We scheduled surgery to pull a tooth during a dental cleaning. They saw the tooth and DIDN'T pull it. The didn’t call about it they didn’t even acknowledge the tooth. So we had to put our dog under anesthesia a second time within a month in order to pull the tooth. The practice manager, Tyler, said because it was their fault we would have to pay $0 out of pocket for the surgery. Great thank you for accepting fault and taking responsibility! Except the day of the surgery they are making us pay $650 for the surgery claiming little to no fault now on botching the last oral surgery and saying they are only going to cover the part of the surgery that would have been covered by the dental cleaning. Great. Thanks. They also reschedule drop offs and appointments without notifying you or asking if it is ok. Really helpful. We will not allow them to see any of our pets anymore.

If I could give 0/5 I would. This place is awful. Employees there always seem annoyed and angry working there, I can never get through via phone to them and when I leave a message I don't get a return call. Last time I brought my dog there, she was terrified and the person taking her back very aggressively kept yanking on my dog because she wouldn't move. MAYBE THAT'S WHY MY DOG DIDN'T WANT TO GO WITH YOU. Just awful. Avoid this location at all costs.

Just want to give Dr. Bakken and staff a big Thank You for treating our kitty Beverly when she wasn't feeling good! Even though Beverly doesn't like going there and can get pretty feisty with them they let us bring her right in! The pet insurance also saves you money. We do so appreciate all that you do! Thank you!

I lived in Plymouth and brought my pets to the banfield out there for years. We moved here a couple months ago, I also got a new kitten. I made an appointment for the kitten to get a checkup, and for my dog's annual teeth cleaning as well as her checkup. First, they didn't give me my dog's paperwork summary for her visit when I picked up both my pets. Second, I couldn't get the kitten plan for my cat because I didn't know her age, and so I'm paying extra each month for then to spay her (they were aware she wasn't spayed). Third, they didn't let me know, or give me advice about when I should get her spayed, so when I made the appointment (about 4 weeks after her first visit) she ended up going into heat and... wouldn't you know, that's additional money. I'm livid... had they suggested I spay her sooner or set it up at her first visit, I would have saved over $100. As it is I wasn't given the choice nor was this explained to me after her first visit. As mentioned my pets have been patients at Banfield in Plymouth...I don't think this would have happened had we still utilized them. I would suggest going to another clinic if you have the choice or making sure you are proactive and ask any questions you can think of when you're there. I had assumed they would suggest a time, and had I known there was the possibility that it would be extra money if I waited longer, barring any health issues for my kitten, I would have had it scheduled as soon as possible after her first appointment.

They have put into place measures to protect themselves and the customers from Covid-19. Always friendly and helpful when I have questions or concerns.

I had an appointment for my cat 3 weeks ago to get shots and a check up. Not 10 minutes after dropping her off I was called to pick her back up and told they could not complete an exam. Even though she did not receive an exam, and I have been calling for weeks now to get this resolved, I was charged for an exam with the vet. I've called 10-20 times to get a refund on that part of my bill and keep getting told they'll call me back which they don't. So not only were they unable to give my cat an exam but they won't refund me for it. Furthermore, they were running over 10 minutes late to pick her up so I spent more time waiting for them to take her than they spent with her. Lastly, I don't know why but they have 3 different phone numbers and no way to know which one is the correct one. Not to mention that even though there's an option to leave a message, it isn't set up so you can't. I won't be going back again except to demand a refund. I wouldn't recommend taking your pet here, but especially cats since they are unable to work with them.

Today was the last straw. Wouldn't look at my dog with a cut on his leg and made us drive 30 mins across town with my wife laying in the back unbuckled holding him while we bleed all over!!! What do we pay you for! I've been a customer for over 25 years and your customer service HAS TURNED TO GARBAGE!! canceling all 4 of my dogs insurance!!

I had worked for this company for 12 yrs a long time ago. I had worked with good vets and bad. Figured I would give them a try even though I didn't know anyone there anymore. My dog is my kid since I can't have any of my own. Went in for my appointment and was told I had to go back outside, text them, and they would come out and get my dog. I asked if there was going to be an exam and talk to the vet. They told me the vet would call and talk to me over the phone. I'm sorry I don't know you guys and I don't even get to meet the vet and staff. I understand the whole Covid but I had my mask on and there is plenty of room in that lobby for social distancing. I'm not going to leave my kid with just anyone. Left without needing the services I was looking for and won't be back. This company has gone so down hill since I left

The techs and vets who work here care for your pet as if your pet was their own. They take the time to get to know you and your pet so that if any problems do arise you can figure out what to do.

Each time that I’ve been to this location they have kept us waiting in our car for curbside pickup more than 20 minutes past our drop off time. Very disrespectful of peoples time.

I don’t know why this clinic does not have a higher rating. People must only post a review when they had a negative experience. This Banfield clinic is very professional and provides comprehensive service. Their wellness plan offering is also extremely competitive for the value it offers. I compared Banfield’s wellness plan to 14 other pet clinics in the area, and Banfield was one of the most competitive (only one other clinic had a similar offering for a similar price). The team at this clinic is professional, communicative, knowledgeable and caring. Highly recommend.

I can’t believe this yet again banfield has taken money of our account three weeks to early and taking more then 45 dollars. What do you need 109 dollars for? When the plan is for 45? This has happened 4 times now. Called corporate and the wait is over two hours to speak with someone. We can’t cancel our plan cause we’d have to pay the difference but for all the times our account has gone negative we shouldn’t have to. I suggest everyone try a real vet cause they do the same plans as banfield does. This steals from his customers and then some. Take your business elsewhere

If I could give less than 1 star I would. My dog as been with Banfield for just about a year now getting treated for heartworm. She had the same vet that we absolutely loved every visit until the last time we went in. Come to find out our vet had left and no one had decided to let us know, and no one acted like they knew what was going on. Fast forward to today, I had picked up records for my dog to make a file at home. When going through those records, I had come to find out that they had given me records to 5 other pets as well, which included the owners names, addresses, and phone numbers. Amongst other information. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE.

Today was my first experience at Banfield. Dr. Rachel Barnes and her Assistant made our visit enjoyable and made my kitten feel comfortable. They explained everything in detail and was very patient with my kitten since this was her first visit. By signing up for the the Wellness Plan, it makes having a pet affordable. I would definitely recommend Banfield!

Because Loki was crypt orchid he amores serious operation 1st to locate his testicles and 2nd to surgically remove them. Luckily they found no uterus or ovaries, just his little balls way up by his stomach. Having them removed set me back some, but the idea of not doing so, and then having him developing testicular cancer, made the procedure worth the extra $$$. All the vets involvement in the planning, support and skillful completion of the procedure was very reassuring and gave me peace of mind.

I took my cat here to get his anal glands expressed I sat in the lobby for 40 minutes waiting for them to do the service. They came out with my cat saying that he was hissing at them and they were unable to perform the service. I have taken my cat to the Banfield in Edina numerous times and I've never had any bad experiences and they've always been able to perform the service on my cats. I will never take my cat back to this location the ladies there clearly do not know what they're doing.
