I love St. Paul pet hospital. They are simply the best. I know live in the suburbs but will make the trips to downtown St. Paul just so my dog can be seen and evaluated by this wonderful staff. They are terrific and consistent. Would recommend to anyone looking for dependable and high quality care for their pet.

I'm a little upset with this place we found a small black and white kitten who had been clearly injured by a car we tried multiple emergency clinics but most couldn't help so we attempted to reach out to see if we could get help and we were told that we would have to pay $135 before they would see her, It's pretty bad when you claim to do this for the animals clearly that's not the case this poor cat suffered in her final hours cause profits were put over helping a poor animal found on the street

I have had a couple of urgent cases they never have time to get her in when it's some what of an emergency! What good are you if you cant ever take her in for an emergency? Instead always telling me to find an emergency vet, shouldn't you have blocked out times for your already patients??? Soooo mad right now! ????

I took my dog in to see Dr. Bork. What a nightmare of a "doctor." It's been a while since I met someone so condescending. I do have to thank her because now I am taking my records and going somewhere else where I am treated better. I honestly don't think she cares about the quality of her medicine

The care is great, but I only have a few small complaints. I was on hold for 17 minutes standing outside to get food once and my ride almost left. I waited 10 minutes another time. I come by bus most of the time and the weather isn't always comfortable. I call when I'm a few blocks away. I paid $9 more to get home. I just wanted to pick up food. Some techs don't do what you ask and communication needs to be tighter. I understand it gets busy and times are stressful, but taking notes and double checking requests would help make sure things go smoothly. I ordered food because it was almost gone once then when I called back to check if it was in yet it was never ordered! I had to give the dog far less. Not sure how that happens. Another young guy answered and didn't even know how to take an order. Strange. The receipt gets forgotten or I get handed the opened case of food instead of separate bags. All in 1 bag results in the bag breaking and it's too heavy. * Could you please order extra cases of the Purina Pro Plan Veterinary RX Canine canned UR food? * I have to call almost a week in advance and it's always out. That was never the case until the past few months. We order 7-9 cans twice a month. Once we requested a shot never given which was resolved at another time. My friend says she wishes she could see her original vet, but we get a different one often. Too many staff is confusing for the dog, but is also great to serve more pets and to get them seen quickly. This is our backup choice because the main one is always booked which is very frustrating. The owner is homebound so I do everything for her. I know there are cheaper vets, but one wasn't a good experience and another is too far and would only consider if it was super urgent. I wish all vets had monthly payment plans to pay off the bill like a credit card and according to income, but you have to go to Golden Valley for that. Sucks to not be able to drive. Kudos for the kindness of all staff.

Over the last seven months, we have received an inconsistent quality of care for our furry family member through St. Paul Pet Hospital. While our initial visit with our puppy seemed great, we quickly realized that the staff does not communicate with each other and as a result he experienced a lot of pain and lack of love from the staff. Most recently, our puppy was neutered here. After putting down a down payment to reserve the date (standard procedure), we received a call two weeks prior to the appointment that he was scheduled at the location that doesn’t preform surgeries. We rescheduled for a few weeks later when they had another opening. On the day of his surgery, the surgeon never talked to us. The vet tech sent him home before he could eat and was in very poor condition and extreme pain. He had to be carried into our home. The stiches were not removed correctly a week later and required three additional visits and a later infection that had to be treated. Of course, this was all paid for by us and none of it covered by the clinic for the lack of communication amongst their team. We have chosen to change clinics because we see our dog as a part of our family. I would recommend families to do their research before choosing this practice as the quality of care was missing from our end-to-end experience.

They cost way too much for the services that you get and they are not accommodating. I would give them zero stars but I had to at least give one to submit a review. I have brought my cats for a scheduled appointment there twice now and while I’m out front with my cats they have rescheduled the appointment. Even when you call to tell them that you’re on your way they still make you reschedule. There was even a time where it was their fault because they didn’t look closely at my cats records. And schedule an appointment that should have waited. I would not recommend them. I also did the new pet plan which was two cats it cost me roughly $1000. I didn’t feel that I got $1000 worth of pet care for them and the whole reason why I did the plan was to save money on pet care and all it did was if I was a day late on paying the bill monthly I would get a $50 overdue fee which is just causing more problems to somebody financially not stable.

Really great experience especially for rushing without an appointment near close on a Friday night! Everyone I talked to was incredibly kind and empathetic and they were willing to see my dog right away. The vet, Dr. Maynard, was very helpful over the phone (COVID protocols) and got my dog back on the right track! Very quick as well!

Recently moved to Minnesota and I needed care for my 2 cats and dog. Scheduling was easy, operation hours are great for someone who works from 9am to 5pm. Doctor Maynard was great , she was professional and compassionate. I recommend this place.

Lovely local vet! They're thorough, kind, and knowledgeable while being reasonably priced. They're patient with our dog and two cats. They've been willing to get us in quickly and we've never had trouble getting an appointment when we needed one. We love St. Paul Pet Hospital! Dr. Jonny Logas-Lindstrom is our favorite.

Very happy with St.Paul pet hospital! I have a very anxious dog and they do so well with him. I also appreciate they are up front and honest about options and pricing and let me know the cost before they do anything. Highly recommend!

We have been going here for a couple years now, and the staff has worked with me to make sure I either can get my dog in or can help me without it emptying my bank account. Dr. Abi was our recent doctor helping us with multiple issues that came up with our puppers, and she was wonderful. She took time out of her night to do research on the best option for us and had wonderful communication. Would highly recommend her!

I had an emergency situation where I had to bring my kitten in for getting into some medication. The staff was wonderful! Very friendly and helpful. AJ was the vet tech that assisted me and she went above and beyond to make sure my boy was taken care of and helped to keep me calm in a stressful situation.

I'm not saying they're terrible but I don't think I'd ever go back. I feel like it was more about the money than the animals. Im sure their rent is extravagant because of location. The people were not rude or anything, I would just go elsewhere so I could afford to have the proper amount of help instead of breaking the bank to get a few helps

I would just like to point out that I’m not a client at this pet hospital, but I have a great feeling that I would not regret bringing my pet in here if I ever need to. My original vet clinic just closed as I was having an inquiry about my cat so unfortunately, I couldn’t call them. I ended up calling here to ask and the woman on the phone was so caring, and made me feel at ease about my question. So I have absolutely no doubt that they treat their actual clients with the utmost professionalism and care. That phone call definitely lessened my anxiety and I could not thank you enough! ????

Every team member I have encountered has been wonderful. They truly treat your pet like he is one of their own and take such good care while your pet is in their hands. If surgery is needed, they explain what needs to be done in a detailed manner and lay out all costs upfront which is much appreciated. I am very happy I found them!

Please think twice about bringing your beloved pets to this outfit. they are dishonest and proved to be about money and not pet care. My pet was bleeding out of his nose when i returned after paying emergency cost and they turned us away . i found quality pet care at como pet hospital for a fraction of the cost and they followed up with every thing they said .

They were very kind. I was not told I would have to leave my pet when I arrived for the exam and walked away which was very disheartening. But we kept in constant phone contact and they were very professional and very caring.

Super caring. They’ll get you in for an emergency when they are open. Non-emergency still get in same or next day if they are booked. They listen and care and respect the persons knowledge and experience with their pet. It seems like parking would be tough but I honestly always get a spot on their block and they make sure you know about where you can’t park. I thought it would be expensive because of the location but it’s really reasonable and worth having a great vet very close by
