Not only was groomer bad but had to take to the vet next door to finish and pay extra to vet....now she looks like a goat

Extremely disappointed. Booked a boarding for my cat 2 months in advance so I did not have problems closer to Christmas. Had a great phone call with the guy on phone while booking and had mentioned to him that my cat was FIV+ and heard that there would be no problems and that my cat would not be around other cats. Great! I was confident about leaving him there while I was away for 10 days. The week before I dropped him off there I called a couple times to make sure I had everything for him or if there was anything I was missing and I wasn’t. The day I was dropping him off, 3 hours before my flight, I was told I could not drop him off due to him being FIV+. I was very upset and even more so that I received zero help from staff there and also was greeted by bad attitude while I explained the situation. Very disappointed with this place.

I’ve been to each location of Petropolis one time. The Chesterfield location is more convenient to me so I’d prefer to go there. Took our great Pyrenees there in early December for a bath, ear cleaning, & nail trim. Dropped him off at 9AM & he was supposed to be done between 2PM & 3PM. He wasn’t done on time and all the services I had paid for weren’t completed, on top of that he was soaking wet. (I had left his groomer a 21% cash tip before I realized this). I called right away and spoke to the very nice guy who answered the phone; said he would talk to a manager & have them call me back. Instead he called me back in about 15 minutes and said no one was available right then but someone would call me within 24 hrs. That was 2 weeks ago.

Kobe has attended day camp and has lodged here for long periods a few times now. He LOVES this place and goes crazy ???? in the car whenever we go (he knows the way)!!! As long as he's happy, I'm happy ????

Excellent staff, very attentive to my dog's needs. When she stays and i pick her up she is always in good spirits, vibrant and healthy. They also always wash whatever bedding and toys i bring for her before i pick her up

Think twice about trusting your furry friend with Petropolis. Our eight month old puppy was left alone for most of his stay, had very little exercise and stimulation, and went without water for long periods of time. We ended our trip early to remove him from these conditions. Details: We boarded our puppy at Petropolis in Chesterfield and signed up for group play sessions for all three days. He spent the first day in the room alone until I called. I was told he was “missed” and would be taken outside immediately. He had 15 minutes of group play and 20-30 minutes of 1-1 time before returning to the room. I called again and spoke with a manager who admitted fault and had someone do another 1-1 session with him, but he still spent most of the day alone which is not what we signed up for. The second day he went out for group play in the morning but was once again in his room most of the afternoon. I didn’t call this time because I was concerned that they would get annoyed and ignore him even more. When we arrived to pick him up, there was no water in his bowl. I was told they only fill water at certain times… 6 am and 12 pm were the relevant ones. He had two bathroom breaks in that time, but no one checked his water so he had one (small for him) bowl in six hours. This alone is cruel for a puppy who is used to unlimited water as recommended by our vet. None of the dogs were taken out for play that morning because “the temperature was in the 30s and their heaters can’t keep up.” I was not told about this stipulation when I made the reservation. If none of this has dissuaded you and you care about group play, you might want to inquire about winter when the temperature is regularly in the 30s or lower. I requested a call from the facility manager to share our experience. I finally got a call two days later from the manager for the St. Charles location who could only say she would “look into it.” She didn’t offer to follow up and let me know why our dog was neglected in their care but did ask that we give them another chance, which is ridiculous. If you are concerned about hydration, exercise, and stimulation, take your dog elsewhere. If you want to feel like you’re getting a deal, this place is great… the estimate will be high but once they take off the things you signed your dog up for but didn’t receive, you will save money. To top it off, our puppy came home with kennel cough.

Petapolis is amazing they were always so professional they did such a great job grooming both of my cats and worked with him so well I would highly recommend going there if you have a cat of your own

This was our first visit therefore I can't give 5 stars until we have more experience.

The attention given to my dog, the grooming, the complete daily updates , makes the complete package for a Petropolis overnight stay.

They did a awesome job all three of my Shih tzu. The dogs we not stressed and happy when I picked them up. I will be booking again for Christmas

They treated Peaches as if she was one of their older dogs. The staff was knowledgeable about grooming, older dogs and products offered. I highly recommend them.

Do not send your loved animal here. For starters, they do not take the dogs out until about 4 or 5PM at night and allow them the use the bathroom in their beds. They also do not feed your dog at the right time either. My dog came about extremely anxious and I believe that they do not treat the animals correctly. Please don't go here, save yourself and your dog.

My dog had orientation for boarding today, and they took very good care of him. He doesn’t like most other dogs, and is a strong, stubborn guy, but they handled him so well. They were very kind and loving to him as well. We look forward to his stay with Petropolis next month.

We had our Bernese start training at 4 months and after the first 5 lessons, she could sit, lay down, focus on us and do a gentle touch as well as working on her social skills. Over the next weeks she continued to progress and "graduated" by the time she turned 5 months. While we continue to reinforce and strengthen their training, the team there was outstanding. We would not hesitate to reccomend them to others or use them again. Their affection for our puppy as well as the communication back to us was much more than we expected.

The dogs looked wonderful when I picked them up. My dogs were happy, staff is pleasant and professional. Best grooming experience I have had for my two golden doodles.

Staff is super friendly and helpful. Facilities are gorgeous. Play options are varied. Great experience.

My pup Rocky practically jumps out of the car to get to the Petropolis staff as soon as we arrive. He absolutely loves it here. He has not only boarded a couple times, but is also groomed here monthly by Shelby who he seems to LOVE! He also attends day care 1-2 times per week. We love petropolis! I trust that he is well taken care of every time we show up.

I work here so I might be a little bias but we take excellent care of the dogs I even bring my own here when I go out of town and know they will have a great time in group

Great way to let your dog get their energy out. Kept in touch with me to let me know how my dog was doing which was very nice. The staff seemed very professional and cared for my dog as much as I do. Definitely going back there again.

They did a fantastic job with both my pups and took extra care with my super scared guy!

I took my two dogs so they could meet the other dogs and also the staff. I was amazed at the feedback from Petropolis but also how they did it. Their emails and texts are greats.

My dog has been going to Petropolis for over 4 years now. I love it as I know they take such great care of her. Avery loves everyone at Petropolis. They are the BEST!

Highly recommend!!!! I have 2 large covid pups that I have to board overnight for a work trip. I was so worried about finding a place that would work with their behavior difficulties from lack of socialization. My dog trainer recommended Petropolis and I am so happy! They send pictures, a report card, and a variety of options for interactions during boarding. Thank you so much!!!
