Banfield Pet Hospital Savage, Minnesota

My fur baby got sick overnight. I called the savage location and they were able to fit her in on a busy Monday morning. Dr. Adelman called me to give me an update and the best course for treatment. Let me know the cost in advance. They were friendly and nice and thorough. My pup is never terrified to go and she was her normal perky self when I picked her up. The following day they called me to check up on my pup and that was a really good feeling. They let me know too that they’d be closed the next two days for the holiday so she’d need to go to emergency if something happened. Such a nice courtesy. I highly recommend this location for great care and customer service.

Banfields Savage is a great place to take your pet. The vets care and take great care of your pet.

Great communicators. And I live the monthly payment plans. Care calls. Always kind and my dog loves going there.

Some really great people working here at the time of writing. They know my dog by name and are always eager to help answer questions. You can tell they really care. This Banfield is one of the good ones.

We are so pleased to have found a vet we trust. Everyone we have interacted with has been so personable, kind, and efficient. We always feel well attended to. In just a few months they’ve started to build relationships with our two cats and we couldn’t be happier.

These are professionals that live and breath animals, they love what they do and get to know and care for your pet like other place. Dr. Niles was very caring and discerning in figuring out my dog Titan's diagnosis. Bring your pet here.

Too expensive to even walk in the door for an ear infection. Almost 200$ found a way better place instead.

We love this place! We haven't been in months due to Covid-19. Finally went for dinner and our awesome waiter (Dan) whom we had many times before. He remembered us and what we liked to drink and eat! We were amazed! Everyone is great there, but we had a blast joking around with him. Glad their open and working to serve the people that love them. Thank you! ????

We cannot say enough good things about this Banfield Savage location! Each phone call and visit, they have treated us and our dog with the utmost patience and respect. They truly make us feel that our dog is part the family and have her best interest in mind. She's been seen a couple times now for "minor ailments" over the COVID-19 months and ALL the staff never makes us feel like we have wasted their time, they truly care and make sure to listen to everything we have to say! Special shout out to Dr. Nielsen. He's the best!!

Was easy to make an appointment and easy to get in. Ik the Covid29 rules but i don't like handing my dog over to anyone and her getting out of our site.

I like the vet that is helping my dog now but very disappointed in past brought my dog in for a sore mouth and was given some damn wipes brought her back 3 months later to vet there now and she has cancer throughout these people were clueless and didn’t take the time for my dog now I have to put her to sleep wish I would have taken her somewhere else right away

I was told that my dog had been seen for his comprehensive exam, yet received no evidence - bloodwork test results, etc. that this exam had occurred. I did receive a comprehensive exam report that indicated my dog's overall health was good in the following areas: urinary health behavior lung health abdomen And that his weight was 36.8 pounds. I do not believe he was looked at because: his urine was orange (clearly not in good health) his behavior had changed, which was a reason for the visit(clearly not in good health) 24 hours later an emergency vet indicated he had lots of fluid on his lungs (I doubt they even listened to his lungs, clearly not in good health) 24 hours later an emergency vet indicated he had extreme abdomen pain requiring pain medication (clearly not in good health) 24 hours later, his weight was 31.9 pounds, a large difference from 36.8 pounds. 24 hours later, and emergency vet had to re-do the same bloodwork from the day before because Banfield-Savage gave me no results of testing they had allegedly done. My previous experience at Banfield in Burnsville, MN was that I received all copies of all bloodwork and results upon departure from the animal hospital. I would not recommend this location.

Dr. Nielsen and his team are great! Recently started using Banfield after moving to the area and are very happy with their quality of care.

Wrong diagnosis just seemed concerned about getting as much money as they could squeeze out of me.

Great staff but slightly disorganized, asked them specifically NOT to cut my cats nails but they did it anyway. Otherwise they make treatment fairly affordable with plans and they keep you very well informed while your pet is in their care.

Quite disappointed at this clinic. At the time of selling us a plan we were told additional visits are included. Now that we needed to come in there are no visits available for several days. The dog has severe rash and needs to be seen today. Definitely will consider this at time plan needs to be renewed.

We have taken our doggo here a few times now even though it's not the closest one to our home. The techs are always kind & really patient with our barky-boy. Dr. Nielsen saw me on whim once when my dog had torn his pads. I was panicked, but it turns out it was no big deal after all. I know anxious pets can be annoying at times, so I appreciate their kindness!

Not our closest Banfield, but they were able to get us in same day when little Kenobi wasn't feeling well! Their puppy wellness program is already paying for itself! This location was super quiet and low stim(on our visit) which was perfect for our puppy! Staff was super friendly, helpful, and informative! 10/10 would recommend!

They wouldn't see my sick cat because I was 8 minutes late. I know they have schedules, but had I known that in advance I wouldn't have made the 25 minute trip.
