommend coming here for your fur-family’s medical needs!

I had an excellent visit from start to finish. They had an office beardie which immediately made me feel like I came to right place for a checkup on my 18 month bearded dragon. The doctor and tec were so knowledgeable about beardie and even had personal experience having them as pets! The doc let me know I could call, text, or email the office at any time with questions or concerns. 10/10 would recommend, excellent service, excellent experience.

Took my dog there for a weekend stay a year ago got my dog back she was very hungry and dehydrated got her a new toy in me knowing my dog it wouldn't have lasted a good hour when I picked her up it still had the tag on it! If you love your pets please don't bring them here.

I took my rabbit here shortly after I adopted her because she was having issues with watery eyes. They gave me some eye drops that I was to use for 14 days. However, they didn’t work and her eyes appeared to be worse. I contacted the shelter I got my bunny from (House Rabbit Society) who recommended I take my bunny to their vet who was very experienced with rabbits. That vet told me that the eye drops I was given were not meant to be used in rabbits because they have a steroid in them. So sadly my trip was a waste of time and money. I’m very disappointed. I also never got a chance to speak with the actual vet who looked at my rabbit. Because of COVID I wasn’t allowed inside, which is understandable, but I had questions for the vet specifically that I was not able to ask her. I’ve been to my regular vet for my cats multiple times since COVID started and usually the vet will call me after they’ve checked over my pet to make sure I don’t have any questions. The vet the shelter uses also did the same thing, so it seems weird that My Zoo did not; it was all handled through (I believe) the vet techs.

We have been taking and boarding our animals there for years. I always appreciate their reasonable prices and friendly, caring staff who are always flexible with our schedules. I must commend them especially on their COVID precautions over the past year. You call when you arrive, take your pet into the first set of doors and they pick them up and take them in for treatment, they call you when they are finished, you pay over the phone and pick up your pet in the first set of doors. No contact, no stress, and no interaction with other customers or their pets. After drop off on our last appointment I went to the car wash, swung by Sonic for a snack, drove back and listened to a podcast before picking up my pet (amazing for a working parent on a lunch break lol). Props to their tech Patty, she always calls the day before to confirm appointments and treats us like family. We switched from Horton’s to MyZoo for convenience when we moved to north CoMo and while are moving south again next month we plan on staying with MyZoo for all of our pets’ needs.

Good for emergencies and just about nothing else. Overpriced. You get charged a full vet visit but don't get to see or speak with the vet most of the time. We had to come for a follow up 2 days after them seeing my dog. Staff didn't check my dogs chart when he came back and their scale was messed up and the gave him too much medication. They filled my other dogs anxiety medication with capsules and gave instructions to cut in half. This cannot be done safely. When I complained, the vet then refused to refill her script. It's been months and she is a wreck. Tried to fill at Noah's Ark for that medication and our other dogs antiinflammatory because MyZoo was overpriced. MyZoo called Noah's Ark to request they fill it instead and still gave us the unsafe and incorrect capsules and overpriced meds. They have really really gone downhill in last 10 years. Just seems all about the money now and not quality of care.

Overpriced and some staff is rude. I will say some staff is very kind and patient but in the end not very helpful. They did not tell us what our dog had.

I was so scared to bring my dog Whitey into the clinic because I have not needed to be there since her initial shots. With all of Covid going on I was very worried for myself and for Whitey. It comforted me to know the routine that they were following to keep everyone safe. Of course I was nervous not seeing Whitey personally while she was being examined, I was confident that she was in comforting and concerned hands. I was so relieved when the veterinarian contacted me and informed me of the procedures we had to follow in order to take care of her. The office then contacted me, A very nice office manager, I gave her my credit card information and she informed me that Whitey will be in the airlock ready for me to pick up. I had no concern whatsoever about being exposed by anyone in the office whether it be a patient or an employee. Whiteys doing great a few days on antibiotics and she should be fine. Thank you my zoo for taking care of all of us by social distancing.

I moved here from another town where my vet understood my pets are my BABIES! We made an appointment we waited 3 hours in a in a small room with 3 pets. Then when the vet came in she only addressed my dog... I have 2 cats also!!!???? so we waiting another 30 minutes, then instead of following what my family vet has always done as far as shots they gave me all these options. I told them I didn’t know so I guessed on what shots they needed. When clearly they knew what my vet had done cuz they had forwarded the records to them. Then after giving them shots they didn’t need my younger cat threw up for 2 WEEKS straight!!!!! I called my vet back home and they asked what shots was given, I told them. They said it was because a shot that was given was 1. NOT NEEDED 2. NEVER given before therefore my baby was having an allergic reaction to it. Now meanwhile something happened my credit card receipt didn’t print so I wasn’t able to sign it but I was charged. They called and asked me to come sign it this is a couple days after being seen. I told them about how sick my cat was and they didn’t care they was only worried about me signing that paper. My vet from home called every day walking me through how to help my baby and checking on him. My Zoo NEVER asked how my baby was yet called like a collection agency 3-5 times a day my phone and my daughters phone asking me to sign a receipt in which they’d already gotten payment for. 2 months later I finally told them to stop calling and I’d make sure EVERYONE KNOWS NOT TO TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!! All they want is your $$$$$$$$$$$ ????????????????????????????????

We have been clients of Dr. Debbie Leach for many years, followed her from Noah's Ark years ago when she opened her own vet hospital. They have always treated ourselves and our furbabies with quality care and compassion! Dr. Debbie and Patty have always gone above and beyond when needing to be seen and share our concerns. Wouldn't choose to go anywhere else for care. Thank you for all you do!!

I had just moved to Columbia and had not established a Vet. My dog was old and fell very ill. I needed to put her to sleep and the team at MyZoo could not have been more wonderful. I was a mess so they basically treated me too. Highly recommend and when I get to a point I can adopt another dog. This is where they will go for care.

Since there are not a lot of reviews regarding birds, I thought I would write this one. My husband and I took our bird (conure) to MyZou recently for a nail / beak trim and check up. All costs were announced to me beforehand on the phone. The place was clean and didn't stink of dog to a sickening point like some other places in town... We were seen on time. I was offered some water, which was nice. The staff was very good with my bird; they gave her some time to adjust to the unfamiliar environment before starting, also they let me try to convince her to do what was needed of her instead of forcing her, even though that meant the visit took a little longer. To trim her nails, beak, and do a body exam, they did have to catch her of course, but they did so in a very efficient and careful manner and my bird was not hurt in any way; she was as comfortable as possible given the circumstances, and not too terrified. They had a gentle but good grip on her, so she didn't fight around. They took care of her nails and beak well and with care. Then they gave me the time to lure her back into her carrier (she was adamant to not leave my shoulder, even though she steps up no problem when at home), and we left. Within minutes my conure seemed to have forgotten all about the visit. She was not at all traumatized, and went home like nothing happened. The rest of the day went normally for her. I was very happy with the visit; seeing that our bird did not seem to keep a bad memory of it at all was a very good sign that these people did their job well. We will definitely go back.

Our puppies have been taken care of at Myzoo for years and they love it here. The staff and the doctors are very attentive and accommodating. Our 9 y/o had an emergency at the end of the day yesterday and was seen immediately by Doctor Rachel. Highly recommended!

I went here looking for a veterinarian that was local. My experience with Debbie and the staff was awful. When I scheduled my dogs appointment I told the receptionist that my dog is anxious and asked that if we could be placed in a room …

We boarded our beloved lovebird for a week while we were out of town. He was recovering from a feather-picking issue but was otherwise healthy and happy. When we picked him up he was drenched in some kind of an ointment, was having trouble breathing, and died within days. We even brought him back to see what was wrong and they said he was fine. Clearly, he wasn't since he was dead within 36 hours. When I called to request a refund, Dr. Debbie put me on speaker phone and wouldn't tell me who was listening in until I pointed out how unethical that is. She refused to take responsibility or to issue a refund. They made a huge mistake and our bird paid for it with his life and we are paying for it with our heartbreak. The before and after photos speak for themselves. If you love your pet, stay away! Update 09/20/20: We have since learned that the ointment My Zoo prescribed and drenched Dodge in is EnteDerm, which states in all caps on the tube "FOR USE IN DOGS AND CATS ONLY." Dodge was a bird, and a small one at that. He was poisoned.

Came in here sometime on June 3rd, 2019, but just now writing this review because after talking with someone, my experience here was really bizarre and unprofessional. I took my rabbit Peanut here when no one else could see him for a possible G.I stasis. The vet tech took me into the exam room with my rabbit, then 10 minutes later she came back into the room and demanded that I pay for the visit first before the vet or vet tech can look at my rabbit. If my rabbit needed any additional testing or meds, then they told me i would pay again after my visit. I was taken aback because I have NEVER had to pay for a vet visit BEFORE the vet could see my animal. So I had to leave my rabbit in the room alone as i went back to the front desk to pay them. After the vet saw my rabbit, i had to then go back and pay for all the meds. I just think its really unprofessional to make someone pay beforehand before they can see your pet and then make you run your card twice. Unsure if they do this to everyone or they are discriminating towards certain people, like people who look like college students (which I am not)

Do not go to this vet. They may have been ok before the pandemic but they are absolutely terrible now. I had the worst experience. I was having to euthanize an old dog and would have never expected it to go the way it did. In order to be there for my dog so that he was not just left in an unknown lobby alone and scared, they came out into the parking lot to put him to sleep first. I got stabbed with the needle first with no apology. The staff was so cold but the vet herself tried to make it better by coming up with the parking lot idea. It is possible to allow people into the vet office right now. Other businesses, including another vet I now use, have figured it out. It is not ok to not allow pet owners in the exam room. Social distancing with a mask is possible in a building. I will never forget this experience.

I went here when my regular vet was booked and my dog needed to be seen ASAP. I was a little nervous because of some of the reviews but didn’t have any issues. The exam fee was more expensive than the other vets in town. Unfortunately I didn’t get to meet the vet due to COVID but Dr. Rachel was very nice over the phone and explained everything. My dog got some treatments for his ear infection and he seems to be doing better. Overall was good but there’s better places in town.
