Webster Animal Shelter Madison, Mississippi

My fiancé and I have a young dog who was getting lonely so we came to the shelter and found her a new best friend!!! They get along so well already & the staff was so kind and helpful. Not to mention this was the cleanest animal shelter I’ve ever seen. We couldn’t be happier with the whole experience! ????

We adopted a puppy from them about a year ago and recently had to bring her back. It was a heart breaking thing to have to give up a pet, but she wasn’t a good fit for our family and we tried everything we could to keep her. But we just couldn’t. The woman who is on most of the videos was very sweet and empathetic, but there was another woman there who was rude and condescending. I was so upset that I couldn’t adequately process and respond to her rudeness but she didn’t make the process any easier.

My dog ran off when I was helping a friend move. Went to the shelter and the had him. Not only fed and happy.. but bathed! All aces in my book!

PreCovid: Have some cute animals but the dogs clearly weren’t walked enough. Also, no one ever answers the phone and they come a little too uppity if you ask me.

My pup got out and they took great care of him. They were an extremely friendly staff.

It would be 5 stars if they accepted pits from Ridgeland which is about a stone's throw away what they have drawn the line at Madison only. Not sure why.. nice people and not a kill center

The shelter was extremely nice and clean. The staff were so helpful and very hospitable. I recommend to visit this shelter.

We went to this shelter today because it is our son's 8th Birthday as my husband had seen some puppies on previous visit, he was excited to try to adopt. We had filled out the paperwork and when we got there the ladies were REALLY RUDE and pretty much ruin his Birthday!!! They don't tell you that these dogs have to be inside 100% and we were going to have them both indoors and outdoors, so we came out empty handed and heart broken. Also, my husband called to make an appointment for today's visit and no one returned his calls!!! RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!

We just became foster parents for 3 newborn puppies that the mom rejected. So far they are doing great and they are more active and eating more,they are so cute and we are more the grateful for the opportunity to save these little guys!!!!

I volunteer here and it is overall a wonderful environment to be in.

Serene animal care shelter. The animals are well cared for. They are open to school children who can volunteer to help as part of their community service during their holiday. I visited the place in the company of my family friend's son who was a volunteer there. He had a great time helping out with the dogs. The responsibilities given to such child volunteers are graded based on their ages.

Wonderful experience here. They gave me everything I needed to care for a stray kitten that had a litter of three in my storage room this past summer. I am visiting them today to sign up for volunteering. Please consider donating or volunteering. This is the best shelter I have ever dealt with. Kind hearted knowledgeable people!

Webster is clean and run expertly. The staff is friendly and genuinely cares about the animals they are helping. They have a legion of volunteers and collectively handle the animals as much as possible for the animal's and future owner's sake. They also do their best to interview potential owners (to weed out the crazies) while simultaneously expediting the process so neither animal nor new owners have to wait too long. I've adopted from and brought stray animals to Webster and I can't say enough nice things about them.

Wonderful caring staff who bent over backwards to help us find the puppy that would be the perfect fit for us. This shelter is a true testament to the attitude and caring nature of our community.

The staff was very friendly, except for the older woman who worked up front. She was short when speaking to people and condescending. I would prefer to never have to interact with her for the rest of my life.

Came looking for assistance and was basically turned away at the door. Very disappointing and disheartening for an animal shelter to not want to care for animals.

Sucks that we cant stay longer into the day???? but I'm glad they're helping these babies out and giving them another chance????????

The facility was very clean but the staff was very nonchalant yet rude. I did not even want to walk through and look at the dogs because of the staff unprofessional yet lack of hospitality. So we went on down further to another animal shelter to receive our new dog. Stay away from Webster animal shelter until they get a new better staff. Me personally I would not even give a dog away to this place. Someone need to report them.

My wife and I went to Webster, I was going to adopt a dog named Memphis, I had lost my husky of 9 years, they were promising and a lead on, I was going to take the dog in the truck with me, he was housebroken and very well mannered, we told the supposed lady in charge that we were going to go get the adoption fee money out of the bank and buy some new stuff for Memphis, while she ran my application, she said she would call us, I spent over $150 buying stuff for Memphis, not including an expensive bag of food to donate, she called our vet, she never called us nor would they answer the phone, we were told when we went back I couldn't adopt him because our other dogs hadn't been to the vet in over a year, they have had no reason to go to the vet, no shots due or anything, this supposed lady in charge got down right rude, I was going to give Memphis a very laid back easy life, but I guess it was because my wife and I didn't pull up in front of they're bogus adoption center in a Mercedes or jaguar, that lady, Webster and everyone there can go to hell, a very poor excuse for a animal rescue place, needless to say, they didn't get the bag of food I was going to donate, it went right back out the door with me, I hope that lady and the staff are proud of themselves for costing a good dog a good life, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking to adopt a pet, they are pathetic

Adoption fees include vouchers for spay/neuter. Friendly staff. Clean atmosphere!

My dog past away a week ago, I stopped by to see some dogs and possibly adopt. They were very unwelcoming, after going in 3 rooms the guy showing me around walked off while I was petting a dog. I then walked into the hall where two women workers were looking at their phones and where did the guy go? They were as non caring as I have ever seen! It was a horrible experience! But I will say they are up to date on looking at their phones! Will NOT go back nor support any fund raiser they are associated with!

The people are great here and love their animals and what they do. They always have abpet to love and will love you back. The except volunteers too. It's an awesome place. I adopted my boy from here.

My family and I love visiting Webster! Everyone is always so super friendly and helpful. We adopted our fur baby, Harley the Cat, from here and hopefully will be adopting a puppy in just a couple of weeks!

So glad Webster Animal Shelter is here for everyone. Friendly and they really care about the animals. Especially helpful in getting lost pets back to their families.
