Friendly helpful staff! They are normally able to get me an appointment fairly quickly. If you have questions between or prior to your appointment, a vet or a vet tech is typically able to provide me helpful information! Overall, very pleased with NVAC as our vet!

Dr. Treder is fantastic. He has been a tremendous help to me and my two dogs. He is extremely thorough and provides clear communication and reasoning for his decisions. The staff are great and treat my dogs so sweetly. I can't think of a better place to bring animals!

Had to bring my kitten here while on a trip to Mayo. The staff members here are wonderful! Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. We were able to squeezed in for an appointment the same day. Very good care, and also, great explanation and education from vet. If I lived in the area, I would definitely make this our permanent veterinary office.

Great for surgical needs, but things just aren't like they used to be prior to COVID.

Very good with difficult animals

They preformed emergency surgery on my cat that was hit by a car. He made it out of surgery and survived when he likely otherwise would not.

We have been going here for years. They are all so compassionate with all of our pets and they always follow up following a sick pet visit.

I never hesitate to call when I have a question or concern about my cat and feel reassured everytime I leave or hand up the phone. When something happens at home and I'm not sure if I should bring her in the vet chats with me over the phone to give recommendations if a trip into the office isn't necessary. I appreciate their helpfulness, thoroughness, and their assistance to keep my cat out of the vet more than neccessary.

They took great care of my pup! Not the biggest fan of some of the general advise I've been given on puppy behavior here, but they're not dog trainers.

Northern Valley Animal Clinic is the only place I would bring my pet. Dr. Richardson and the entire staff are beyond amazing. They go above and beyond to make sure pets are cared for like family. I highly recommend Northern Valley Animal Clinic.

The receptionists are so friendly and helpful!

Sat in car for over 30 minutes in -30 windchill with no call!!! Nothing! Served another client over ys though we were first! Did not offer us anything for this. Back to VCA we go. Foolish people. You lost two patients today. Horrible customer service!!!!!!!!

Thank you to our Minnesota hearty technicians that have been day after day retrieving client pets and returning them in near zero degree temperatures. As the temperatures improve, we will ask our clients to meet us at the front door in order to shave a few minutes off of these exchanges and improve the time it takes to serve all of you.

Not only were they accepting new clients, they were able to see me "same day"! (A rarity during a pandemic) I was turned away from 4 other clinics, and my dog was in a lot of pain. The entire staff was professional and friendly. My dog and I both "enjoyed" our time, as much as you can in a stressful situation. Dr. Richardson listened to everything I had to say and was very considerate in working out a treatment. I am excited to continue care at Northern Valley!

They take great care of our kitties

They've been caring for my pets for over 20 years. They go above and beyond to make sure that my kitties are happy and healthy and answer all of my questions thoroughly.

I recently moved to Rochester and because of COVID I haven’t been able to find “my” vet in Rochester for my best friend, FinnDog. Over the weekend my buddy hurt his leg chasing a ball so I reached out to Northern Valley in the morning and they got him in that day for a visit. Dr. Herman and his team were incredible and did such a great job with him and with me. I now know who “my” vet is and I am more than happy that it’s the team at Northern Valley!! I 100% recommend the team/people at Northern Valley for care of your pet/s!! Not sure if they will read this review, but if they do, I just want to say THANK YOU again!!

My Doberman had a fracture that didn't heal properly. A pet store animal clinic vet could only suggest over medicating or full leg amputation. I went to Northern Valley to get a second opinion. Dr. Trader suggested removing the toe which was swollen and excruciatingly painful. After doing so, my 12 year old dog was full of energy 3 days latter. She's still healing, but she's happy again! I highly recommend Northern Valley Animal Clinic!

I was looking around for Veterinary clinics that were familiar with blue dog syndrome. They told me they had a vet that was familiar with it and scheduled me with her. I was so so excited because blue dog syndrome isn’t very common and not many people know about it. When I arrived, I had to call for someone to take my dog in because of COVID, which is totally fine. BUT I was waiting in my car for over an hour, and that day was 95° out. I just wish they would have told me it was gonna be while. I was told that I would have to do a blood draw to see if my pup had hypothyroidism. I told them I didn’t want to do the blood draw, I already knew he didn’t have hypothyroidism because of my regular vet and I had told them that yet they insisted that I get a blood draw. All they gave me was a shampoo for my dog, they called me two days after to “see” if it had helped with anything. Not sure how a shampoo would help 2 days after it being used? It normally takes a couple weeks. I’m disappointed with my visit with them and I will not be going back.

I think it’s a bit ridiculous that you have to sit in your vehicle while your animal is seen by the vet due to COvid restrictions. I work in a hospital with direct patient care. Patients are allowed a family member with them. Had I known this prior to this appointment, I would have looked for a vet that allows me to come in with my pet. I have no problem if they want me to mask and stand further than 6 feet away from them.

Great place to have your family companions (exotic pets or common household pets) seen. Great care and service. I could not be any happier with the care they give to our loved ones.

Very friendly staff and doctor and my puppy was happy going in and coming out. They took great care of him.
